Very interesting comments near the end of the article. Guess who had hiked in the area where Annie was found.

"On Monday, Miller's mother, Mary Trounce, said her daughter had nothing to do with Meyer's disappearance, but had hiked with her frequently in Park County, where the body was found."
[snipped for space]
"Trounce said Miller attempted suicide shortly after Meyer's disappearance because of the cloud of suspicion, and the mother is worried Miller will try again now." :stormingmad::stormingmad::stormingmad:

Looks like they are about ready to start the Press Conference! :moo:

From Presser:
Criminal investigation. Goal: Found Annie, now working towards a successful prosecution.
Remains found July 4th. Park County Coroner saw potential match to missing person report on Annie from Wheat Ridge, and made contact.
No COD/MOD yet.
No arrest imminent. Still investigating.
Roommate is a POI! She has invoked her 5th Amendment Rights against self-incrimination, so haven't spoken with her.

ETA: Live presser - question regarding roommate was hard to hear, but I'm pretty sure that's what LE said: That she is a POI.

Is this the first time we've heard about the suicide attempt? I don't recall reading that before.

If her daughter had cooperated with the police when asked, maybe there wouldn't have been a cloud...

From the Denver Channel story

"We have been investigating this for five months," said investigator Dave Pickett. "We certainly have developed leads and obviously we’re interested in Melissa Miller. She is a person of interest for us at this time."

Does that make her sleuthable?

MM is sleuthable at this time.

RIP Annie. After I started following Dylan's case, I found Annie's and that's when my eyes were really opened to the number of people who go missing in our country. I am sorry to learn that she is gone.

Interesting that LE has named MM a POI but have not arrested her yet. From reading WS these last months I had the impression that doesn't happen.

I'd be happy to go have a talk with her. Maybe she wants to meet for happy hour?

<I'm really trying hard not to let me anger get the best of me here. I'm kidding about the happy hour thing. Annie's case has hit me especially hard, I don't know why. I don't even know her. Last night I had to bust out the meditation books (I highly recommend The Mind of the Soul / Responsible Choice by Gary Zukav and Change Your Life, Change Your Thoughts / Living the Wisdom of the Tao by Dr. Wayne Dyer). Anger is such a negative emotion and I don't want it in my life. I thought it was odd how the first thing that naturally wanted to come out of my mouth "MURDERER!". That is what Elaine Redwine, Dylan's mom, supposedly yelled or mumbled to MR after Dylan's body was found. If I felt the need to yell this to MM online and I didn't even know Annie, lol, I can't even imagine the anger Elaine initially felt. Anger seems to manifest itself first in many situations.>

So, anyway, where does this biyach live? KIDDING!!!!!!!!

I follow several cases. My perception is that LE is reluctant to name/label someone a POI/Suspect as long as the person is talking. Since MM had already hired an attorney and refused to cooperate with LE, there was no reason for LE not to admit she's a POI. All IMO. :twocents:

Hopefully COD (and more) can be determined.

I'm pretty sure we already know who is to blame for her murder. Now it's just a watch and wait situation.

the wheels of justice should start turning now....
