I went back and looked at the AB video of the actual tanks. There is only one opening on the top of the tank and it has a dome top like the small one in the video. His tool box looks 3x the size of that hole in the YouTube video. But without actually climbing up there and measuring the openings on the tanks that CW used, there’s no way for us to know for sure. I guess.
With wine vats/tanks. You fill up the tank or extract the contents of the tank via pump hose at the bottom exterior of the tank.

Now those holes at the top of the tank is only for measuring how many feet of wine is left.

So they would dip a line down that hole until it hits the wine. And that told them how many feet/gallons were left in said vat/tank.

So I wonder if they use the same older method for those oil tanks.

There are so many different designs for these tanks. Some have openings on the sides for cleaning. Maybe @ColoradoLove can ask the crew if an adult can easily fit into the actual tanks that CW used

This video is why I made the assumption SW's body would not fit into the opening. I'm pretty sure this video does not depict the actual storage tanks that are on the site where CW hid the bodies of his two little girls.

JMO, I definitely think CW planned everything out and given his job, he should have accounted for the size of the opening and whether SW's body would fit. Or one would think.

Perhaps the openings on the tanks on that site are larger than the ones in the video and SW's would fit but for some reason, he was unable to get her body there?

If this turns out to be the case, I can think of two scenarios off the top of my head of why he might not have been able to get SW's body to the tank opening.
One might have been physical exhaustion. Another might be that someone was now within a distance where CW feared they could see him carrying SW's body up the stairs to the tank opening.

IDK! Hopefully one day we will know. It is JMO that SW's grave was something CW intended to be temporary and he planned to come back later because I can't think of one reason why he would want for SW's body to be discovered at that site.

All JMO.
Thanks for the video. Interesting. Maybe it wasn't size. Maybe it was rigor mortis! Forgive the mental picture; an hour in the confines of the back of the truck may have made her shape hard to handle. And then there was also dead weight!

The links posted a few thread back, show how you can "jam" the signal without physically disconnecting the device - akin to losing signal/being out of range.
( I'm afraid I've not opened your link, just been scrolling the thread to see if we had updates, so IDK how often they would monitor/act on a vehicle 5- 9am, for instance )
I'm thinking that CW wanted to use the GPS tracking for an alibi, so he would want to remove it and connect it to a different battery so it would look like he was at a different location than he was, not just disable it.

Thanks for that. It answers something else. There was zero mention of cameras. They show none on the photo of what is being displayed at the command center. It seems to be data showing if there's a problem like an explosion? A leak?
I think it probably is data about the levels in the tanks and that would explain why CW placed the children in separate tanks and buried SW. He didn't want to trigger any alarms at the Operation Center. JMO

No way a tank that holds 10's of thousands of gallons could have a level sensor so sensitive it could be tripped by the mass of a child's body.

  • #447
I think CW thought if he said he asked for a separation everyone would think SW must have been so distraught about it she up and left with the girls. CW is a simpleton with few words and simple thoughts.
BBM
The best description of CW in non-derogatory way!

Which is my point.

So why did CW park his truck a couple of blocks away sometime after the murders? Why not park in his own garage, driveway, or out front of his own house?

  • #450
Christian Longo did this. He pleaded guilty to the murders of Mary Jane and Madison Longo, without a deal, but refused to enter a plea on the charges of killing Sadie and Zachery, and the court entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
Why would someone do that? Did he just want the media attention and waste taxpayer dollars?

Just for clarity, one neighbor witnesses his truck running and another neighbor's camera captured his truck backed up and leaving that morning. I think there are posters (not you) who may be confusing the two separate accounts.

Next-door neighbor BM observed his truck running at 5:15 am because she was leaving for the gym, which she did regularly on weekdays. She said something to the effect of that being unusual, or that she had never seen him leave that early before.

Neighbor NT's camera showed his truck backing up to the garage at 5:27 am. and leaving shortly thereafter. CW said he was loading tools, then left for the Hudson job site.

I wonder where CW typically parked his truck? Was it normally parked on the subdivision road in front of their house, or in the driveway or in the garage? Most families typically park their vehicles in the same spot on a regular basis out of habit and ease of household getting vehicles in and out. I saw a video on SW Facebook page she filmed during a hail storm in CO and CW's truck was parked on the subdivision road in front of their home. I am curious if that was where he normally parked on a day to day basis and where his truck was parked that morning.

Based on what was posted above, it seems his truck was running from 5:15 to 5:27 am. That seems like a long time to have his truck idling. What was CW doing for 12 minutes before backing his truck up to the garage?

Why tell them I loaded tools and then left for the Hudson site? Why not just say I left for work at 5:30 am?
True, and why would CW need to load tools when they should already be on his truck inside the large toolbox located in the cab of the truck.
I don't imagine CW was doing any renovations or work at his home during that time so there should be no need to unload the tools after work and then have to reload them.

Most people in a rush would just store the bodies in the garage and comeback later that day when they had a better concealment plan.

But he wasted no time at all getting them out of the house while leaving everything a mess.

So since he chose this method it seems like he may have wanted to setup a possible abduction from home possible scenario.

So my main question is still how did he plan on disabling his neighbors camera to avoid it showing that nobody was kidnapped from the house?

....but I don't think he was scheduled to be at that site because the reports I read said he told LE his day started at a completely different location. He had to know that would raise a flag especially since the abnormal hour would stand out. Plus if he was cognizant over the GPS trail he had to know it would lead them right to the disposal site.
The truck that they towed off appeared to be a personal vehicle so I assume that was the one that carried the bodies. After dumping the bodies, perhaps he picked up his work truck and when on to the locations. Also the video on this site showed that the CERVI 319 located had a gate that was locked with a chair and padlock. It would have been harder to have tracked him here if it was his personal truck and if the well did not have an electronic keypad or FOB that would have identified who was going in to the location.

Re BBM
I had not thought about the size of the opening being too small. That is possible too after watching the video even though that video is not of the exact tank.

My personal theory is the ladder up the side was straight up the side and he physically could not carry her up the ladder because his one hand always had to be on the ladder to get to the top and he could not physically pull her up with just one hand.

The video shows a nice angled ladder but most tanks I have seen have a vertical ladder going straight up the side of the tank. The vertical ladders are usually welded straight up the side of the tank. Requiring at least one hand to be on the ladder at all times. You cannot climb a vertical ladder without always having at least one hand on the ladder.

So thats been my theory on why he could not get the adult up to the top.

But thanks for sharing these ideas because I had never considered the size of the opening may not have even been large enough. Those openings usually are not very large and that is possible too.

I hope we find out the reason from his own admission.
There is no good reason he would not have put her in the tank too other than reasons like we are explaining. JMO of course.

His story in the porch interview was that there was driveway round back but no cameras and someone possibly could have picked her (and the children) up there. He said everything was locked except the garage. Floor plans (if accurate for their home) show a possible side door out of the garage leading to the back that they could theoretically have been taken through without being captured on the front camera. I think that's what he was hinting at...

Good question. I'm still reading, but maybe someone who followed the case will know. I do know that he blamed his wife for murdering Sadie and Zachery, and said that is what prompted him to strangle Mary Jane and Madison, his youngest child.

I was watching one of Shan'ann's videos of herself and the girls making some cookies. At one point, CW walked into the background holding CeCe. Then he later joined into helping CeCe measure the sugar and cleaned up a little mess. He was not asked to join. It appeared that he also wanted to be included in the video. There is so much speculation about SW forcing this, but he seemed also to love the camera with no coercion for those that think SW wore him out. Don't think that was the case at all. But also, as I watched this, I could not understand how ANYONE could kill those little girls. They were both so adorable and sweet. I love the pictures of CeCe smiling where she we crinkle up her nose smiling with her whole face. How could someone put out those beautiful little candles of light? SW, too.

Wow. So he really was starting to gun for a side door abduction scenario.

But why tell people she was going to stay with a friend instead of saying she must have been abducted from the get go.

Its like the she left me was his very 1st plan. But then a possible abduction was his plan b once they seen her car was still there hours after he went to work.

Too bad he didn't truly act like his family has just been abducted. Smh.

But thank you. Because I never watched none of his interviews.

I wonder if LE is going to find where CW looked up that other case and maybe that is how he got the idea to come up with the story of claiming his wife was killing the other kids.
Well, it wasn't a very good one to base his story on McD got caught.
