I totally agree. My point was that on the internet rumor mill, a bag of pistachios on a shelf became an open dish of nuts on a table.

Things get distorted in subtle ways on these forums...
That is not much different to me.

Did you read about people who commit murders when they sleepwalk? It has happened!
Homicidal sleepwalking - Wikipedia

I would quite say that's its a stretch to tell someones state from a video as that's what many are doing with the CW interview video, including drs hired by media.

The Homicidal sleepwalking offered up yesterday was a stretch considering CW or his defence team haven't even mentioned it.

It's pretty easy to determine CW was lying by what we know now, he's been arrested and charged, confessed and revealed where he disposed the bodies! There's lots to work with thanks to his love of attention.
We can dissect his choice of words, his candid manner and smiles, his jovial mood which conflicts with the lip smacking and the rocking motion. He genuinely thought he could convince SW's and his own family, LE and the world nothing was amiss. SW was off on an adventure with the little ones and all's well, 'nothing to see here folks!' It's chilling to watch because he's murdered, disposed of his family and carries on like normal, where's the wild assumptions?

If one believes CW's claims, I suppose it's inevitable to read anything and everything in SW's appearance in her videos/pics, she's not here to defend herself, but a good prosecution team will make sure she's well represented at the trial.

It's only natural to want to defend SW. She's innocent until proven guilty while CW is guilty without a doubt, it's just the technicalities to go through to determine if he'll be found guilty on all charges.

Hmm. I mean I'm seeing that it's favored but not that it's guaranteed:

Criteria for Determining Living Arrangements
Parenting time is the actual time the parent is physically with the child. As mentioned above, this may not be divided equally.
Another criteria that is very important is each parent’s previous pattern of involvement with the child. An active parent who has long been the primary caregiver is more likely to receive majority parenting time. Parental conduct is also a factor as are support systems such as grandparents.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.denverfamilylawmatters.com/blog/joint-child-custody-colorado?hs_amp=true

I see link after link of CO family law firms discussing primary parent and the best interest standard and how equal parenting time is not standard.

Top 10 Child Custody Mistakes in Colorado | Tolison & Williams, LLC

If it was typically or automatically 50/50 why would so many law firms be making statements like this?

And why would this article (posted today it appears) , be discussing the push for a bill that would make it easier for parents to get equal parenting time in CO?

"On the one hand, Colorado Senate Bill 15-129 — the 50/50 parenting bill — would recognize parental rights as fundamental rights, and it would allow parents to have equal chance for custody in a divorce."
Child Custody Could Have More Chance of a '50/50' Split If Bill Passes in Colorado - In Denver Times

There is nothing in the law that I've found in CO that states equal parenting time is automatic there. Or even typical. Just that having a child spend as much time with both parents is favored. It sounds like it comes down to best interest of the child standard as in most states in the US.

Otherwise, you are saying that if a couple has toddlers or even babies and one parent was a stay at home parent and has more availability to care for the kids, the other parent will get equal time and shove the babies in daycare. Even though one parent is available to care for them while the other is not.

I don't practice in CO but it doesn't seem to me at all that he was guaranteed an equal time share.

I think there are conditions in Colorado for do-it-yourself divorce, so to speak. If you are in agreement on everything, like custody and visitation and the child support formula, then you can file the paperwork yourself without getting a lawyer.

The Siri on my ipad pops on once in awhile chiming in on my conversations at home too. Not all the time, but occasionally, and it's unsettling.
Siri interupted UK's Defense Minister when he was talking in Parliament about ISIS in Syria.

It is possible that one or more devices captured the murders at the Watts' house - Ring doorbell, baby monitors, cell phones , Amazon Echo (Alexa) and/or smart TVs.

After reading about the video on Shannan’s Facebook where she appears according to some posters “anxious, depressed, unstable etc.” I had to check it out for myself. It is my opinion that both Shanann and CeCe had colds. CeCe’s nose is running and Shanann wipes her own nose as well. She says it’s 8:30 am on a Saturday. She appears to me to look very tired, I’m guessing she hadn’t slept well the night before.

I am SO CURIOUS about their Alexa as well. Apparently, they did have one. Did CW unplug it before the attack?

I was visiting my son and his family on Sunday and asked them a zillion questions about their Alexa.

My DIL said she thinks it would hold some clues for IT guys to try and unlock. She said that the company claims that Alexa only records and 'pays attention' when someone says 'Alexa...'

But she says that is not true. They have had creepy experiences, as she calls it. Alexa will just chime in on their conversations, uninvited.

Like last week my son did a load of laundry, [ I raised a nice son...] and he called out to his wife, saying 'we are out of detergent' ....and Alexa said ' shall I reorder laundry detergent..?'' So she was listening...

And one night at dinner their 3 yr old was looking at the back cover of one of her books, and said ' I want Lady Bug Girl and the Rescue Dog ' Book ...and Alexa piped in and said 'shall I order ....

So my DIL said that Alexa is lurking and listening, even when not called by name. The question is, how long are those recordings kept for retrieval?

Hopefully, LE looked into that immediately.
I too, have an Alexa. As soon as I saw SW’s I asked about LE taking in for recordings. (Thread 1?)
Ours often pops into conversations uninvited but I didn’t know if one of us may have said the wake word “Alexa” in error because my daughters name happens to be Alex/Alexandra.

I am interested in the grilling out mentioned by a neighbor. No girls heard... maybe decided to have one last good ole steak dinner? Was going to be a long, long time until another even he had to think.

I think she did find it funny though. She followed the “don’t know what to think about this...” comment with a couple of crying laughing emojis, and like you say, she indicated in the comments that the girls had done it, saying “at least they had each other’s backs”

IMO, I wonder if her comment about the girls having each other's backs meant that neither of them would admit doing it, and/or neither of her girls was trying to place blame on the other.
Opens up a whole can of ironies, maybe. Or maybe they both denied it because someone else did it, and they promised not to tell?
Obviously, it's a reach with the limited info we have to work with, and sometimes a doll posed to look like a dead person in the morgue is innocent child's play.

I read a funny meme recently. It said something like ...
Back in the sixties we used to say... I can’t say that or the government will wiretap my house; now we say...hey wiretap, do you have a recipe for pancakes?

I have heard so many stories of Alexa popping up at the most inappropriate times. Making people wonder what kind of privacy they have with her around.

You can, usually you would get a mediator to work through this for you. I did this, but there were no children involved, very few assets, and you have to get the other party to agree to this scenario. It still isn't cheap, but more affordable than a divorce lawyer. I think with children and assets at stake, most choose to decide it in family court. I can't think of one friend that did not have a lawyer for their divorce when children were involved.

Food for thought:

While the DSM-V regards Narcissistic PD as a homogeneous syndrome, there are variations in its expression. There are 5 “subtypes” and few pure variants of any subtype (in other words, a person could be a combination of subtypes).

Unprincipled Narcissist

*Includes anti-social features
*Deficient conscience
*Amoral
*Disloyal
*Deceptive
*A “con artist”

Amorous Narcissist

*Seductive
*Enticing
*Disinclined to real intimacy
*Pathological lying & swindling
*Tends to have many affairs

Very interesting. I learn something new here on WS all the time.

ETA: yes it appears each of my exes are combinations of these subtypes. Lol.

Hopefully, they're up to speed on all the new technology devices in homes and neighborhoods (traffic cams, etc.) that can help investigations.

JMO, it's also a strong probability that Andarko had security cameras at the tank storage area where he disposed of their bodies.

I think the prosecution will not have difficulty convincing a jury that CW killed his children as well as his wife.

Someone diagnosed with NPD (ASPD) is like everyone else in that we are all a combination of personality types, and subtleties within those personality types.

But, unlike NPD'ers, most of us behave within the norms of society.

My life, unfortunately, has been full of varying ranges of narcissism...I seem to be a magnet (working on that). Due to this, I have, for the last 2 years, read everything I can (from reliable sites and sources) on NPD, Sociopaths and a bit on Psychopaths. Crazy world!

Is Shanann's memorial page gone? I can't find it now.

ETA: Never mind. I found it. That was weird.

CW would know where the cameras were too.

Is there a video of the Sunday Bar-b-que? Was it supposedly at the Watts house?

You are right. Cause and Manner of Death have not been made public. The strangulation assumption comes from both the affidavit and the DNA motions.

Here are two articles that describe how the unlawful termination of pregnancy charge applies:
Chris Watts charged with murder, unlawful termination of a pregnancy in deaths of wife, daughters

Why Chris Watts likely won't face murder charge in death of unborn child

So we can not say for sure yet what the COD is. I wouldn’t be surprised if something other than strangulation comes out (after researching FAs). Moo.

For anyone who has studied Narcissistic Personality Disorder and narcissistic abuse, this is all going to sound incredibly familiar. And yeah, most of them eventually do end up tripping themselves up because they aren't as clever and powerful as they think.

Their sense of their own "power" blinds them to how stupid some of their lies sound to others...and since they believe their own lies, they often don't make much of an effort to be believable to others. Only the smartest (or "luckiest") ones get away with it for long, and if they are also dangerous...yikes!
