I just found out about this case tonight and did a bit of digging. There are almost no details on the internet so I thought I would add what I know based on a conversation I had this evening. Mark was dating my relative "M" when he disappeared. From the information I received from "M's" sister, Mark went out to conduct a drug deal of some kind, promising to return, and never came back. His car nor any of his personal possessions were found. Years later "M" saw a psychic to ask what happened to Mark and the psychic stated that he had been thrown into a canyon. I know this information is unverifiable but I just wanted to share.

Mark Allen Bonner, 24, disappeared under suspicious circumstances in 1978 while house-sitting at a residence on Neva Road, north of Boulder. Investigation at the time implicated him in drug trafficking; whether his disappearance was voluntary or involuntary has never been established.
