Is anyone watching Crime & Justice with Ashleigh Banfield? If so, what are your thoughts on what’s being said right now about Chris Watts?

I am watching right now! Missed the first half but wow! His former lover is a man. I told my husband all along I thought he might be gay and in the closet. Brings a whole other level to this whole thing. The former lover is still speaking on the show and said that CW told him that SW was emotionally and verbally abusive to him and that he did not believe it.

And sorry to just jump in all of a sudden, I have not posted on here since the Scott Peterson case but I've been following these threads and this case has pulled me back in. So hello everyone!

You know what? Everybody heard this the first time around. It's not cool to post and repost and rub everyone's nose in it who had a different theory. Cops have been wrong before, so unless there is new evidence to discuss, let's give it a rest.

Um, no. The affidavit says "active affair with a co-worker." It doesn't say the co-worker's sex. That was an assumption we all made.

I just watched interview #2 again. This is the interview where he is discuses the t-shirt "she" bought him.

This is an 8 minute, 6 second interview and in it, he said Shanann's name twice, Bella's name twice and Celeste's name twice. The rest of the time he refers to them as "she", "her", "them" and "the kids".

IMO, throughout the entire interview, he awkwardly and repeatedly avoids referring to Shanann, Bella and Celeste by their first names. IMO, the way he refers to them is as if they were an entity.

I meant because she didn’t think she could raise a 3rd child alone etc. I don’t view abortion as killing so maybe different views make my post sound like it was bad if she was doing that but I don’t.

No I didn’t think you were judging her.... I just don’t think that a mother of two kids would abort a third in most cases. Mostly because of the motherly instinct that is likely already there in light of her past photos of her babies and things...and also because once you actually physically have babies, you do tend to lean more towards it being killing, regardless of political views. I would think abortion more likely for a mistress than the wife who already had two kids.

It’s always caught me as strange why she was going to the doctors for a baby related checkup with her friend and not her husband. Could she have found out about he affair and have been going to have an abortion. Maybe the emotional conversation at 2 or 4 or 5 am was along the lines of “I know you are having an affair and by the way I’m getting rid of the baby tomorrow” speculation / my opinion / thoughts only

I couldn't imagine someone having an abortion at 15/16 weeks after they know the sex of the baby and have already named him. The appointment was probably a regular check since she is high risk, she was also sick the day before so she might have scheduled it last minute.

Sometimes men have to work and can’t get off for doctors appointments. Maybe her friend was going to go help with the kids.

My husband NEVER went to any of my maternity appointments. I had three kids with him. He just had no interest until the actual birth.

Ashleigh Banfield is a great reporter. She used to be a news anchor for Fox 4 News in the DFW area.

She absolutely is credible in her reporting.

Actually, I've heard that most abortions are performed on older women who already have children. That's what I've heard anyway.

OK that Ashley thing sounds a little bogus to me, I wonder if they got that guy who's been all over Social Media trying to get attention, saying things as vague as this guy on HLN is saying. Am I allowed to say which social media system as long as I don't give a name of the person? I wonder if Ashley's gonna ask him if he kept the text messages. Bet he conveniently didn't.

I kind of wondered, looking at him, if he could be gay as well. But it was a passing thought since I thought the AP was a woman.

It would also make more sense why it would be a coworker at an oil place, which seems it would have more men employees. Not to be sexist, but other than a secretary, I couldn’t think of how many women would work there.

I hesitate to say this for fear of being misunderstood...but he was surrounded by girls and a woman....if he no longer wanted anything to do with girls or women or even fatherhood...that actually helps a few of the pieces fall into place, for me, anyway.

Yeah. I have four kids. He went with me to most of the appointments with the first, some of the appointments with the second, and very few with the third and the fourth, LOL. Just the ultrasounds!
