Another thought that may have to do with financial stress. If SW was paid without taxes taken out she would likely have a big tax bill come IRS day. I wonder if they owed the IRS too? Not saying this is the case, but possible IMO.

*i don’t believe this is questioning her job, just whether IRS came out or not”
Everyday working people do the same thing. They claim 9 dependents on their W4 to avoid taxes being taken out of their check. And then they only claim 1 dependent come tax time and get hit with a big bill.

But some 1099 folks either put the tax money on the side. Or they do their best to claim everything as a business expense with the hopes of not owing that much.

I would like to point out that he was not wearing his wedding ring in the pregnancy announcement video on Facebook.
True CW isn't wearing his wedding ring in video.
CW is wearing the purple lupus bracelet though.
BUT CW IS WEARING STEEL TOED CONSTRUCTION WORK BOOTS SO HE LIKELY IS JUST RETURNING HOME FROM WORK SO MAYBE AS SUGGESTED HE DOESN'T WEAR THE RING TO WORK.
Sure hope LE has those construction work boots in their evidence locker.

Excuse me if this question has been asked and I missed it -
Were the baby monitors accessible by an app? Is it possible SW could have checked the house while she was away and could have possibly witnessed another women in her home? Not that it makes any difference, but I've just been wondering about this.

I know with our baby monitor we can only access it from our secured wifi. But there may be one that can be accessed from a different way. The pictures i have seen on SM it had summer across the front of the video monitor. I am assuming that is summer infant brand?

I have a bunch of inked-up friends and they often post tattoos like this to mock them. Me, personally, get whatever you want on your body. It's your body, not mine. I can't ever decide on what I want, so all I have is a dog paw print on one of my arms. lol
Okay, I love the paw print idea! Awww.
I have a few, all meaningful, mostly feminine and all can be covered up if needed (I.e. client presentations, etc). Three are smaller than a quarter lol.

I believe you're mistaken because I made absolutely no allegations against anyone. Nor have I "steadfastly ignored" a single shred of "actual" evidence (which is only that which is being reported by MSM).

First of all, not you. I thought you were using the pronoun "I" more generally. As an example. I actually was not aware you yourself believe an alternate theory.

Second, your post scolds people for writing off a theory in a closed-minded manner. And that is false. People have been quite systematic in analyzing the evidence. Of which there is a ton - what's in the affidavit, what we heard and saw from CW and witnesses and what we know did not occur.

Curious what the same necklace CW is wearing in all these pictures is/means. Just a few pics I found on line but I am sure there are more.
CW isn't wearing the necklace in any of his interviews after they went missing. Wonder if SW tore it off his neck? Makes me wonder about that in conjunction with the purple lupus bracelet and wedding ring that he was no longer wearing after they went missing too.

Good catch- he did seem to have a scratch on hos neck in interviews

Edit to say it appears to many to be a scratch but it is not proven yet.

I just went into the media thread and found an interview that I saw in the early days but hadn't seen this particular one/or this part of it repeated since. And I wrote out some hand-written transcript of the part of it I was particularly interested in.

The interviewer says he wants to ask something about the children. Here's a little snippet of the reply CW gave.

"Just ..like.. last night like, during like, I ..... when they usually/normally eat dinner, it was like I miss them, like, I mean I miss telling them "hey, you gotta eat or you're not gonna get your dessert" you know, just like "not gonna get your snack after".

I wondered that too. Ashleigh Banfield said on HLN their home in NC was in Shanann's name only. "...it turns out back in 2009, this whole family picked up and packed up in a hurry. They sold a house in Belmont, North Carolina that was in Shanann`s name, and apparently took off leaving just about all the furniture behind. This is from the Denver Post."
Makes you wonder if a previous extra marital affair made them pack up and start anew.

Hella long post warning ;) First going to say what I think needs to happen
Both families speak to CW, in person, letter, etc. and tell him he needs to tell the truth. He will release all to move through their grief if they know. Only he knows. He, especially those who already love him, find that some will in time come to forgive him, no matter what he did. The first step is the truth.
Second: defense: you must know that his nonsense is not at all 'reasonable' story makes him out to be more of a monster than most people already thought!!
OK....so, I'm going to post what I find to be a plausible scenario.... CW says he had to kill SW because she killed their children.
A little bit of truth except backwards: he HAD to kill SW because HE killed their children.
First: I think it's possible deleting FB account was because his AP was threatening to 'out' the relationship....because he was stalling.
(total speculation, if not PC here, delete)
We know however that he had upwards to 5-6 weeks of bachelorhood...we KNOW he had acquired a mistress
So.....SW back in town couple of days.....goes off on Thrive mission....a 3 year old and a 4 year old, after weeks of no 'dad' duties....on his hands alone...with all the stress already going on.......
& add to this he is supposed to take them to some birthday party! Imagine that, figure SW probably had that duty & dads were scarce figuring they found more important things to do on a Sunday...so there he is toddler hell & moms & etc. (btw: using his pov for this, not saying i agree with speculation on how he saw things...)
then back home alone with two toddlers ramped up on all the drama & excitement not to mention sugar highs......
so......(this is TOTAL speculation.....)...this scenario is to, well to normal people 'explain' things (it never will)..so, point being: where in house, if an adult loses their temper is fatal damage likely to be done: bathroom...all that tile, porclein hard surfaces.....
so...he's drawn the bath...one daughter in...the other resisting...doesn't want to, they've been peevish and bratty and whiny and ramped up and wanted all those presents etc. (totally speculating in cw pov, - not advocating it at all, okay?)...anyway...he pushes her to get in the bath...she falls....she's unconscious underwater, blood is spreading....other daughter screeching her head off.....he.....just 'snaps'.....i dont want to go more into detail
And maybe it wasn't in the bath - for his 'benefit' simply most reasonble place for an accidental death to my mind
He could have snapped at any point......
then.....given his own obvious to us now mental/emotional issues and stresses - he kills SW, and wants to just move on. That's why it's all got to 'stop' to his mind....he just wants to move on now....

*sigh* I have a tramp stamp. As someone who is hopelessly uncool, I never knew they were called such a thing until after I got one. Now I am totally embarassed to let people see it, ha ha. It means nothing. My husband and I both got tattoos on our first date (which is weird considering how nerdy and boring we both are) and I literally chose it because it was "pretty."

Aww! I bet you're a lot cooler than me!!!

She was married before so this was more likely to be the home she shared with her 1st husband. Total guess though others know more on this subject than me.

This case is sad enough but it's even sadder because I can see it's going to be another Jodi Arias blame the victim case. That poor woman's reputation is going to be dragged through the mud. I find it sickening and I'm not sure I will even be able to follow this case.

Gitana1,

You obviously know what you're talking about! Do you happen to know if his defense team is attempting to utilize a mental illness defense?

No. But let me say that many people here saw signs that the defense was going to blame the murders of the kids on SW due to the defense motions for DNA analysis of their necks and her hands and I felt those were quite standard and didn't remotely suggest HE had made such a nasty allegation.

So I can't say I'm the best at gauging what they're going for.

That being said, he certainly appears to be going for some sort of diminished capacity. And they are trying to avoid culpability for the girls (which is automatically first degree murder, regardless of premeditation) and bump the killing of SW from first to at least second, which in CO would be a heat of passion killing.

If they could do that they will have won.

If they are going to go for an insanity defense I feel certain they will lose. The way he was acting before (people reported normally at the barbecue that weekend) and directly after belies any kind of legal insanity.

In all reality, I don't see how he could successfully pin this one on SW. While there are all kinds of off the wall defenses that could be attempted, there isn't a single one that I have been able to run through my squirrel brain that would lead to a positive result for him. And in my very humble opinion, I don't particularly feel he should walk away from this one either.

It just looks like the typical male version of the "tramp stamp". Probably not much significance to it at all.

This made me laugh. I actually have a tramp stamp that I regret getting when I was 18 when they were popular. I can laugh about it now, lol.

I wholeheartedly agree with your summation. There just doesn't appear to be an effective mental health defense to this crime. Or at least not one that I'm seeing. I would love to do an assessment on him just so I could be nosy, not to be able to assist in his defense. Best part of being private is getting to pick your poison. LOL

I just can’t wrap my mind around CW believing that his mistress is going to go “oh your family disappeared? Come live happily ever after with me!” I can’t believe he would think that.

Scott Peterson thought he was going to run away with Amber Frye even with Laci's disappearance being all over the news. It's amazing what people can convince themselves of.

I'm not an expert and have never been in that situation, thankfully. To me he acted very natural with the children, not forced for the cameras.

That's just it. Mimicry isn't forced. It can look like natural behavior. (imo)
