They live in NC right? Something tells me they have money and we’re going to help Shanann get out of her marriage. She had people to help. He didn’t. IMO
Yes they do. As for financials I have no clue and can't speculate.

As if they aren't going through enough imagine how they're feeling right now knowing SW, BW, CW, were just with them. I bet they'd give anything to not put them on that plane home.

I'm heartbroken for them.

Also, is there any proof that she even had a doctor appointment other than the friend telling police? Has it been verified that she had a Dr appointment?
who cares. irrelevant at this point.

I’m not saying La-Vel deserves blame. At least not yet. I don’t know what their status is with the FDA. I don’t know what’s in Thrive? It seems to me though it is delivering a substance into the body. And it stimulates. Maybe Nicotine? If there is anything in it that’s addictive that would compell you to have to take it everyday. Then, that would compound things even more.

It happened years ago. I lost a friend to ephedra. He just up and had a pulmonary embolism one day. He said it gave him the energy to work out, lose weight, improve his life. But ephedra wasn’t being sold as a lifestyle, just as a root at the health food stores to make tea. No MLM.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your friend. :( {Hugs}

CW admitted to killing Shanann, and maybe I am just thick-headed, but I just can't see how that makes La-Vel/Thrive culpable.

She needed a good reason for police to go to the house other and she isn’t answering the phone. Is it possible she fibbed about SW
passing out and dr appointment to make it seem more urgent?
Anything is possible. Irrelevant at this point.

I hope there was at least one person she confided in that can clue LE in to family history.

His mugshot is haunting, and shows his true colors imo. Certainly no grief or remorse there.

Moo

I'm thinking that person may be her Mom, she is on the witness list.

I just thinks it’s possible she didn’t have a good reason to call police so she made some up. IMO it just seems like Ahhh SW didn’t check in on me this morning, I need to talk Thrive, she’s not answering! I need to get the cops involved or sales are going to drop! IMO
Anything is possible. Thank god she made the call to LE and thank god LE took her seriously and thank god LE responded. Excellent work by all.

I can't speak to everyone, but I see a good case against Thrive and their pyramid scheme. One of the top indicators of a family annihilator is a financial crisis. I think those who feel Thrive has some culpability are the guesses here that Shannon was spinning her wheels on a "Get Rich Quick" scheme instead of helping the finances with a traditional job. Therefore their descent into Thrive fueled CW's need to wipe out a family and start over, so to speak. Also, the chemicals in the patch....did they make the situation escalate? At least that is how I am reading it. YMMV

I hope that proof comes out that she wasn’t just fibbing to get police in that house! ImO
If she was fibbing to get the police in the house, what is the worse thing that could happen?

I believe SW was supposed to be home around 10pm?
I think they were dead by then. He must have been livid when her flight was delayed.

Moo

Yeah, I think her flight screwed things up. And I agree that they must have been dead when she got home or else why wouldn't he have waited until the next night when he had more time?

I've always said that if someone killed my kids then, by God, they'd better kill me too. To an extent, I still feel that way. With one gone I would have enough adrenaline left to stay and fight for the other (I know this becausethe ONLY thing that kept me going in the past was my surviving son) but with both gone...

I think the girls were killed first, probably in their sleep in the dark. Unfortunately, I think SW knew this. Then, not only would CW have had the element of suprise on his side when he attacked her, but if he did it right away she could have been in a frozen state of fear and shock. I'm totally projecting here, but my own experience is all I have to draw from. When you approach a child you're expecting to find alive and, instead, you find them deceased, there can be this momentary reality split where you're kind of frozen. My whole house could have fallen down around me and I wouldn't have known or cared.

At any rate, I think that may have partly accounted for the lack of visual signs of struggle from either the girls or SW: he killed them when they were sleeping so that he didn't have to see their faces and he killed her when she was emotionally vulnerable and maybe in shock.

I don't believe Thrive is a pyramid scheme. CW IS a loser as a man, husband, father, human being. JMO
As a promoter myself, it's not a scheme and it does bring in money. I was nowhere near Shan's level but was making enough to put my kids in in extracurricular activities and things I couldn't do before.

I can’t move past that it wasn’t her place to get involved.
Yet many of us tend to get involved.....to do good..... where it is not our place.

Haven’t seen this mentioned except at CrimeOnline (Neighbor says Chris Watts “cared more about the dog” than pregnant wife and 2 toddlers he allegedly killed)

I’m not sure if it’s considered MSM, so if not, please remove!

““It was like he was being punished or hurt or something,” the neighbor said. He was just howling. Because we had a dog, I said, ‘What the hell is that all about? So we called the police and asked them to check on the dog. And it turned out that he was OK. They did a wellness check on the dog.””

Does that mean that police were called to the Watts home on two separate occasions that day?

Theory: Maybe if the dog wellness call happened first. Then when NU/A called for ANOTHER wellness check for a pregnant woman and kids to the same address, police knew there was something really wrong.

Thoughts? It’s the only place I’ve seen this reported, so who knows...

Poor dog. I’d like to know about CW’s demeanor and appearance when the cops showed up to check on the dog.

The negative comments about Thrive are being mentioned as a possible issue in their marriage and maybe contributing to motive. I don't think it's being suggested that SW or Level is responsible for her death.

DAdvocate,
Apparently you do not the capacity for empathy.
Or you have never had a real friendship where that type of relationship exists.
Or you do not know what NUA knew of the Watts marital situation.
Or you choose not to move past because it does not fit your agenda.
Eventually, we will all know what NUA knew and when. In fact, there are probably more worms to come out of the woodwork. But you probably think those worms need to stay in that wood.

And they just pd their taxes ! Almost $3000 in June so I think the HOA fines are something they were charged a fine for and protesting . IMO Login
IMO if you look throughout that neighborhood, there are probably others in the same battle with the HOA.

I haven’t seen it verified that she said that other that the friends word.
The friend's word carries more veracity than the killer's.

I have never understood the logic of a person having an affair and then killing their spouse.

Like the AP isn't going to find out that they were married/are a suspect/are a murderer.
They can't really believe they are are going to be able to stay in the affair while their murdered spouse is missing.
How do they see this as a bridge to a new life, it baffles me.

I know we see this time and time again but it still seems like such a weird motive.

As a divorce attorney I can tell you that it is grueling for many people. And devastating financially. They lose half their income and assets and some while paying support.

He may have consulted an attorney and determined the ramifications of divorce.

I just don't understand how the hell any of this is easier than that! Even if he wasn't charged!!
