Triple Murder Suspect Chris Watts Is Under Suicide Watch in Jail: Sources
September 04, 2018 09:01 PM

Chris Watts, the man accused of killing his pregnant wife and two young daughters, is under suicide watch in jail — and is under constant surveillance to ensure that he doesn’t harm himself.

Under Close Watch Protocol, Watts spends 23 hours a day in his jail cell, where he sits in protective custody. He does not have a cellmate.

Guards must check on Watts every 10-15 minutes to ensure his well-being and must make visual contact with him. Additionally, Watts is not allowed the same privileges as other people at the jail, including no access to weights, reading material and television.

How dare the monster consider suicide now! Probably more attention seeking behavior...

It will all boil down rather quickly to homosexuality, money, child support, human growth hormones, steroids, cowardice and quack patches. A lack of his suicide however, I am having personal issues with. IMO.:rolleyes:
I don't think he was homosexual, I think he was bisexual. Was it verified he was taking HGH (human growth hormone) at the time of the murders?

You hit the nail on the ahead with "salacious"! I think her career took a downturn after she left CNN.
She's trying to reinvent herself as Nancy Grace....

Putting new inmates on suicide watch isn’t uncommon, especially in cases of multiple murder. It doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s expressed any suicidal ideation.

I know this isnt really relevant but I'm so interested to know what the reporters that interviewed thought while interviewing him and after.

We know they were already planning to separate from her NC family. Which is why his story is an utter lie.
Did her family say this?

Nothing he was taking has been verified, I did say it was only my opinion. :)

I haven't read anywhere that says SW for sure knew about CW's affair(s) or him wanting a separation. Has her friend N given more than one interview? Because in the one I read she even says that SW never mentioned a separation to her and only Chris mentioned it to her on the day she was looking for SW. The only other mention I saw of a separation was a hair stylist of a family member. I'm not sure exactly how reliable that is.

It only takes a few days to acclimate to the elevation. The thin atmosphere and corresponding lack of oxygen might affect asthma, but on the other hand, the dry climate and low humidity would be beneficial.

And elevation of Frederick is just less than 5,000 feet, while Telluride sits at 8,750, so Frederick is not nearly as bad.

As a side note, I have a theory about the lack of oxygen at high elevations causing mental illness. But 5,000 feet elevation is not as bad as the people I see near the Cripple Creek, Colorado area, where the elevation is twice that.

I'm no doc, but I am a Colorado native and resident. Colorado Springs at 6k feet. I have mild asthma and kids with asthma ranging from mild and infrequent to moderate/severe needing regular preventative and frequent rescue treatments. Humidity actually helps us. I never had an episode or diagnosis until after I spent a few years in humid FL in the Air Force. When I returned to my homeland with dry, thin CO air, I had my first attack. My kids had it from childhood. Sometimes we take kids into steamy bathrooms when they have colds that are exacerbating the asthma. Doc told us it's hereditary. If mom has it, kids are likely to. I can say that whenever we have wildfires in our state or neighboring states with smoke blowing our way, that really messes with us.

LOL, yep! I think I remember you from the Jodi Arias trial iirc?? I posted a lot on that trial here at WS!

“According to an arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE, Chris allegedly said that after he told Shan’ann he wanted to separate when she got back from a work trip, he saw her strangling their 3-year-old, Celeste, while their 4-year-old, Bella, lay “blue” and apparently lifeless on her bed.”

Re- reading this I think it’s a poorly written sentence. I interpreted this as he told her he wanted to separate when she returned from AZ.
Oh ok, thanks for clarifying! I figured he told her he wanted to separate due to other issues but he didn't admit he was messing around behind her back or had experimented with a male. This case is so gut-wrenching!

I'm pretty sure the only source of this information was a quote from a hair stylist of a family member. I'm not sure how reliable this is. I guess I only believe it if I hear it straight from her family, which we won't until trial. When crimes like this occur there are always a lot of Monday morning quarterbacks who "remember" things or have "inside" information that they can't wait to share with the media.

Did her family say this?
Shortly after the murders, a salon co-worker of SW's Mum spoke to media and stated it was disclosed earlier by SW while she was in the shop, and assisting with it's grand opening, visit, etc.. (Family wasn't part of interview)...

Did her family say this?
One of the hairdressers who worked at her mother’s hair salon said it on camera, right after C.W. was arrested.

I'd be interested too.

Today on AB the People Mag author said C.W. told LE that SW knew about the affair. His inside source told him.

Thanks for this info. I wonder when LE will verify this person's ID or will they keep it anonymous until the trial starts?

Thank you for that. You provided better information than I did. (And by the way, some of Colorado Springs goes up to 7,000 feet, maybe more, it really depends on where you live.)

My father suffered from chronic asthma and COPD and eventually died from it. As I recall, the altitude here in Colorado was not good for his breathing. I was guessing about the humidity, but I know for sure that my father was triggered by mold and mildew, so he had a very hard time living in lower, more humid areas. I'm sure each person with asthma reacts differently, but you are probably correct, that on the whole, humidity is better than dryness.

Thank you.
