Alec Blair believed he was the incarnation of Jesus, Buddha, Adam and the Egyptian sun god Ra. He procured hallucinogenic mushrooms for Madani Ceus in Telluride. He was ordered to have sex with Nashika Bramble while she was in an advanced state of pregnancy with another man’s child.

And he took part in a religious ritual called a sealing ceremony atop Bridal Veil Falls to protect his soul from being harvested in the coming apocalypse Ceus predicted would happen during the total solar eclipse in August 2017.

These were some of the many revelations that came out of defense attorney Harvey Polefsky’s cross examination of Blair, as the second week of Bramble’s double-murder trial got underway on Monday morning at Montrose District Court.
Alec Blair takes the stand

Wow, Cory Sutherland, was the father of Bramble's baby in 2017.
Suspect’s interrogation points to mental breakdown

What pisses me off is that Bramble claimed to have been helpless to challenge Madani Ceus when she ordered the girls into the car but when it became obvious that Bramble herself was the next target, what did she do? Not so helpless then, she ran away, fearing for her own life.

So she had the willpower to overcome Ceus' influence when it came to her own well being but not her children's. IMO that is very telling on her mental state.

Thanks Niner! I have family visiting and haven't been able to check in much. I'm sorry Bramble fell under Ceus' spell but that will never excuse her from failing to protect her own children. And the fact that she understood well enough when her safety was at risk to leave the cult. To me that speaks volumes.

I’ve quietly followed this case and am surprised that there are only 11 pages of this thread :(
The slow and painful deaths those girls suffered, I’m shocked at the 24 year sentence I feel it is nowhere near enough, and their ‘mother’ escaping the death penalty when people have been executed for less has really ruffled my feathers. Makayla and Hannah, you deserved so much more and I’m sorry you were treated so terribly in your short lives. Sleep tight girls. Hopefully Karma will get them in ways the justice system can’t.

Glad to see she was found guilty, though I had no doubt.
