Check to see what volunteer search teams or individuals are willing to do more extensive search operations without being invited by the municipality.

Think outside the box.

Law enforcement has been extremely incompetent during this whole ordeal. They do not care AT ALL and have no interest in the case. All they have done so far was taken the laptop, kept it for 2 months, and then returned it saying they couldn't get into it. I have no faith in them.

Is it with the Monument PD or El Paso County Sheriff? Do you keep in touch with anyone with the forest service or at EPC SAR?

In my opinion there is ample evidence to suggest Kevin may have harmed himself and none to suggest he is alive and well somewhere else - there is no online activity, no phone pings, no bank use, no leads pointing to Kevin acquiring a fake identity, no contact, all from an individual without access to transportation other than the bus and friends who claim to not hear from him. Of course, it is their job to figure out which way or the other!

Following is a link to a Facebook page made for Matthew Shelters and Sam Davis. Their cases are not totally similar other than Matt disappearing in Steamboat Springs and Sam being a possible suicide, but I am hoping they can provide some inspiration on how to use social media to help rally locals and get help and media support. If Kevin is out there somewhere alive, a Facebook page can also help reach him. It doesn't have to be as detailed as here, but serve as a way to diary your search efforts and talk about what Kevin means to you.
Find Sam Davis
Search for Shelters

(then make sure these guys are invited to it CSPD Missing Person Unit)

Also, do you know if Kevin had paid his rent for Sept?

We now have a Facebook page, I'll take a look at these links for inspiration. Thank you.

As for the rent, Kevin had negotiated with the landlord so they wouldn't have to pay rent until the landlord repaired a few things around the house. They hadn't paid since they moved in.

I would double check on this...there are very few landlords who would agree to this. This is one of those things that makes me give the side eye.

Your facebook page looks great. 200 follows so far! Progress!
Take one... day... at a time.
If you can accomplish something small each day you are on the right path.
Very proud of you.

I believe that was confirmed by our mom when she went to collect Kevin's things.

Some very interesting comments.
Dylan Clark said he saw Kevin between 7am and 10:45am on Sunday, September 2, the day Kevin went missing. However, based on his location, his sighting would not have been Kevin. Kevin was still at home until 8, and based on how fast he typically hikes, he would not have been able to make it to Clark's location until about 11:00 am at the earliest. He also could not specify if Kevin's shirt was yellow or green when we talked to him.

Is there a Mt Herman recreation page? A patch.com page? A town page? Anything at all you can think of to share your page to.

He invited us over to his house to tell us what he knew, mar90 actually went. He was apparently really high, which baffles me if he wanted to be taken seriously.

Just remember it's Kevin's assumed path.
Maybe just hear him out again. No stone unturned.
Have you spoke to the girls he refers to?

This lead was followed back in September. The girl who Clark believed was one of them was questioned. She said she had never gone up Mt. Herman before, and that weekend, she was sick and stayed in bed.

We have followed up on his story to the best of our ability and any way we look at it, it wasn't Kevin, we have a fixed point where we know Kevin was at 845 based on that we know there is now way he was anywhere near Clark on that day.

I. Am. Amazed.

As I said before - it is great to have family members of KR here with information. Also WEBSLEUTHERS with some fresh ideas.

Thank you all for the brain storming. We are trying to cover all angles and leaving no stoned unturned. Our local LE has been useless. I basically yelled at the cop and demanded he call the sheriff to activate SAR. I said that Kevin was a danger to himself as means to get SAR involved. It worked. And it wasnt a lie, I do believe he is a danger to himself. We still have contact with SAR but weather is a factor now and other missions as well. I think he was very suicidal. I want to believe otherwise, but its difficult . We have areas to look at and areas to look at again.

I have reviewed the drone footage again twice today. I have found nothing. However, there still remain many boulder fields in the area that the drones did not survey. I intend on visiting these, conditions permitting, when I am done with the semester.
