BBM So it's something she might have said in front of someone else.

I'm not saying I believe the guy. What I'm saying is kids will talk about weird things in front of people, and we know it's something she's talked about before.
The question is....did he say anything in the interview that couldn't have been gleaned by reading/viewing SW's social media?

Definitely. I remember some discussion about the keys though and IIRC, there was only one news source that said the keys were in her car and it wasn't the most reliable source. I'll do some digging, but the keys are very important and definitely need to be included. Thank you.

@Hazelnutty

Quoting myself to add link because I mis-remembered apparently. I found an ABC article that states the keys were in the car, so that's where I am adding them on my floor plan.

'I hope it's a boy for him': Pregnant wife, weeks before husband allegedly killed her
When they found Watts' purse and cell phone inside the house and her keys inside her car in the garage, Atkinson became even more alarmed.

I think either NU ruined his plan or he was still wrapping his head around what he had done and didn't have a plan.
NU is the hero in this case, for sure.

Kinda weird. When did she put the keys in her car? Before she left for the conference, so they've been in the car for days? Or maybe CW left them there while she was out of town?

Odd.

It would be on the outside so you can open the garage door from outside without the car remote.
Thanks. When I re-read the affidavit, it actually says "outside." Duh :p

If there was a male lover, this is a game changer, imo. What CW did was crazy in the extreme. I wonder if his relationships with male partners were going to be outed (either Shanann found out or somebody else threatened to tell her). This does not fit his family man, fit physique image, he killed them all to save face, I think. Assuming of course there was male lover(s).

The guy I’m thinking of has facial hair, wears bright lipstick and other make-up. I personally don’t know the guy and I have nothing against him or his choices. I’m just saying I’m pretty sure it’s not something most people see everyday. IMO kids would say something if their dads friend looked like that. Just saying....

It doesn't appear that he walks around like that every day.

Me too. Was there also an exterior door?
I don't remember a door from the basement, but there is one to the back porch. (The slider.)

Maybe he moved her car when he pulled his truck in and left the keys in her car.

But the problem I have with the BBM above, is that the comment by Bella is a big theme of one of the SW FB videos. You see Bella asking over and over, if she can sleep in their bed.

So it seems to me that it might be something the guy saw online and incorporated in his story. IMO

This is exactly the problem I have. {Sigh} Now, if there are texts and we see those tonight, that changes things.

I remember reading somewhere that the back slider was locked. I can't remember where I read it.

Did he mention it in an interview? It's ringing a bell to me too.

If the texts are with CW and they confirm a sexual relationship - WOW!!!

I know he first claimed a fiance told him about CW murdering his wife/kids. Then he said LE told him when they contacted about text messages.

He was relishing in the attention he was getting on SM and admitted to being the caller, before someone probably contacted him and told him to shut his SM down to private.

He admitted to knowing and being good friends with Jonathan Lee Riches.

At this point I think any claims of verification without proof of such is just the media doing a CYA.

Thank you so much for that summary. I guess we just wait and see. If true it will probably come out at trial f the court doesn't rule it as more prejudicial than probative, because it will be part of showing motive to be free from "mundane" family life.

It is odd. So many of us wondered about this when it was first reported. I thought it may be where she left them since they had the key pads, but then CW said in one of his interviews that Shanann usually leaves the garage door unlocked. IMO,it just doesn't fit with what we know about her. We've heard that she's OCD, there's a security bar on the back slider door and a latch on the front door - but she's going to leave the garage unlocked with her keys in the car? Hmmm

A second interview a day later, or a continuation of the one before as to get clicks many times they just do the same interview over 2 days? Do you know?

Ashleigh Banfield has new information etc. So I think this will be a new interview.

I am surprised that he didn’t hightail it back to the oil field, late Monday night, after everyone went home, to dig up and dump Shanann’s body into an oil tank and grab that sheet he left behind. But maybe he knew the cops were onto him.
