Boulder native Scott Kimball entered a plea of guilty Thursday afternoon in Boulder District Court to two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of four people, all of whom went missing for years.
He was sentenced to 70 years in prison, putting closure on a case that began with Kimball's release from prison seven years ago to act as an FBI informant in a drug case.
Prosecutors believe Kimball, 43, killed his victims in 2003 and 2004.
Kimball, who was brought into court in a wheelchair wearing a solid red Boulder County Jail uniform, answered Boulder District Judge James Klein's questions clearly and calmly. He declined to make a statement during the hearing.
As part of a plea deal he worked out with prosecutors, Kimball agreed to show authorities where he stashed the remains of his victims in exchange for a charge less severe than first-degree murder.
Kimball led investigators earlier this year to the bodies of 24-year-old Emry -- hidden in a Utah canyon -- and his 60-year-old uncle, Terry Kimball -- deposited near Vail Pass.

Add that to the 40 he's already serving and he could be out in only 110 years. Bless the families, and may the remains of Jennifer Marcum be found so this family can have closure.
