Burns goes to school in Fort Collins but also has not been seen there since October. According to police, Burns has a history of running away and they don't suspect suspicious circumstances surrounding the case.

LOVELAND, CO – Undated: The Loveland Police Department is searching for missing teenager Melody Burns, who was last seen in Fort Collins in Oct. 2023. Burns would now be 17 and may be going by the names Max, Forrest and Sparrow.

The Loveland Police Department is renewing its plea to the public for assistance in locating Melody Burns, a 17-year-old missing since last October, with potential sightings in Northern Colorado and the Denver area.

“Upon departure, Melody left without a cell phone, money, and identification, though a runaway note was written,” officers said in a news release.

When the child was last seen, their hair was dyed black

may travel to Fort Collins or Denver, Colorado. Melody may go by the name Moe, Max, Mel, or Forrest Burns.

Detectives have been working closely with family, friends, neighboring departments, and regional homeless shelters. Forrest is likely wearing glasses, but their hair length and color could be different than the photos shown.
