I went back to the very first comment on that blog. Wow, this was exactly my theory the very first time I read Roger's doenetwork page. It is the first comment on the findrogerellison blog.

Sounds to me like P was a perv.
Maybe having sex with a few of the wrestlers.
Roger included.
Sounds to me like they had a thing for a few months, hence the late night homework. you scratch my back,I’ll scratch yours. Something went wrong or Roger finially said no more.I like girls. And he was going to expose it all.
Other wrestlers know. But would have to admit they had sex too.So aint no one talking.Your right someone knows..

Now, no where in the blog post does it say anything about Roger being on a wrestling team. How would the author of the comment know he was? Hmmm.

Anybody want to see if there were any dissapearances in the area years prior? Silver, do you know anything about the witnesses who claimed he was talking to two men?

If you look at Rogers site at wwwfindrogerellison.wordpress.com.the latest reply is that I am trying to claim that I am Rogers sister, why would I do that, I am Rogers sister maybe its Pash, would't put it past him

Ah yes, the curious JPash, who seems to think he is smarter than everyone else. He has an agenda, to be sure, silver1sb. Don't let him get to you.

I've been looking for remains found in neighboring states today and have found a few possibilities. I found an alarming number of UID's in Maricopa County, AZ - mostly skulls. It seems there is a popular border crossing area in that county, but it freaked me out how many skulls were found! However, northern Arizona and New Mexico would seem the most likely places to bury someone a murderer from Cedaredge, CO would have taken someone they didn't want found.

I know the POI claims to have been traveling the weekend after Roger went missing, but I don't believe we've had an independent confirmation of that.

Fairy can you post the links to the UIDs?

Utah would be a good place to look as well. The Utah border is not too far from that area. I will have to find it, but I thought I remembered a UID that was found in a cave in CO. It may have been found before Roger went missing though---I will have to see if I can find it!

Glenwood Springs is two hours north. I wonder where he was going to be skiing that coming weekend? Any chance he decided to go practice during the school day, got a ride from someone and was caught in an avalanche or something? (I know that sounds far fetched, but who knows?) It appears that there was a ski area on Red Mountain according to this mountain biking review:

http://www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail.aspx?trailid=BGR053-034

If this is not Roger, I am wondering if this is a mountain biker.

The age is off from Roger, but since it was only a skull found, perhaps they are off on the age?

As far as Pash, I really do not know what to think, but although he has been accused, and his conduct here has been arrogant and not very nice, I would think it should be fairly easy to eliminate him as a suspect. He was either in school with classrooms full of kids or he was not. As simple as that. If he were in school, he would have precious little time to kill Roger and get back to class. His wife probably was home so would have witnessed something or seen Roger's body, and since they are divorced, she has no reason to protect Pash. If he wanted to kill Roger, he had other more convenient opportunities to do so, if in fact the rumors about the get togethers at Pash's house are true. Accusations can be made all day long, but if the facts are available that he was in school, he should be eliminated as a suspect. So then we look at other people. Roger's locker mate? A janitor? It seems from reading historic newspaper articles that some townspeople think he ran off? Why do they think that? What basis for that rumor do they have? Did anyone else in that area go missing about the same time?
Jules, that second UID looks a lot like him!

Has Roger's ski coach ever been considered a suspect? They spent alot of time together. I would think that if the police think that this is a criminal case, they would have to eliminate people, and am wondering if Roger's coach was eliminated?

I will chime in here, I don't think any of those are him. The ages are way off, I just think it's a stretch but that's just my opinion-I am very blunt in that regard. ;)

Missing young men in CO around that time period:
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/362dmco.html 1981, Boulder
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/3345dmco.html 1981, CO Springs
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/42dmco.html 1984, Hinsdale County

Missing young women in CO around that time period:
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/2637dfco.html 1982, CO Springs
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1417dfco.html 1983, Englewood
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/69dfco.html 1983, Idaho Springs
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/89dfco.html 1984, Denver

Could be a serial killer operating in the area?

Do you mean a serial killer in relation to Roger's case?

I suppose if the sighting of Roger hitchhiking out of town was an accurate one, he might have been grabbed by someone. I guess the big mystery is whether or not he left his town....there has to be a reason why there is a perception that he is buried somewhere close to where he was last seen....

Has this guy ever been looked at? The height is off, but could be because of decomp?

http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1282umco.html

I know Roger is listed as having blond hair, but it looks red to me.

Or this person?

http://doenetwork.org/cases/614umco.html

Here is the guy I mentioned above--too old:

My bold and italics. I think the age assumption on the doe is based on ossification and fusing. I have been reading a book by a forensic investigator who went into great lengths about this, but you all are probably familiar with the concept. Here is a great link for the short course on bone aging!!! ***Warning-Photos of skulls***

Lol, thanks for the warning about the skull Believe ;) but they aren't as creepy looking as post mortems. They just remind me of Halloween. Post mortems on the other hand... Accidently saw a couple last week while searching different threads, atleast they weren't too gruesome.

I guess Julessleuther is right, Pash would be easy to eliminate as a witness. If he was in class then he couldn't have really killed Roger. If Roger did leave on his own or was talking to two men (there was a witness account) then it's possible that he fell prey to a serial killer. Several young men and women vanished in Colorado in the time period, I haven't checked the neighboring states. I would have to do a google map as I'm in Canada and can't remember what states are next door!

ETA:
Did a google map, out of curiosity I looked at Wyoming missing young men which is a state over to the North. Here is an interesting case from there, a handsome young man dissapeared in 85 after talking to a man on a motorcycle:

http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1325dmwy.html

This is another one of those far out there theories that borders on wild speculation, but what about a traveling motorcycle serial killer who rides through the country? Hmmm, I have a wild imagination don't I?

Fascinating about the bones Believe, thank you!

Ok, I hear what you guys are saying, but why did he leave school? Why even go in if he was going to leave again? He told his locker mate he would be right behind him. What prevented him from going? That is the key. I feel if he intentionally left school, then he intentionally COULD have left the area as well. Who were the two men? Was it about skiing? Was he supposed to go someplace later that day, but someone came earlier for him? Someone has to know more than they are saying.

  • #336
In class and preparing for a class are two different things. I believe Pash described himself as preparing for a class which may mean he had first period free.

  • #337
Justthinkin, thank you for that info! Did he describe himself as preparing for a class in the post here at WS? Hmmm. Interesting, if Pash did do it then I stick with the theory I had earlier.

  • #338
Danya, yes, it caught my eye as soon as I read it.

  • #339
Justthinkin, you have a good eye! Here is what he wrote:

2] the alleged report that Roger was seen talking to 2 unidentified men the morning he disappeared. Was it inside the school building? Was it outside on school grounds? Was it some place else off school grounds? What time did this occur? Either way, the report that the men were unidentified would lead one to realize that these men were unknown to whoever made that report. Had I been one of those individuals, wouldn’t it be obvious that I would have been identified? However, I was in my classroom preparing to teach that day.

So Julessleuther, this means nobody could prove nor disprove his where abouts.

As the old theory goes, it's not what you say, it's how it was said. I recommend everybody take a look back and read all of the posts for Roger, which is the reason for this thread. I truly believe answers are coming soon.
