Isn't Hudson on the way to Cervi 319?

I used the coordinates provided in the warrantless arrest affidavit and typed it into www.gps-coordinates.com and it comes up as Hudson, CO.

Per the warrantless arrest affidavit, when LE questioned CW on Monday when they were first looking into the "disappearance", CW was truthful about where he went at 5:27 on Monday morning. My guess is this was exactly where he was supposed to be for work that morning and he knew the GPS on his truck would back this up.

Now that I'm "getting" this (or I think I am!), JMO, this was all pre-planned, very clever and extremely diabolical. I don't think there was any emotional conversation, or argument. I think SW was attacked by him probably not long after she arrived home. The little girls may have already been killed.

I'm also thinking he planned to have SW's car, keys, purse, cellphone and the girls' medication discovered at the house by LE as this would point to an abduction.

JMO, he really made three mistakes:

1. He didn't realize the neighbor's security cam captured the front of his house and that this would prove that SW and the girls never left the house that day.
2. He misjudged his ability to put SW's body into an oil storage tank, which made him have to dig a hasty, shallow grave to try to hide her body, and he was probably freaking out because of this, and
3. He forgot about the bed sheet

Because of mistakes #2 and #3, Shanann's friend, N's "early" alarm to LE caused huge problems for CW. He wasn't able to go back and do something else with SW's body and collect the bed sheet he left behind. JMO. I also wouldn't be surprised if N also told LE that things were not what they appeared to be with him, and that she suspected he was having an affair, and this may be why LE began to look for an affair. JMO.

JMO, the pillow cases and sheet that were in the kitchen garbage would likely not have been a problem for CW, as that alone, would not point to his involvement. But the drone that flew over where CW had been Monday morning (CERVI319) detected a matching bed sheet and a clandestine grave.

Time will hopefully tell us whether the cadaver dogs played a part in LE knowing Shanann, Bella and Celeste died in the home.

JMO, I don't think this was a rage-fueled fight that resulted in murder. I think it was all planned in advance and that SW never saw what was coming until it was too late.

All JMO.

I really disagree. I think he had some tells that betrayed some slight level of anxiety. Like hard swallows. But he was relatively calm as a cucumber.

Very nervous? Not close. That would include signs like dry mouth, which actually appears with just general nervousness, trembling -we saw none- sweating (also none), breathlessness or inability to catch his breath (none), rapid blinking, etc.

I've seen more nerves in people giving a speech or stopped for a traffic violation!

Agree. IMO, he seemed more nervous in that powerpoint presentation about relationships. Shocking really. He's certainly become a good fake.

I agree! He smiles, he laughs and his voice is completely flat; emotionless. He doesn't shed a tear. His wife and two children are missing! Of course, he knew where they were, so why would he be upset? He put them right where he wanted them.

YES. His demeanor that day may put him in prison for life, or on Death Row.

No way a jury will believe that he saw his wife brutally strangle his babies one night, then a day later, he is on the porch, modeling a shirt his dead wife gave him, and smiling big and making small talk. They will shiver, just like we all did.

I think she could. If she files for divorce and a judge has to decide which one stays in the home, I'd assume it would her her. Being pregnant, and the one who usually cared for the girls every day, from the home.
I've never heard that one can demand the other leave their own house prior to filing for divorce. I know couples who separate but they continue living together because of the costs of two households.

Thanks. This just doesn’t make a ton of sense, atleast from a distance. This would be yet another financial burden, and he was all about it, despite that.

Nothing about this case makes any sense.

Try thinking of it another way. What if CW did not push for baby #3?
What if the pregnancy was attempt to “keep” him, or even was a message to the AP?

If it was planned, wearing a t-shirt that says “Oops! We did it again!” implies it was a result of a night of passion. Per her SM, she also had a shirt made that said, “All I wanted was a back rub.” Wearing this shirt with a baby bump implies he just couldn’t keep his hands off her.

Also, besides implying they had an active sex life that resulted in an “oops,” she posted & told people that it was all his idea. This is conflicting on the surface, but both send the message he was “all in.”

Now think about whom she would have wanted to receive that message, loud and clear?

In regards to the minds of killers, especially family annihilators; I would like to point out MacDonald. He probably killed Collette in a rage and injured Kimberly when she ran into the room. There was a moment of calm. A neighbor thought she heard someone either laughing or crying. It was most likely MacDonald. Sitting in the living room he saw the Esquire magazine with the Manson killings article. His mind began to work. Now, at this point if he had called for help, explained what happened, and explained he was a doctor who had had very little sleep in 36 hours, he probably would have gotten off light. He was a doctor and a Green Beret and it was 1970. Instead he comes up with the crazed hippy story and butchers his 2 year old daughter to make it believable! A very different kind of mind than most of us. CW May not be as intelligent as MacDonald, but his mind is just as warped!

The MacDonald Family was murdered in Fayetteville NC, where Chris Watts grew up and went to High School. I’m kind of location oriented. C.W. wasn’t around when those murders happened, but I’m sure they are legendary around Ft. Bragg and Fayetteville. I’m sure he must have heard about them.

Sorry if it's already been covered, why did CW have a babysitter on Sat night? Where did he go?

I would love to have a list of family annnihilators Who did not commit suicide, to compare with this case. .
This is the list I am working with now, and I continue to make changes as I read through the cases. I know you and many other posters here are more familiar with these cases than I am and I welcome any input.

Makes perfect sense !

No one knows for sure. My opinion is he went out with AP.

Maybe this is what sparked a row? Maybe the doorbell camera gave him away to SW and she confronted him?

Or she just thought the shirts were funny? I see similar ones around a fair bit right now - seems to be the current trend. I'd be careful reading too much into those things.

We told people we weren't actively trying... But we very much were (temping and tracking and all that jazz).

My SIL is now up to 4 kids even though they really can't afford them (also filed for bankruptcy)... But they wanted a boy so they kept going until they got one.

SW's social media was used to gain business. Not to say that there weren't real views of their lives in there, but she's trying to sell an image. Videos of baby announcements, Santa visits and chasing crying kids around to make them take a pie to the face all get likes and comments. Likes and comments = views and views = potential sales.

I know the"scripted" or not question has come up a few times. I can't speak to thrive or her team, but I'm involved in a different health and wellness MLM (strictly as a discount coach, I don't actively promote anything) and there are scripts provided by both the company and my team. Examples of posts that generate interest, etc. I don't know if SW was following a script, but her posts have the same feel to them as the ones provided in my FB groups.

This is a great point. He had been away from the girls for quite a while while they were in N.C.; they return & he gets a sitter.

9 people total.
Well, they did end up blowing themselves up, but one of the worst in N.C. history involved some old money blue bloods. Susie Newsome and her boyfriend and first cousin Fritz Klenner, annihilated her exMIL, exSIL, her mother, her father, and grandmother, and then Susie detonated a device and killed her, Fritz and her two sons. Tragic. It rocked the entire state of N.C. due to the prominence of the families.
You may have seen the TV movie “In the Best of Families” or read the book “Bitter Blood”.

So , if CW as a young adult liked to read about crime, this story would have been around.

Let’s think about what makes the most sense in this case based on what we know and what the ultimate tragic ending was. Common sense tells you he didn’t want that baby, and their relationship was not in a healthy place.

Excellent! I'm sure you're right. I have read the murders are legendary there.

This is something I've wondered about too.

My dad was stationed at Ft Bragg when Fatal Vision was released. I asked him once if that was when he read it, and he told me that everyone on base was reading it. He told me the MPs were having to really crack down on people driving by the house where it had happened because it was freaking people on the road out. But I also get the impression from him that it was a topic of discussion and was pretty common knowledge before then. He was there about 10 years after the murder (not too long after MacDonald was finally convicted) and a few years before CW would have been born.

The way MacDonald keeps trying to force his way into the spotlight every few years to get out of prison, I have no doubt that CW would have been aware of the case.
