Is anyone watching Crime & Justice with Ashleigh Banfield? If so, what are your thoughts on what’s being said right now about Chris Watts?
What is being said? I’m not in the US

An “alleged former lover” is speaking.
Edit: Sorry, that wasn’t helpful. I had to pause it, so I have only heard the very beginning of what is being said!

Ashleigh is talking with a supposed former lover (male). Relationship was over --- had lasted about 10 months. I missed the first half-hour

So a couple of thoughts about the "after" time period, hopefully not repeating what others may have posited.
All IMO of course...

CW moved all the bodies at the same time - when he "left for work" that morning. He had to hurry up his timetable because of the plane delay, so didn't stage and clean everything as he had planned. With the drive out to the remote location, and then carrying each little one up to separate tanks , he was racing against the clock. I think it's possible he ran out of steam, adrenaline, lack of sleep, and time and opted for a quick shallow grave for SW, intending to come back later. The sheet could have blown away while he was digging, and he never got a chance to retrieve it. Maybe he had to check in for work, and he quickly covered SW but couldn't get back to hide her in the tanks, or bury her better before NU called him. He had lost control of the whole thing at that point and had to come up with another scenario.

I think that NU could have offered to meet SW at the doctor's office to help with the kids and for moral support like a good friend would. That's how she knew SW missed her appt. That's why she showed up at the house. That's why she was concerned enough to use the code to try to get in. I think she may have known enough about their troubled marriage to have her antenna up with regard to CW. This is why she was so ready to call LE, and none of CWs b.s. was going to deter her from finding SW.

CW beat feet to get home and enter with LE. He was able to see the house through their eyes somewhat and gage what they may be thinking happened to SW, where they looked, what they looked at, the questions they asked, etc. CW was able to gain one night (Monday) alone in the house to work out a story, clean, dispose of evidence, and whatever. He must have felt he had things back under control at this point, enough to give tv interviews on his porch looking pretty calm, cool, and collected.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to bounce these ideas off you all.

Sounds about right to me!

No reasonable/basically normal parent would ever believe their adult child is capable of such a horrific act. I don't think one's first instinct is to doubt their child... unless there was prior history of troubled behavior. I truly wonder what was going through the minds of CW's family as this event unfolded.
No normal parent would want to believe that their son put their grandchildren's bodies in crude oil either, IMO, but he has admitted to that.

I think I also read that the bed linens were on the floor in the master bedroom and that the blankets were missing on both of the children's beds. IMO that would have given LE and NU concern and pause from the beginning.

Ahhhh no, because I’m still working after hours but I keep meaning to DVR this every night. HLN?
I do like to read and watch all sides with questions asked, answered and all theories. I’ve asked questions before to try to see the defense side in this case, but those went unanswered for the last 5 or so days. So, I gave up trying to see it.

What his family could have possibly been thinking during those first few days all the way until now is one of the biggest questions in my mind. They wouldn't want to believe he's a monster. They undoubtedly love their grandchildren and are grieving. But they know them both very, very well. Will the denial that comes with love be able to run that deep in this extreme case? Even with the oil?! I don't know.

It’s always caught me as strange why she was going to the doctors for a baby related checkup with her friend and not her husband. Could she have found out about he affair and have been going to have an abortion. Maybe the emotional conversation at 2 or 4 or 5 am was along the lines of “I know you are having an affair and by the way I’m getting rid of the baby tomorrow” speculation / my opinion / thoughts only

I really don’t think she would do that. She had already had two babies. I don’t think she would kill her third. Usually women don’t hold a bad husband against their baby. I have friends who had terrible situations with an ex but they still love the babies they had with the guy.

Sometimes men have to work and can’t get off for doctors appointments. Maybe her friend was going to go help with the kids.

Isn't Ashleigh Banfield the one that said AP (i.e., alleged paramour) probably helped bury SW?

Late Edit: And now she's interviewing CWs alleged boyfriend.

I’m sorry, for some reason I can’t figure out who AP is. I know it’s the mistress, but is it a name, or just a reference?

Now that this "supposed" boyfriend of CW has come forward, I believe there will be more. As long as they are promised their identities will be protected.

AP is reference for alleged partner/paramour. I had to ask too!

I meant because she didn’t think she could raise a 3rd child alone etc. I don’t view abortion as killing so maybe different views make my post sound like it was bad if she was doing that but I don’t.
