I agree. I think it may also be some version of the 'just world fallacy'. People cannot wrap their heads around how something so horrific could happen to an innocent person that they find themselves looking for clues for how she might have — somehow — helped bring it upon herself. It's a way to distance themselves from the terrifying notion that, ultimately, this could happen to anyone. And she is totally blameless.

I just don't see SW and the kids disappearing, being his plan! She wouldn't leave her family or team and they wouldn't buy that she did! Go where? How would she support herself? No, I think kidnapping makes more sense and then they just disappear. He plays the grieving husband and father (we know how that would work out) and then goes on with his life.

It’d be interesting to know how the evening went that CW spent at the neighbor’s house. I think it was Tuesday night? What did they do all night? Sit around and talk? Eat dinner together at home? Watch TV? Did CW hole up in one of their spare bedrooms? Did he sleep through the night? Get up early the next day? Just wondering about that behavior.

IDK, but it sounds like he ate pizza. And maybe he ate a lot of it, as it appears CW's eating pizza was one of the things the T's seemed to note as his odd behavior when they gave their interview.

Yeah, I take your point. But to be honest I don't see either scenario being particularly believable to anyone: her leaving with the children or a kidnapping. He did make sure to plant the idea of the "emotional conversation" and her being upset before she 'vanished', which is a bit of a coincidence before the 'kidnappers' swooped in... I don't know if he even had a proper plan to explain their absence long-term.

They couldn't discuss the specifics of what was discussed with CW in case it formed part of the investigation.

However, they had pizza for dinner. They watched him on his phone, pacing the house. "He showed zero remorse". There was no doubt in their minds that he was innocent. There was little conversation and long silences. Nick and Amanda spent time on their phones and asked CW, "What about this? What about ..." A few things came up and they thought, "That's weird that you're not wanting to look more into that, that seemed like big deals". When they left the house they contacted the police and Amanda was interviewed by the FBI.

They couldn't sleep at night and just lay in bed thinking about everything. CW spent the night in the room (?)opposite their daughter. [Sorry I can't find it and it's very late)

People like him think differently than we do, so who really knows. I agree the "emotional conversation" does seem to be a set up, but where can he go from there? He also referenced; "bring them back" like someone had taken them! Maybe he just planned for her to have stormed out and never appear again. Stupid!

If he knows they have the ability to confirm he stopped at Hudson then he knows they have the same ability to follow the trail straight to the dump location. Even the poorest plan doesn't have holes that big.

If he had been able to put his wife in a tank too, they could "know" where he had been and in his mind at least, never suspect or find the bodies in there. Especially if the oil is dark. They could look in see nothing.

People keep saying there are cameras. But LE found the bedsheet apparently with drones. Not by asking Anadarko to view their cameras and not via warrant. So were there cameras? Do we know that for sure?

Regardless, it doesn't seem logical that he would know that and then lie for three days about their whereabouts. He would know he's on video throwing the bodies in oil and burying his wife (depending on camera angles).

It could've been a great plan. The alternative would be GPS would track his truck to some remote location that would lead LE directly to a burial site.

JMO. I think CW knew about the GPS tracker on his truck and that it provides data on time and location.

At this time, if I recall correctly, this is only an assumption and not a fact that the truck had a GPS tracker on it.

Only assumption by many people here on the threads. But not a fact that has been released in mainstream media or law enforcement, or Ashley Banfield!

Re: the video - he didn’t just admit to leaving at that time - he specifically admitted to backing the truck up to the garage to “load his tools”. To me, that suggests he either knew of the video or thought someone may have seen him.

I thought the three videos he did was a sticky at the beginning of the thread but I cannot find it. Or I cannot find all three in one post at the beginning of the thread. Can somebody bump that again please, thanks

I think C.W. may have known about the neighbor’s camera - or, at the very least, I don’t think it really changed anything for him.

The affidavit states that C.W. *said* he backed his truck up around 5:27a - which was confirmed by the neighbor’s camera. If he didn’t know about the camera, wouldn’t he say that he left the house closer to his regular work time?

Also - pretty sure I read somewhere SW comment (at least once) about C.W. going to work at 5a... and didn’t the male AP say something about meeting up with C.W. before and after work?

At the time of the porch interviews he was aware of the camera. It's unclear if he was aware prior to disposing of his family.

Iirc, the neighbor usually left early to go out for a run and saw his car backed in. He may have seen the neighbor running. But he did not know it was on tape at the time? A lot of stuff was mentioned on previous threads that between the three interviews, he learned the exact time and that he was indeed on tape, and that is why on the second and third interview he knew the exact time that was 5:27 a.m.

Yes, he may not have wanted to draw attention to those items being left behind but he knew he would be asked about them before long. Which could have been why he mentioned the idea that he didn't know "if somebody took her", just to cover all bases. I suppose he could always have suggested later that she left with the kids because she was upset, intending to return, but then at some stage must have met with foul play. Who knows... Doesn't make a whole heap of sense to me.

I would think most everybody here on the threads would be with their friends making a Facebook site to say find my wife, and start uploading missing posters and creating them with friends.

Versus sitting around and watching TV.

Perhaps that is why the friends called the police the next morning saying his actions, or otherwise his in actions, caused them concern.
