The Larimer County Sheriff's deputy who went to the home said he heard a man yelling and, once inside, noticed Mayumi Heene had a mark on her cheek and broken blood vessels in her eye. She said it was because of a problem with her contacts.

wow....with his reaction to the balloon, faked or real, he really gave me the creeps and she does seem to be VERY submissive to him. i hope that he is not abusive, but it might explain why his kid was frickin puking on TV this morn...

When they did the countdown at the "launch" you can see on the video there is no basket attached beneath, so I dont know where that bit came from. Did the parents add that or did some reporter get confused?

Also, did the parents say they were inside the home when the balloon went up? b/c they're standing right there on the video.

I don't understand this part too. They are counting down for the launch, the balloon goes up a bit, then the dad starts screaming, "the tethers! ...the tethers!" Im just confused.

My understanding is the craft was only supposed to suspend 20 ft off the ground and not fly away.

Why didn't they just "open" the panel? LOL I wish I could see the plans for building this thing.

Just after the guy is talking about them using pitchforks and shovels to deflate the balloon. About 1/2 of way ... sorry but it's not showing any timer for me.


If tethered properly, it was supposed to float 20 feet above their house. I thought Richard said that the mom didn't tie the tethers correctly?

He claims that his children are allowed to cuss in the home but not in public... guess he doesn't consider youtube to be public???????????

This dad doesn't have a clue, he's too insecure and arrogant to look beyond his own needs and know what is good and what isn't good for children. He needs to take a long hard look at the path he's taking his children because right now all I can visualize are juvenile delinquents.

Talking about the Father's temper: While watching the Wife Swap show that was just on ABC (you can find it somewhere on YT), the producer of the show had to stop the tape when things got a bit heated in the kitchen and Richard tossed milk at the swapped Mom. (Her name just escaped my mind.Sorry)

On the subject about the Rap video: Mrs. Heene mentioned, toward the end of the show,(Wife Swap) that she would like to put together a project with her children singing next. (She had done this for the family in Fl.)

The father of this family has some real control issues. They clearly came out while watching this episode.
