Leo was a co-worker of mine at a warehouse in 2019. He was a nice hardworking kid. When I learned of his murder, I found it very disturbing. I hadn't worked with him in a few years and I never knew his family, but I felt like I wished I could do something for them, so I am posting this thread to help bring more awareness to this case. He had just had a new baby, his second child from what I understand and was taking in groceries from a vehicle when this occurred. I will say that I have read elsewhere they thought the vehicle was some kind of Toyota that drove by and fired at him, but the pictures look like a Subaru Ascent to me in the third link. As a side note, I have seen lots of misinformation about cars in articles in CO, when the picture of the cars are something else. Pueblo is a tough town to live in and a lot of our people have limited education and opportunities, sadly through no fault of their own. When we lose young people who are out here trying to do the right thing and be there for their children and families as they should, it's a crushing blow to the entire community. I only worked with him for about a year, but he was always helpful and willing to go above and beyond to help at times when no one else would and I always appreciated that about him. I pray for his family and may he rest in eternal peace with Jesus.
