The man's former best friend was on tv talking about how he thinks it is a hoax. *goes to try to find the clip*

Hi Elphaba ;} I saw the blonde neighbor lady on CNN this morning who was involved in the wife swapping show with them. She said the first thought she had was the same, that she wondered if they were involved in a hoax. xox

Call me crazy but I don't think it was a hoax and here is why;

The video taping was done by the two older brother's in on the hoax. Easily explained.

When I think about what if this had been my boy I can easily hear him say, "I did it for the show.

My boy and his friends constantly filmed themselves doing things. If he thought he was in trouble because he'd done something while filming I can hear him answer the same way as Falcon.

And remember, these kids already had a ton of TV show appearences under their belt.

Kids being kids can't you see them putting a plot together for the "show?" The show being whatever it was in their minds.

I know I am really in the minority but I don't see any red flags on this one mainly because I can picture my son and his friends trying a stunt like this.

Tricia
but he says...."you had said....(pause)........we did it for the show"........

I think you guys are being too hard on them. I heard today they said they are descendants of aliens ( alien parents). They probably just don't know any better.
LOL JBean!

While I do not think this was a hoax from what I have seen, i think these people are of another world.
That all came together for me when I heard the audio clip of the wife discussing their alien parentage. The information was revealed to them in a fast food restaurant IIRC.

"That was my first mistake," she said. "When he was first moving in, the kids were in the back of the car without a car seat. The kids were not very well supervised, Very scary."

A year later, when the family planned to move out, Cavalier said she brought a male friend with her to do a walk-through evaluation of the property because she was afraid of Richard Heene. At the time, she says, the actor threatened her and had his wife videotape the walk-through. She says the family left owing her about $6,000 in back rent and damages.

"He has anger issues," she says of the father, "and the kids are afraid of him."

She described wife Mayumi Heene as submissive to her husband -- so much so that when she tried to give her clothes to dress her up in contrast to her usual uniform of sweats, he intervened and denied the gift.

Cavalier says that the family skipped town owing money not only to her but to others, including an actor who's a mutual friend. She believes the Balloon Boy episode was a publicity stunt.

"He's a shyster," the photographer says. "I know he really loves his kids. But I think he's an opportunist."

On the subject about the Rap video: Mrs. Heene mentioned, toward the end of the show, that she would like to put together a project with her children singing next. (She had done this for the family in Fl.)

Geez, haven't we suffered enough? Mom couldn't sing her way out of a homemade weather balloon.

I continue to be happy that this boy is okay. My only information on this story has come from WS and I have not watched any of the videos or any television about the incident. I watched Wife Swap a couple of times last year and enjoyed it and thought it was very interesting.

I do want to say this. If these people are "fame 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬," we made them that way, so we deserve what we get. All of us (the participants and the creators and the watchers) have happily created a society where other people's lives are our entertainment.

It always amuses me a little when the watchers get mad at those being watched. It's not difficult to turn off a television or a computer (though I'll agree it's MUCH more fun to sling around self-righteous indignation)!

Sorry, I am not trying to be self righteous, but I don't watch reality TV -- none of them -- never did. They are lazy entertainment and have pretty much killed TV. The networks love them because they are cheap to produce, require no writers, no creativity, no actors, no sets, nothing but people acting ridiculous. And we have, indeed, created more than a few reality stars and reality star wannabes that think they are so interesting, so attractive, so hip, so desirable that everyone must want to spend all their time watching them do absolutely nothing.

I can't tell if this is some hoax or just parents acting stupid. This father is a piece of work. The fact he pulled these kids from interview to interview demonstrates what a slime he is -- and all while his youngest is ill and obvioiusly stressed out. He is suffering from a serious case of arrested development. The kids are faultless to me -- the product of this dysfunctional home.

Oh yes, they believe their parents were aliens. they came into contact with some aliens at a fast food restaurant and they told them that they were their parents. I'll look for the audio clip.

ETA: when the pod cast is posted I will link it.

Of course, with their experience on the ABC reality show "Wife Swap" (and with a classy title like that, you know it had to be an enriching experience for the boys) Mr. and Mrs. Heene know how the game is played: you offer your children up like little on-camera accessories while you get that reality spotlight focused right on you. Maybe someday there will be a specific psychological diagnoses for children emotionally harmed this way by their narcissistic parents; they can call it Jon-Kate Syndrome.
I can't help but think that during those endless interviews, with those lights glaring in his face and people shouting questions he couldn't even begin to fathom, that Falcon was wishing he was someplace else; maybe flying away from everything in a little balloon, high into the sky, where--as it turns out--he might have felt safer.

no... did you Elphaba?

I wouldn't be surprised if they have been logging lots of calls pertaining to the Heenes!

No, I feel so sorry for those kids. Was it little Falcon getting sick this morning?

  • #955
Remember, the father said it came to him after he fell in a restaurant and hit his head on the cement floor.

And yes, Falcon did become sick on tv this morning.

I thought I heard it (child welfare) in passing, on Entertainment Tonight, but I was cooking.

ET did show them saying that they are descendants of aliens... :)

Falcon got sick during the ABC interview... he went off camera and Diane Sawyer had to encourage the mother to go check on the child. During the other interview, he actually barfed in front of the camera, from my understanding... :(

I saw him throw up on his brother. I have no idea what happened I changed the channel. These parents are trash
