GUILTY CO - Richard & Mayumi Heene charged in Balloon Boy Hoax, Fort Collins, 2009 - #2

IMO he should get his plea bargain revoked if he's going on national television to disavow it. And then he ought to have to get a longer sentence. Will never happen, but if he thinks he's fooling anybody he's even loonier than I thought.

I think you're right but it could be in the agreement that he can't do that. It would keep me laughing for a week if it is.

"Choking back tears, Richard Heene apologized in court for the frenzy he caused when he claimed his 6-year-old son Falcon had floated away in a giant helium balloon shaped like a flying saucer."

Oh I see it wasn't a hoax it was a frenzy. Why wasn't he crying when the balloon took off? He was kicking and screaming but no tears?

I hate it when Jackasses do that!! You're not sorry about anything but being caught. If he had gotten away with it there would be no tearful apologies. Crocodile tears, that's all. :croc:

This part of the article is intriguing.

Afterward, Lane called the judge's sentence for his client "a measured response" — but said he was surprised Mayumi Heene got jail time.

"This is payback," he said of her sentence.

Isn't that kinda the point of sentences? :waitasec:

I'm confused. Does he get paid for being on Larry King? If so, I thought he could not profit off his little sceme.

Does anyone know if he's been on the Today show yet?

All quotes approximations;

The Sheriff lied! They said that before calling 911 we had contacted the media. :loser:

Myumi was asked a bunch of yes/no questions and after that interview she was literally in tears she came up to me with a Japanese/English dictionary and said she thought hoax meant exhibition. :loser:

I had to plea bargain to save my family and my wife. The threat of deportation for my wife is why. :loser:

Heffernen is a liar too. :rolleyes:

They measured the balloon and said it couldn't have carried a small child. However, when Mr. (?) was asked he said if Richard's measurements were correct then it could have carried a child. :loser:

Falcon wasn't talking about a show it was from a question a Japanese camera man asked him. :rolleyes:

I wanna know is the ACLU gonna contact me?! Maybe the FBI can investigate all of them! :loser:

Why Matt Lauer didn't call him on his horrendous acting is beyond me. I would have loved to see him challenged on that. :crazy:

Okay, I'd love to see the Sheriff and Hefferman sue is little behind.

BBM

Actually, "exhibition" is not too far off from their definition of "hoax" which is "show," as in the sentence, "You said we did it for the show." :angel:

ACLU contact him??? Why? How were his civil liberties denied?

He just doesn't give up. He is the most annoying person I've ever seen. He still thinks the world is going to believe his lies. He must lay awake all night thinking how to twist things around and around to benefit himself. JMO

I thought that was hysterical too! If any of the ACLU lawyers saw that live they probably had to scrub the orange juice off their TV screens. :spit:

Dear God!! I never thought of that before!! If this is the best he could come up with after heavy contemplating then he's dumber than I thought. :loser:

There's a good reality show pitch there. GA and RH forensic detectives. They could work on figuring out how to defeat the scientific evidence against KC. :rolleyes: :loser::loser:

I was going through the channels the other day when I saw coming up on Wife Swap the Heenes. I watched for some unknown reason. Talk about dysfunctional. The other family were safety freaks and the Heenes think you should let your kids do what they want. Both families were weird, but the Heenes won.

Throw in Tammi Smith and you've got "The 3 Stooges." :rolleyes:

BBM 'Choking back tears'. That's inaccurate reporting. What it should have read was 'Heene took deep breaths, contorted his face in obvious mock pain, halting his speech in either an effort to appear pained or a genuine inability to express a coherent thought..."

Why are legitimate news outlets dignifying his crapola by giving him a platform in which to lie? I was waiting for Larry King to say, we have 'Nancy Grace from Atlanta on line 1...' or 'stay tuned for Judge Judy who will join us on the panel...'. Someone, anyone, to take him to task for distracting us with more of his BS.

Balloon Boy Documentary In The Works[

All except for one: Steven C. Barber, a 48-year-old filmmaker who says he still believes Heene really thought his son was in the balloon as it spun wildly through the skies on Oct. 15. He plans to prove it, Barber says, when he releases the documentary "Balloon Boy: Guilty Until Proven Innocent" later this year.

Barber has known Heene for more than 10 years and says he has dozens of hours of film of the backyard inventor pursuing one science project after another. He compiled much of that footage, the filmmaker says, in an effort to help Heene land a TV reality show chronicling his science adventures.

More from the article;

Barber declined to show the footage he took after the balloon returned to earth, saying he worries that if any of it is described or Heene is quoted it will only make it harder for him while he's in jail.
