Look, I don't know if you were really playing the devil's advocate game, as you suggested early on when you apologized for "ruffling feathers" or if you're just messing with us now, but I find your actions highly inappropriate and disrespectful. Not trying to be rude, just honest.

The problem is that you were so far "out there", using proof like "her eyes" and stuff for your "defense." There is a REAL conversation about his guilt (or lack thereof) to be had here. I usually hover on the fence myself until the trial rolls around. There is a slight chance(and when I say slight, I mean slenderman versus a sumo wrestler) that his story is true. Stranger things have happened. I truly DO believe in the whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing. Because of that, I think we truly could have had an intelligent conversation here about his defense and what "might" have occurred. I like playing devil's advocate as well and looking at things from both sides of the crime. I think we should all do that from time to time because things aren't always as they seem.

There's a way of doing that without being disrespectful, however. So many people got to where they were using the "ignore" button that it was becoming difficult to have a conversation with anyone. I, personally, got to the point where arguments were becoming so outlandish and backed by zero logic that I couldn't even seriously entertain the idea of him being anything but guilty-and that's not good. We really DO need to look not only at this case but ALL cases with unemotional eyes. (Which, I know, is nearly impossible to do when children's deaths are at hand.)

Boards where everyone agrees are boring because they become echo chambers. But unlike many crime TV shows out there, this isn't entertainment; these are real people's lives. :-( Real children died in this story-we're not going to see them next week on a CSI rerun.

I really want to be respectful of everyone's opinions and ideas. I'm not telling anyone how to post. If you're here for an actual dialoug about this case, though, IMO there's a certain amount of seriousness and respect that we have to pay not only each other but the actual victims and the peripheral victims themselves.
Wow, this is so well written. Absolutely expressing so much of what I was feeling and thinking. Thank you for putting the effort and thought into this post.

I apologize if my posts were offensive.
thank you for offering this.
I hope you're not offended when some question the sincerity. It takes a little time. Hang in there if you're sincere. People on here are pretty wise as many of us have been here for years and have seen all kinds of stuff go down on these cases.

Sorry for the big gaps between paragraphs. I was trying a different browser. I don't know why that happened.
That must be the browser that Cariis uses. Just joking!

For not wanting to be sexist, believing that women working at Anadarko in 2018 are limited to "secretaries" sounds very sexist to me! Nine female engineers (5 petroleum) in my family. Just sayin...

Edit: quotation

That’s so cool Seattle, nine female engineers! (And 5 petroleum, what is that a chemical engineer or mat sci? Can you get a degree in petroleum?)

Raven, your story is similar to my sister's ex husband. Though he didn't show up where she worked or anything, because she was pretty tight-lipped about where she lived, and she never did a change of address that he could track down. He would leave her messages at random, though, and kept putting off the divorce. He would swear he was sober and how much he missed her and wanted to work everything out. Then one day it all stopped, he finally filed for divorce, and it was finalized after 2.5 years (last year).

Turns out he was "in love" with another woman, and while visiting her in Virginia recently, died in a car accident (his new girlfriend died in the accident too). An accident that clearly indicated that he was intoxicated behind the wheel.

My sister is glad that she never has to worry about him again.

I believe in this day and age you can get a degree in just about anything. Anything at all.

PHEW. I'm finally caught up. I'm so glad that so many here were onto the troll. I saw his original post with his claims on SM and knew it was a troll by his history within that platform in the previous days. So many people are buying into it and it literally takes less than a minute to "sleuth" him and figure out that it is just a big joke to him. The whole platform he is using for his SM posts was created by the lawsuit couple. I am simply flabbergasted that HLN couldn't be bothered to figure it out - like I said, it was truly simple to figure out.

It is the thought, that counts.

OFF TOPIC:
and this is why there's a line to move out of that state (where I was born and raised so I can talk smack). Remember Northridge? Of course you do.

Get out or risk having ocean front property in the Mojave Desert. San Andreas Fault Line, I miss NEVER. (although I do remember wondering "was that a sonic boom or earthquake?" - I was in the AV)

ON TOPIC:
CW is a pathological liar. This newest AP to interview on HLN only further proves that point. AP alleges their affair ended MONTHS ago. So would he be brought to trial? I would guess "MAYBE". He could be considered too influential to the jury so I would imagine the defense would strongly advocate him against him as a witness in a trial. And I would have to agree.

MOOOoooo
As of now, I don't know what CW is. He lies but not well. He isn't very smart. He is not logical. I'm thinking there has to be something more than the AP and money. I'm sure he is going to get a battery of psychological tests by the defense team. Anxious to find out what is so terribly wrong with him.

OT: We lived in Hawaii then and missed the Northridge earthquake, but my DH had to go there for a month and help assess the damage (Fed govt employee). A lot of our friends are retiring in Hawaii. That's what we want to do eventually.

I'm guessing that HLN didn't even bother to check.

go on Sheepman, register there for some sleuthing - it's all for a good cause. ;)
Haha - thinking how to explain that search history to my wife I bet that site had a bit of an increase on the hits since the interview.

It's a troubling thought, but I wonder whether CW wanted SW to get pregnant
again because it was so dangerous to her health due to her lupus. Maybe he was hoping that the hi-risk pregnancy would kill her and he wouldn't have to kill her himself.

Certainly plausible. However, I am of the opinion that his murder spree was impulsive and hurried. There are certainly multiple, more believable ways he could've carried this out with just a little critical thinking.

Yes and to me, it devalues real education. Not talking about a degree in Petroleum, but those ridiculous ones where the degree is a genre of movies or comic book characters.

It was Safari. Foxfire is really slow in loading.
How long does the edit button work? Is there a delete button or the edit button is used for delete? TIA

It literally took me seconds once I got his name to find him linked to JLR. He even admitted to him being a "good friend" before he locked down his SM.

Don't worry about it. I sometimes uninstall and reinstall FF. It always goes haywire after a while, but I like it.
