If they were wayyyyy in debt and about to lose it all, based on everythung we know about her online it would appear she was in denial. IMO
Denial of what? Do you have personal knowledge of who did their budgeting and bill paying? Did they have separate or joint bank accounts?

I don't think you are trying to bash her, BUT, honestly would LOVE to have someone care that much. To have that many weeks worth of meals ready. Especially after working all day. WOW! That took a lot of effort and time. Shanann must've really cared about him.
I think so, too. There’s no doubt in my mind about that. She wanted the best for all of them and tried her best, but sometimes in caring for people you might do things for them that they don’t necessarily want.

Am I remembering correctly that the neighbors heard shouting or arguing of some sort?

Can you see how all her caring could have made Chris feel really bad about himself?

She needed a good reason for police to go to the house other and she isn’t answering the phone. Is it possible she fibbed about SW
passing out and dr appointment to make it seem more urgent?

The friend didn't 'need' a good reason, she 'had' a good reason.

There's a difference.

So will CW remain in isolation all this time, until the trial and sentencing?? Or until the next court date?

How is Shanann the one living in denial or in the middle of fantasy and reality when they were both being sued? You keep saying that you're not bashing her, but it sure sounds like it to me.
If people are way over their heads in debt, it is usually the fault of both, yet when the woman is pregnant and also is the main caretaker for the 2 toddlers, I'd think it would be up to the hubby to step in for awhile with a second job instead of saying that SHE should work harder.

Well I’m sure glad she did make that exaggerated effort. Agreed, bluesneakers. Turns out her safety concerns were legitimate to put it mildly.

Not sure what the point is of anyone questioning this lol.

They question it because they think it’s ridiculous that NU-A got involved. I honestly think they are upset that she spoiled this for C.W.

Yes, and when you watch all three of them back-to-back, it's even more obvious that he has practiced his story tale. I have been meaning to watch his prepared speech (the one for the communications course) again and compare it to these.
Interesting idea, comparing the two. I’d like to see that comparison.

I haven’t seen it verified that she said that other that the friends word.

SW's friend posted in here last night that what SW posted on her social media sites was how SW was. Her friend stated that SW lit up a room when she walked in and she was loved. She stated that SW and CW had the kind of loving relationship that people were jealous of. I believe her friend. I believe SW was trying to live her best life, she loved her husband and her girls. I believe CW did too until something terrible and evil occurred within CW. I think we are still seeing evil is within him...that nonemotional coldness...so blank...it is like he is in a different existence.

He might have interpreted to mean she didn't believe he could take care of himself, but no one can make you feel a certain way.

What are you insinuating about NU? Why would she make that up to get a police response?

And they didn't respond urgently. They sent out 1 car like a standard welfare check, patiently waited at the door to contact CW and asked for the garage code. He said it doesn't work, so they sat outside until he got home to do a quick walk through and make sure she wasn't passed out in the home with 2 babies.

It was only after they made entry that everyone could see the bizarre and suspicious circumstances.

And even then, nothing significant happened until the next morning when Shanann didn’t return home.

Especially when she had a chronic illness.

Does anyone know if a trial like the one CW is likely to face requires a unanimous jury decision to convict/not convict? I've learned not to say "acquit", I don't think the jury does that, either convicts or not. But does it have to be unanimous?
Yes unanimous with Guilty or Not Guilty. If it's not unanimous then it's declared a mistrial. The DA will then decide whether to retry the case (which 99% of the time they usually do) or they reach a plea agreement.

I know his attorneys requested protective custody for him. The judge asked for them to put it in writing and asked if they believed it was urgent. The attorney said they believe so.

The look on SW's fathers face during that conversation :( I dont know how someone can take so much pain.

Moo

I could be wrong, but I think her choice of employment, and what she thought it would bring her was fantasyland. She needed a more stable job with a better future is what I’m trying to say. And I know she was pregnant, so she couldn’t at that time, I’m talking long term future had she not been murdered.
Well, there are a lot of women who prefer that type of career in order to stay home with their children. If her career choice was an issue for CW and he loved her and wanted their marriage to work, why not work on it instead of annihilating his family? And as far as long term, "had she not been murdered," would her lupus and fibromyalgia have gone away after giving birth to Nico?

OT: I'm constantly misreading/mispronouncing your username as "Albuterol."

Back to the dogs, someone several pages back said Chris asked if he needed to sign anything. I bet he knew right there that they had probable cause and didn't need his signature. It would be funny if they put a search and rescue jacket on a cadaver dog to throw him off. Or did they come with dogs on different days?

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a whole new generation of American males who seem to be/act more entitled than ever before?

Because the jerk I had to deal with at work (the one who lied about being married, and decided to lose his wedding ring on Day 2 on the job) is of the same age as Chris Watts.

Just wondering.

Shannan was trying her best to improve their finances, imo.

I agree. I don't understand the victim-blaming.

Shanann Watts ‘beat all the odds’ to have her children, brother says
Shanann Watts’ brother, Frankie Rzucek, wrote on Facebook Friday that his sister, who he looked up to, was the “hardest working person (he’s) ever known.” In an extensive post describing his only sibling, he revealed that she had lupus, an autoimmune disease that causes a person’s body to attack its own organs.
