The trial has been postponed indefinitely after she was deemed mentally incompetent to stand trial. If Eden is determined to be competent to face trial, her criminal case will resume.

Nashika Bramble, the mother of Makayla and Hannah, is also being evaluated for competency, and attorneys are waiting for the results of her examination. Bramble is facing charges of first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death, and is currently scheduled to stand trial in December.

A trial for Ceus, who is also charged with murder and child abuse resulting in death, has been delayed as well and is now scheduled for April.

Ashford Archer, another group member, is scheduled to go to trial in March.

Blair is the only member of the group to accept a plea offer with prosecutors. This spring, he accepted a plea from prosecutors who agreed to drop felony child abuse counts in exchange for a guilty plea on an accessory charge.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in May, after his co-defendants' trials are finished. Blair agreed to testify against other cult members as part of his plea deal.

Prosecutors said the bodies of two young girls found in a car in Norwood more than a year ago will be sent to a defense expert for additional testing, after the Colorado Supreme Court declined to take up an appeal.

District Judge Keri Yoder previously granted motions for the release of the children’s remains so a defense expert could conduct forensic testing.

District Attorney Dan Hotsenpiller appealed to the Colorado Supreme Court on Dec. 6, but on Dec. 7, that body declined to hear the appeal.
State supreme court denies appeal in child deaths

So more delays. Ceus and Archer have Dec. 28 motions hearing with a trial set for Archer on March 4, 2019 and Ceus' trial for April 29, 2019. A status conference is set for Bramble on Dec. 27. Ika Eden is still in the Colorado Department of Health Services in Pueblo.

Blair will cooperate with the prosecution, including possibly testifying against the others charged. His plea agreement calls for up to 12 years in prison, if the judge accepts it at his sentencing. He has a motions hearing December 28 and a status conference March 28, 2019. Sentencing is tentatively set for May 30, 2019.
