What is odd, is that prison really isn't that awful of a place. Many people thrive in the prison system. There are activities, things to do, people to hang out with.

I wish our prison was a miserable place, but it really isn't. CW will probably find his "niche", and if he maintains a low profile, he will live a fairly decent life. Shucks.

I think that cased messed up a lot of us. I swore never to follow another case. And I haven't as rabidly...but i've still been way to caught up for my optimum mental health!

Judging from some of CW's photos, I think he was taking steroids, most likely Human Growth Hormone. Side effects can be: protruding forehead with a fatty ridge above the bridge of the nose and elongated chin that juts out (see the screen captures from the porch interviews).

In the beach photos where SW is hidden behind CW and the photo of him in the water, you can see other steroid use side effects:
puffy nipples (called "gyno" in bodybuilder's slang) and he has moobs (man ).

The photo of Chris shirtless mowing the lawn also looks like he's been "juicing." Thrive black patches boost testerone, so that too,
could account for some changes in his metabolism, appearance,
+ make him irritable and short-tempered.

I still think the motive is that he wanted to do whatever he wanted when he wanted. No nagging wife. No needy children. Just him.

The house had increased in value so he would have some money from that. He had a good job.

Thanks to whoever posted the video earlier that was taken outside the ranch where the girls were dumped in the tanks. I think the
title of the video was "Watts Investigators Search the Ranch" or something like that.

The whole time I had been thinking that the tanks and oilfields were located in a dusty, desert-like environment. I was surprised to see green grass and yellow wildflowers (I know, they might be weeds instead of flowers).

The thought of the little girls' lifeless bodies dumped in the dirty oil tanks and Shanann's body in the shallow grave nearby, is so
hard to fathom. It may seem naive, but I'm hoping that their
spirits could see all of those yellow flowers that look like little yellow daisies. I hope that the yellow wildflowers could somehow
be like the flowers mourners bring to the funeral and graves.

Agreed! I learned in my ex husband trial (he sexually assaulted our daughter continuously while he had his court ordered visits, he was also alcoholic and worked in offshore oil), that prosecutors can easily turn his drinking/drug use to show that the person could have been using andacted under the influence. BUT the defendant CHOSE to put said substance in their body so claiming they were acting under influence is NOT a defense.

I'm so sorry you went through that, so awful! Honestly, I think I might kill someone if they hurt my child.

The oddest part, is that there are so many phone calls, just going through voice mail to sort out what is important from junk takes over an hour.

The worst time in your life, yet things are so busy and hectic you have zero time to do anything. It is overwhelming.

I’d like to offer a friend’s perspective on putting the children in the tanks. I wondered how CW could do that.

If the children were wrapped in their baby blankets (that indicates a loving gesture, however warped) and then carried away in garbage bags, he could not see them. He didn’t have to look as he dropped them in.

With a burial, he would have to look down as he covered them with dirt.

Interesting to note that SW was not kept wrapped in the sheet from their bed. It was found near the burial site, but was evident from the drone. She was uncovered and CW had to see what he was doing as he covered her with dirt.

If found guilty I think SW’s family should have the option to have the final say if CW gets the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole. JMO

With the yellow flowers, I felt like maybe I was clutching at something small but it made me feel a tiny bit better.

The color yellow usually is uplifting and helps depression. They say that it is good to look at a piece of yellow paper every day.

I just found this website about the meaning of colors and it's interesting because this paragraph about yellow seems to represent the girls and SW but at the end it brings in CW ("cowardice and deceit").
