Yeah, odd. I wondered if the reporters got that part wrong - that the parents were in the house when the balloon went up b/c that's just blatant. Also, the blame part... I still dont understand that part of the story.

Is he blaming the wife for not tethering correctly?
It seems clear in the video that he's yelling at her. Isn't she holding the rope at the beginning?

Did the lying brother who said that he saw the younger one get in it get any blame? But later when asked, he changed the story to, " I thought I saw him go under the thing." Oh well, that's really different from being IN IT... now isn't it? Or is Falcon being "blamed" for getting in it earlier? (when he conveniently announces loudly his intent to get in) (with his face right in the camera)

Is Falcon the kid in the green shirt? I couldn't make out what he was saying.
Was he wearing the same outfit when he was found?

I think the brother was coached to say that because the parents thought that it would shield them against charges of filing a false police report. There is clearly no reason to think that balloon would hold him, so common sense would not do. It's quite a coincidence that they discovered he was missing instantly in the middle of all the balloon excitement. And I wonder what their response was when they saw that the balloon was empty. The logical response would be to assume the worst if they truly believed he was in it. Did they put on an emotional show for law enforcement?

He was voted on for this show by the viewers, so presumably the viewers and the show both love that sort of character.
Does the show do background check at all? It has been reported there were a number of 911 calls to balloon boy house. Does the show know or care about any of this?
Obviously not enough of a background check. And they choose to put this family in the running for people to vote if they wanted to SEE them again!!!

Since Richard Heene's extraordinary press conference this morning, the questions have been flooding in to his magical box of wonder. What kinds of questions does it contain? Does it perhaps contain suggestions of where Mr. Heene can put his question box?

We'll find out tonight at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET when Balloon Dad comes out to answer them -- and we'll have it for you live.

Stay tuned ...

Yes, I agree with you and I disagree with the sheriff who said that their body language, demeanor, mannerisms, and affect etc were "normal" - to me - they were far from it. Even before all the hoax talk, as you mentioned, they seemed "off" somehow imo. I know, I know; Everyone reacts differently and there is not "one" correct way to behave during and after trauma; but let's face it, there are some things that are instinctual and universal.

I didn't say that very well, but I know what I meant - heh.

And on LKL Wolf asked Falcon if he wanted to say anything. He said nothing. Wolf said, "Do you want to thank the people who looked for you?" He said nothing. Then the dad prompted him with, "Do you want to thank all the people who searched for you?" He said nothing. yikes. But I cant really blame the kid for how he was taught.... or rather not taught.

hee -- I'd love to tell him where to stick his "magical box of wonder" :) ....preferably shoving it sideways..... and then twirling on it.

(that sounds kinda dirty)

Sorry

(I'll see myself out....)

What do you think about the Dad fumbling to answer the question Wolf wanted him to translate to Falcon. He started out okay and then as it got a bit close to the hot seat for Richard he began to spit and sputter. Asking Wolf to repeat the question AGAIN. :banghead:

Isn't it about time for the infamous question box presser ?

(chortle) :)

.

Are we sure that it will even happen now that they have been taken to the station earlier today?

Report: Ex-Colleague of 'Balloon Boy' Father Says Incident Was Not An Accident

A student who says he worked with Richard Heene, the amateur scientist from Colorado whose family is being scrutinized after the high-flying balloon scare involving his 6-year-old son, claims to have proof that the incident was not an accident, according to The Business Insider.
The student, who remains anonymous, told The Business Insider that he worked with Heene in 2009 on potential reality show proposals to pitch to ABC, one of which was similar to the incident Thursday in which the boy was feared carried away in a homemade balloon -- only to be found safe back at home.

I doubt it. Assuming he was questioned about this, or the earlier abuse report, he might have asked for a lawyer. If he did, he surely would have been advised not to speak to the press anymore, since that's the source of his new problems. That's not to say that he'd have the sense to listen.

Given that the media has been camped out on his lawn, it's interesting that there has been a report of the wife leaving with two people from LE victim's advocates, but not returning. They reported when the husband returned home from questioning.

TMZ has a picture of the box. There are several questions in it, but it is well past the time he was supposed to answer them.

Maybe there won't be a presser now?

I wish I could write it for him....it would start off like this..

I am an a$$, I am so ashamed by what I have done. I have used and abused my family and everyone else. I just want to apologize from the bottom of my heart and promise I will pay back every dime to the good tax payers that cared enough about the son I used in my hoax, to search for him. Again, I am so so sorry.

I was just wanting to watch him unfold paper after paper and seeing him rip them up and throw them behind him until he found one he thought he could safely answer. lol.
