Ault Police Department
In a news release Wednesday, APD referred to the disappearance of Rebecca Anne Smith, 34, as “suspicious in nature.”
APD Chief Richard Strang said Smith’s disappearance is suspicious because her family has not been able to contact her since March, something they say is out of the ordinary. Her family has only been able to make contact with someone who will not allow them to speak with Smith, Strang said.
Strang said he was unsure whether Smith was in danger.
“That’s what we’re trying to figure out,” Strang said.
