Found Deceased CO - Sebastian Castro Rivas, 3, Eagle, 5 June 2020

What time did they leave for the walk?

Costco appears to be quite a walk from the apartment. An hour and a half walking distance - one way. Along US-6.

Guessing that’s not a busy road.

On the return, the liquor store then Red Canyon Cafe. I would think you would stop by those places on your return home.
Sounds like Primavera Liquor was the destination?

And they didn’t go to the apartment to drop off what they bought but went to the playground?

How about camera footage from any of those places?
You might be right MimosaMornings, seems the only place they stopped at was the liquor store.

Additionally, I don't think they went to Costco at all. So I think the boy went or fell in the water behind the apartment building he lives in. The phone he was carrying was found in the water near the path behind the apartment. The article of clothing (sneaker or shoe) was found in the river east of his apartment building which by the way just coincidentally happens to be in the same direction as the Costco store, the Red Canyon Cafe and Primavera Liquors. Did liquor play a part in the misinformation ? Who knows.

I think the sneaker at Costco is supposed to be at Costa. Costa means coast in Spanish, so it appears the sneaker was found in the river (costa).
No, I speak Spanish and am a Spanish/English Translator. I re-listened to the video and he clearly said Costco. He does not say it was located AT Costco. He said it was at Costco distance from the apartments.
Anyway, I googled ‘Sebastian Rivas Castro shoe and phone found’ and found confirmations that the red shoe was found downstream near were the Costco is.

The father never said they went to Costco you are misreading my posts and derailing the thread.

I never posted they went to Costco. The father said the shoe was found downstream by the Costco. The mom walked by Red Canyon Cafe to go to Primavera Liquors then back to Eagle Villas and to the Playground.

It was not my intention to derail your thread. I was trying to determine what the facts were. I found some information to be confusing and another person on this thread said they were confused too.

The word Costco has been used several times; to my knowledge that is a store. Isn't the Spanish word for coast costa ?

It's actually pronounced kos' ta.

Yes, I know how it’s pronounced. Coast in Spanish is costa but he never said costa. He said Costco very loud and clearly.

Wonder if the nephew was younger also?
Lived in the same complex perhaps.

Makes you wonder if this nephew could be the cousin we’ve been hearing about. Although, the Dad did say there are ‘cousins’ in the family.

I wondered the same thing MimosaMornings, how old was the nephew. What time did the nephew find the phone; I think it was found on Sunday.

Good thought Janeumaŷer. I had only read initially that the mom, Sebastion, and cousin walked where they did. I didn't read the nephew found the phone until later.

Dad said it was found by nephew on Sunday between 3 and 4pm. It’s just hinky. I feel bad saying that. Hopefully, there’s evidence it was water-damaged but what if the nephew had it all along? What if he found it somewhere else?

You mean the phone was found at the bottom of the path on Sunday afternoon and no one checked the path before then. I am shocked by that.

It's been 13 days since Sebastion disappeared. Prayers and kind thoughts go out to parents. I can't imagine how heavy their hearts are.

Supposedly they checked everywhere. I remember the dad saying he looked down the path at night with his flashlight. Don’t know if he looked the next day though. Maybe LE went with their dogs? The dad said he thought it was planted there on Sunday because of the fact everyone was looking for Sebastian and anything belonging to him. He said it would have been impossible anyone would have missed the phone. Unless, the phone was just in the water’s edge and somehow didn’t get washed downstream? I don’t know as we don’t have any more information.

Can anyone verify Sebastian's legal name? I see msm articles using both Sebastian Castro Rivas and Sebastian Rodriguez Castro. The online fundraiser uses the second one. I keep worrying I'm missing news because of the two names and have to Google both to check. TIA!

The dad tried to correct them. His real name is Sebastian Rodriguez Castro. SMH

That's interesting to hear that the dad looked down the path at night and didn't find anything. Makes me wonder where did Sebastion enter the water ? Somewhere else perhaps. Another twist in the story.
