What did Roger do the weekend before he went missing? Did he travel for his ski meets? How?

Do you know if anyone has checked to see if his social security number has been used or if anyone has requested his birth certificate?


Did Roger have a nickname?

Other than skiing, what were some of his other interests?


You said he was a staight A student--was there any particular subject he was very adept in? What was he going to study at Western State College?

Has anyone ever talked to Rogers racing coach or anyone on his race team? Was it a co-ed team? Maybe he had a girlfriend there?

I am confused about the comments about Pash. Is there no way to confirm that he was teaching a class at the time that Roger went missing?

Also, I read somewhere that he was trying to get on the US Ski team, but I also read on the Roger Ellison blog of Loris that the tryouts for that were the weekend before and he had not made the team. Which is correct?

Did your mother ever get Rogers picture back from the private detective? Can you contact that detective for his research?

There is no body ever found, so of course I have hope that he is still alive, but it has been so long, I really don't know what to think anymore!
I have breast cancer and am also dealing with that, I pray every day and night that he will call me or walk up to me and give me a big hug, I miss him so much! he was my little brother 10 years younger than me, I helped to teach him to walk and also how to ski and be a world class racer.
He was a straight A student, always left a note and helped my mother and father at all times, we talked on the phone almost every night, and talked about skiing, life and school,
I hope he still alive and maybe has amnesia and still does not know who he really is, I hope he is happy and got to have a life, maybe even a family, if not then someone took all of that away from him.
The post from a 7th grader is a big , big step to proving what really happend to ROGER

Mitochondrial DNA is passed through the mother. Silver's mito DNA is in a national database, BK's is not. At least unless that has changed. (Believe wrote this in post)

See where my confusion is Silver? This is saying Benjamans DNA is not where yours is. So IF you think that Benjaman could be your brother, I just wanted to let you know that the DNA hasn't been run on the two of you... so ofcourse, there would be no match.

Thanks Zaha! I too am confused. That would be so wonderful if BK is Roger. I read it the same way as you, which makes me think that BK has not been searched against every data base. I would love to know that we have exhausted every opportunity to find out if they could be a match before we move on. Silver--did/do you have any family from OK or KS?

I am having a hard time moving on.... I can't get Roger/Benjaman out of my head :banghead: .. it's in the eyes for me...

I am not too sure where you read that someone is saying you are not Rogers sister.

I know there IS a post regarding DNA. It talks about MtDNA (maternal) and I think is was Beleive09 that said if you are Rogers sister then your MtDNA could be matched with Benjaman (because you share the same mother (MtDNA)with Roger).. you do not have the exact same DNA to Roger, only the MtDNA will match Rogers... not that you are not his sister...

You are right, this is about Roger and the more information you can share, the better it is for Roger...

Yes, if it regarding the DNA post, noone is questioning that you are Rogers sister. There are two types of DNA testing. It appears from what you posted in the past that you (or your mother) have submitted DNA, but Benjaman Kyle, since we do not have any DNA directly from his mother (Mtdna) can only have his DNA entered in a specific database. So, that means that in order for there to be a match, Roger's DNA has to be sent directly to that database (which is a paternal type DNA bank). It is not the "normal" database, so an automatic match would not be made. Believe can explain it much better than I, but the point is that if you think there is a remote possibility that Roger could be Benjaman Kyle, Roger's DNA would have to specifically sent to Benjaman Kyles DNA database. Noone is questioning you, please do not misunderstand us!

Here is more info about it: It appears that you have Rogers MtDna submitted (mitochondrial) but Benjaman ONLY has Y chromosome DNA submitted. (Move down about 1/2 way on the page on wiki) Under that is info on the databases. I am guessing that Rogers DNA is in CODIS database, but Benjaman's is in a private database through the University of Houston (see under search for identity for Benjaman Kyle):

I do not know if you check out other missing persons threads on websleuths, but there are those of us who have been here a long time and who are completely dedicated to helping the families...please do not leave, please be patient with us, we are truly trying to help you!

What I would recommend is that you contact the webmaster for the word press site--she should be able to get an IP address on that poster. Perhaps then Tricia can work with you to make sure it is NOT a websleuth person who posted that--if they did, I think it would be a violation of our terms of service.

I apologize for all the questions, I am trying to put together a file on all information about Roger, so maybe we could glean a clue. Not all the questions I asked you can be answered from the wordpress site, I have been through the site, but wanted to get direct information from you, his sister, not some other website.

Silver, that is exactly why we are telling you it is your MtDNA that will be the same MtDNA as Rogers (because you are his sister)

Now, as for Benjaman, well he doesn't have his MtDNA submitted (that I now of) .. so what we were staying is IF you think there is is slight possibility that Benajaman may be Roger.. there would be a different process to testing (it will not be just ran automatically) as you have provided MtDNA ( because you are Rogers sister) BUT Benjaman has not given his MtDNA sample...

As for the helpfindroger site, I also think Pash has been in there under the name JFC - the first posted comment.
