Does evidence sharing conclude before the arraignment? Except for what else is discovered as time goes on?

.

Not necessarily. It is supposed to be exchanged at the pretrial. But it often trickles to the defense over time.

Last night I was thinking about how CW told the detectives that he went downstairs before coming back up to discover Bella dead and SW strangling CeCe.

IF CW really went downstairs, could he have been going down into the kitchen to unplug the Amazon Echo so Alexa wouldn't hear him murdering his family?

Would Alexa come awake and record even if the Echo were turned off
or unplugged?

I know that Smart TVs like Samsungs can spy on and record conversations
of the homeowners even when turned off. I think cellphones can do the same. That's why Edward Snowden tells people to take out the cell battery and put the cell phone in the refrigerator.

I posted this link yesterday - it’s the Anadarko website.
It states they monitor their tanks and wells 24/7 and their vehicles are equipped with tracking.

Scroll to about the middle and you will see a photo of the 27/7 monitoring center.

Operations

Thanks for that. It answers something else. There was zero mention of cameras. They show none on the photo of what is being displayed at the command center. It seems to be data showing if there's a problem like an explosion? A leak?

Gitana, you lost your avatar right when Tricia got one. lol.
In trying to read as much info about the case, I've forgotten what the Nov 18th hearing is all about. Will the witnesses be called? Is it a pre-lim meant to give the judge just enough information that the evidence warrants a trial?
Then, the judge sets the trial schedule w/ the attys?

It seems like the trial is more like playing a strategic game than an honest effort put forth by both sides to deliver justice in a fair manner. Supposing the camera across the street captured a video of SW actually strangling the girls. Then what? Would a defense attorney ever advise their client to give it up and plead guilty?

At 3:44 in the second video, doesn't he say " that is why I left the house", referring to Monday night when he had all the lights on. Can somebody we listen to that am I just hearing that for the first time or miss hearing it? I never knew he left the house that night?
The Denver 7 one? I *think* he's saying, "That's why LAST night was just horrible. I couldn't do it." The 'last' sounds a bit like 'left' to me, if that's what you're picking up?

I hear "that's why last night was just horrible."

He did the interviews before the police (and detective) came to his house for the first time? I thought the media interviews were after that point in time.

Within the interviews you can hear them talking about the police dogs that are there at the time, and the road is lined with police cars. all of these interviews were done on Tuesday

In the past week, the names of up to four women have been posted on closed internet forums as amateur sleuths race to work out her identity. Three of the four names put forward as CW’s possible mistresses are long-haired brunettes like his wife while the fourth is a blonde, married family friend with young children of her own. Some of the women worked alongside CW and SW as brand promoters for Le-Vel while one is employed with Anadarko Petroleum where CW was an operator.

A forensic profiler has detailed chilling personality similarities between CW and Scott Peterson.

He says CW presents as a less charismatic version of Peterson. “There are very clear personality connections between Chris (Watts) and Scott Peterson, except for the fact that Chris seemed to be less outgoing and is not as dynamic as Scott”.

There are “key factors” that could “lead him” to allegedly murder his family and hide the bodies.

“There was an incredible amount of debt; the couple was irresponsible in the way they were spending money,” he said. “All the fundamentals are there for this kind of behaviour — the financial stress and stress in the marriage.”

Plus a few new pics.

Rumours fly over killer husband Chris Watts’ secret lover

Scott Peterson at least bought Amber Frey strawberries and champagne.
CW took one of his Tinder dates to Chick-fil-A and pizza parlors. She said they met 3 times a week. How did CW have time for these hookups? It must have been when he said he was going for a 2 hr run.

There's a discovery process. Usually it's given at the pretrial hearing.

What's scheduled next in this case?

Status Conference November 19.
Video shows man charged in family's slayings giving a presentation on relationships
Watts waived his right to have a preliminary hearing within 35 days. A judge set a status hearing for November 19.

If anyone has any changes for the Watts house floorplans (2 images of the 2 floors) that I revised from the ones PommyMommy posted, let me know
by replying to my post at the front of this thread.

Was Bella born in this house? There's a video of her purple bedroom with a black crib and black vinyl decals of a chandelier and her name above the crib.
I wasn't sure if that was their rental house in CO.

Just for clarity, one neighbor witnesses his truck running and another neighbor's camera captured his truck backed up and leaving that morning. I think there are posters (not you) who may be confusing the two separate accounts.

Next-door neighbor BM observed his truck running at 5:15 am because she was leaving for the gym, which she did regularly on weekdays. She said something to the effect of that being unusual, or that she had never seen him leave that early before.

Neighbor NT's camera showed his truck backing up to the garage at 5:27 am. and leaving shortly thereafter. CW said he was loading tools, then left for the Hudson job site.

Why tell them I loaded tools and then left for the Hudson site? Why not just say I left for work at 5:30 am?

Oh, so Nov 19th is a status hearing.

The home was purchased April 30, 2013.
Bella was born on Dec. 17, 2013.

What I could find in your link says,

"Company vehicles are equipped with tracking devices in order to quickly deploy resources "

To me, I'm not reading that 100% of their company vehicles are equipped with GPS in the statement ( If 100%, does that mean their sales people and their CEO and their upper management have GPS also? I'm reading it as a statement as to deploying resources for some of the vehicles, but not 100%, including the field folks.

To me, I'm not reading that trucks that are field service organizations are equipped with GPS in the statement.

To me, it's like chemical companies and other companies. Perhaps this is stating that the trucks who move the oil, are available with GPS to move the resources for when the oil needs to be moved.

Everyone reads things differently, so at this time, I'm not taking it as a fact that his truck had GPS. Just my background I guess and why I don't read it the same as you do.

@gitana1 - if you look closely at the photo of the IOC- integrated operations center— go to the top right hand monitor of the bank of monitors-3rd top from right- it appears that monitor has seven/ eight screens and some appear to be camera shots. It would appear they can pull up a camera live view- maybe when an alarm goes off??
Gonna look at it on my giant monitor tonight.

Still concealing at that point. If he knew that the neighbor's camera recorded his departure at 5:27 am, he had to know it also recorded him loading trash bags in the back seat. He wasn't ready to tell what was actually in them. Tools sounded better than bodies. ?

But we do know CW had his cell phone because NU called him at work, and he answered, so with or without truck gps, CW was trackable.

Because CW had killed his family and loaded them into his truck. He was covering for the fact that he had taken trash bags out and may have been seen.
There was a big deal about his tool box (I believe that was attached to the truck's bed). It's big enough to fit the girls' bodies crammed in there.
