I don't think you can go by that, not everyone can spell or auto-correct changes the spelling. When my daughter was about three months old, my aunt kept calling her by the wrong name. Finally, my mom said, that's not her name. My Dad had told my aunt the wrong name. LOL He thought that was her name. In his defense he was extremely sick when she was born. He did get the first letter right.
I first saw the name Niko on Frankie's FB. But LE and the funeral home spelled it Nico.

Ann Rule is dead. RIP
She was the best. Her health declined right as a book subject tried to drag Rule’s name through the mud. This was coupled with one of her sons embezzling money from her, because he couldn’t survive on his 30k monthly allowance.

I woke up this morning with a new theory. First thing I thought was why should I believe they had an emotional argument? Or any confrontation, whatsoever? CW is a liar. How come SW didn’t kick, scratch, fight, and scream bloody murder when SW killed her? How come Dieter wasn’t howling during the process of strangulation? Why didn’t the neighbors hear anything? I think he ambushed, restrained, and silenced her before she knew what hit her. I think he premeditated this whole thing, and came up with the “She strangled the children, I was so enraged I strangled her,” story long in advance of the murders, and only planned to use it if he got caught. His plans were derailed by NU, and the discovery that SW‘s body wouldn’t fit into the oil tank.
Except the neighbors heard fighting that night.

Yes. She was a great writer. I didn't know about her sons.

Yeah, I can’t find anything on that either. Someone on WS mentioned it in a previous thread, but I’m striking out when I search for it on the Google.

JudgeJudi posted this link. The guy author has a few typos but I can't believe I just read that Chris was paying not only Life Insurance n SW, he was paying for Life Ins. on the kids! Who does that?!

To my knowledge thus far, the neighbors only heard Dieter howling like he was being hurt, which caused them to ask LE for a wellness check. Of course, we can suspect they only think they heard the dog...

It seems to have been done through the company he worked for. We don’t know if this was still in effect as it came from a 2015 bankruptcy filing. I see that Gerber life insurance commercial all the time, I’m not sure how common it is for parents to insure their children.

If you mean that he's a monster devoid of humanity, I totally agree.

Assuming he pleads not guilty, we'll never know the reason he committed these unspeakable murders, but I still want to know a great deal more about him:

- his background before he met Shanann
- how the events unfolded that night
- I want to hear from him in his own words an explanation as to why he disposed of the children's bodies in such a manner if he loved them
- why his versions changed
- why did he have unprotected sex with Shanann if HE didn't want another child. He always had the choice of having a vasectomy and he didn't even need to tell her.
- IF he had affairs, why.

Not knowing how a father could do this and why keeps me awake at night.
I'm not sure we will ever know the true reason why he did what he did. But I agree that I would like to know more information about him. I'm kind of amazed that there has not been any information about him. Nothing about his family. Nothing from old friends. Nothing from ex-girlfriends or his high school or college days. Nothing about his past. The only information really has been friends that him and SW had that were shocked. And some questionable people that no one has really confirmed, if their stories are true.

That’s my thinking as well. I think he caught her by surprise. Scott Peterson was also able to somehow escape injury.
I always thought that SP attacked Laci when she was in her bedroom getting ready for bed. I think she was removing her top by her bed and he strangled or smothered her. There clearly was a body print on their white comforter that showed up in the police photos. So either he layed opposite on his bed or she was laying there as he did whatever he did to her.

It is odd. I guess it’s possible that he was a loner, and didn’t have many friends. I understand his family keeping quiet, but I would expect to hear from more of the types of people you mentioned.

It’s definitely plausible that’s the way it went down. He could have also simply come up behind her, and put her in a chokehold. She’d be unconscious in a matter of seconds. He could have then smothered her, or held the hold until she was dead.

I saw this, too, but I’d sure like to know more, like what time did this happen, did CW answer the door when LE came knocking?

You said it.
Will CW get up on the stand and tell that story about his telling SW that he wanted a divorce and that it put her into a murderous rage?? Oohh, if so, the prosecution will rip him a new one -- I don't think he is bright enuff to take the stand without screwing it up, and I feel sure his defense team will easily notice his limited smarts sooner than later.
So, IMO, the only way the jury hears that CW asked for a divorce would be: 1) opening/closing arguments (not evidence), 2) a psychologist could relate what he told him/her in a session, or 3) a friend of his might testify that he told him/her about it, but then the question would be when did he tell his friend.

Further, it may be that SW told her parents that she was thinking about a separation/divorce on her trip there -- she was probably confused, sad, mad and upset. Her parents would surely take the stand to contest his story about it, if necessary.

Very good points, and I think the prosecution will rip him a new one, too. I suspect he's not going to change his story now, and that will likely mean SW's parents and brother will end up testifying about what happened in NC.

JMO, I do think SW came to the conclusion that she wanted to separate and I think that happened when she was in NC. We don't yet have proof positive that he was a serial cheater, but JMO, I think he was and I think he really enjoyed his secret life, but I think he also got a lot out of the image he had by being married to SW and having two darling little girls. JMO.

I don't think he would have gone along with all the smiling pictures of a happy family life and the Thrive vacations if he detested it so much. I think he was getting a lot out of it in terms of ego and image. JMO, I do think his image is very important to him.

JMO, if SW pulled the rug out from under him, that would explain to me the rage and attempted cover-up that I believe these murders required. I think it was a rage that built up over a period of time, and may have been further fueled by fears she would let his secret out of the bag.

JMO, he may have led SW to believe everything would be amicable in terms of the separation. I don't think she had any idea he was capable of doing what he did.

All JMO, and it will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Ok. So the crime writer (link posted above) shows a screengrab of Trent's FB chat where he
outs himself and says that police had contacted him. This is what I had seen days before he called into Ashleigh's show. AB announced after he called in twice, that Trent had talked to the police. This was not the 1st time Trent had talked to LE. They called him first when they went through CW's phone..

I agree with Seattle. All crude that I have ever seen that comes off as a byproduct from a gas well is thick and tarry looking much like liquid asphalt. In fact that is what asphalt is with the addition of sand. Possibly crude from the production of oil wells is different. I haven't worked with it as much. My father used to work in an oil refinery, and he said some of the crude is thin. Gas production and oil production are different animals.

Exactly, he has been described as an introvert as far back as high school. Introverts usually don't engage much with other people therefore there is nothing remarkable for anyone who had known him to come forward to report.

Trying to understand the mind of a sociopath is not something that comes naturally to the unafflicted. I've learned a bit about them over the course of a lifetime and the thing you have to stay cognizant of is they don't experience emotions in the same way we do. They don't feel real love beyond what the person is giving them. They choose people and when they are done with them they can do unimaginable things like putting babies in oil tanks without remorse.
