What if he suffocated the children with a pillow and then placed Shan'ann's hands on their necks and place his hand and fingers directly on top of hers and squeezed to make the bruises match her fingers. Remember how insistant the defense was on wanting DNA evidence from the neck? I Originally, I thought the crude would destroy that, but it wouldn't have if he had placed their bodies in bags and dropped bag and body in the crude.

This. I posted earlier about this possible scenario. Creepy...

The door to the garage/house was unlocked. The keypad to get into the garage was broken or something. So they couldn't walk in because they couldn't get in the garage.

Keep in mind, that the video that we saw at Christmas time, when she walked out into the garage door to get something out of the car, had the alarm system talk to her. We saw this in the Bonita Springs case where the alarm company downloaded and knew exactly how long the door was open/ and when the alarm codes were changed. If he was taking out bodies it would have been longer than just opening the door to go outside to load his tools from the garage to his truck.

I wish more people would come forward whom knew CW pre SW.
Ex girlfriends, maybe some ex co workers. Lots of silence :(
I did know him pre SW. I think people are silent because if you say anything in the lines of supporting him you get a lot of hate.

I don't think a mod will delete a post, just because someone reports it for 'disagreeing' with someone. I think mods only delete when a post is against TOS.
Yes, I have never once known of a post being deleted just for not agreeing with someone else. There must have been another reason.

Gitana1 - listening to the radio show now. WOW great job.
I agree with you ALL.
I really can't wait for the trial :)

Thanks! I'm kind of dreading the trial!

I agree. I don't find it believable that he may have killed one child by accident, then panicked and killed the other one to cover it up, then panicked even more and killed his wife. It makes no sense to me. If he wanted to cover up accidentally killing his child, he wouldn't need to eliminate the other in order to do so. Especially with children that age. Jmo
He could've killed the second child because she witnessed the first child being killed and could tell. Plus panic.

But yes, it's not known that he did that.

I’m really picking up from you that you disliked SW. Is it possible for you to explain why without giving away too much identifying information? I do have an open mind to what you’re saying, I do think you’re being honest, but all I heard from friends of SW before you came to WS was great love, admiration, and appreciation for what a wonderful friend and mother she was.

Thank you @Amandaaa for a great post. Glad to have you with us at WS. I’m also pleased to see you do not suffer from confirmation bias & are able to look at the whole picture.
@MerryB you are my favorite! :)

In your opinion only do you believe at the time of their marriage that CW was genuinely in love with SW.
Or did he just go with the flow ?

I ask this because as I walked down the isle during my wedding I knew it was not right. My ex was a monster and yet I did and to this day I can't explain why I married him. Anyway after I married him I went onto have 2 children with him. :( :(

That's the problem. A bunch of people are dead, and given that he didn't bother to try to save their lives via 911, after that, given what he did with the bodies, anything at all is plausible. Because it's all so implausible.

I have no problem with differing opinions, in fact I am interested in them. I do have a problem with the use of videos to pick SW a part and a few other things, but first. My mother was married to a monster, my stepfather, for over twenty years. For about the first 15 years of their marriage you would not have found anyone to say a bad word about him. If there had been videos, he would have been the quiet one gently smiling in the background and, yes, you would have heard her make some digs at him. In private, he never abused her physically that I know of, but the emotional abuse was devastating! It changed/ruined her life and greatly effected mine. Insults, degradation, almost all holidays ruined. He had a neat trick with the holidays, he would nitpick, insult, pick fights, refuse to entertain and eat with guests when they arrived, etc. Until my Mother was almost a basketcase and then. . .when guests did arrive he was was Mr. Charming and she was pouting or sulky and everyone felt sorry for him! After about 15 years the mask began to slip and people finaaly began to see him for what he was and finally started to support her. She also entered therapy, which greatly helped and finally led her to divorce him. Even after the divorce he intimidated and harassed her. I won't go into details, for one thing it still hurts, but suffice to say; I know very well that there can be a facade and life behind the facade can be so much different! Also, his family (mother, 3 sisters, and brother) were all as bat crap crazy as he was and would defend him with their last breath, except for one sister, and they would excoriate my mother and anyone else. He also had friends that truly believed that he was the "good guy" and would say so. He could charm people when he wanted to, at least for a great while. If anything had happened in that first 15 years I have no doubt everyone would have been shocked because; he was so quiet and nice. And they would have pointed out my Mother's perceived short-comings.

So, sorry for the venting, but I know first hand about hidden secrets and ugly behavior. I know things aren't always as they seem. I also know that even monsters will have supporters who will tell a pretty story. I think I have a pretty good and valid idea of who and what CW is and what he did. I'll listen to other ideas and opinions, if they offer some substance, but I haven't encountered any yet that would change my mind!
I know the type: your Mum was married to a "street angel, house devil," and glad to know she is living a healthier life now. Good on you to recognize it, and support her.

The defense attorneys are sharp and are not messing around. I hope there’s a gag order soon. I have a link, but I don’t care to go get it, but one of the prosecuting lawyers commented on sm. She stated he’s a monster. Well, duh.
Really? thats not only damaging to the prosecution, it is also unethical!

I don't know. I've been looking at various online discussion grpups and the amount of support for him and vitriol against Shanann is pretty intense.

And everyone who knew him who has spoken to the media thus far has expressed how he was a good husband and father or a nice guy, smart student, and they're in shock. I'm not seeing any "hatred" toward any of those people who have had positive things to say about CW.

I mean that's the whole reason this case is so shocking and has so much attention worldwide. Like most family annihilators cases, we have a man who seemed like a decent family man and a good father and/or husband.

Over and over we've seen this play out.

Neil Entwhistle.
Scott Peterson.
Ross Harris.
Mark Hacking.
Chris Coleman.
Jeffrey MacDonald.

Too many to list.

They were all thought to be wonderful, upstanding people who were devoted to their families.

If this were a case where there had been restraining orders and lots of loud arguments, criminal histories, drug and alcohol abuse histories, like most murder cases, it would not have as much attention.

Family annihilator cases are particularly horrifying precisely because there's typically really none of that. It seems to come out of the blue.

The real commonality however is the discovery, typically, of a secret life on the part of the defendant. Usually an affair. Sometimes more than just an affair.

This case specifically fits the pattern. It has been established that Chris Watts indeed had a secret life that belied the picture he presented of a loving family man.

I have no doubt that most of what could be said about CW prior to this case would be positive. Just like it was for all the men listed above and more.

To be fair, CW is charged with five counts of first degree murder after an analysis of the evidence by law enforcement and the DA. We have three videos and witness accounts of his behavior both directly before (Sunday barbecue) and right after the murders.

His behavior under the circumstances coupled with the charges and his reputation as a good dad previous to this is, I think most would agree, bizarre at best and compares with many family annihilators/murderers from past cases like Neil Entwhistle, Ross Harris, scott Peterson, Jeffrey MacDonald.

It makes sense that people would seek to find some sort of psych issue to explain what he's accused of doing and his behavior as we've all witnessed.

On the other hand, SW has been accused of nothing by LE and the charges belie the story CW would have us believe.

She has lots of close friends who've been interviewed and attest to her character. There is zero evidence that she harmed her children.

And yet, despite all that, there have been incredible attempts to diagnose her based on a few cherry-picked videos among hundreds she's posted, and even things like photos of her closets:

1. OCD
2. Hypochondria.
3. Drug abuser.
4. Borderline personality disorder
5. Narcissist.
6. Histronic or even allusions to Munchasusen's.

The list goes on.

Under the circumstances - five counts of first degree murder, no lesser includeds charged, glib lying and smiling in interviews after the horrors that occurred in that house, etc., which do you think is the more reasonable reaction?
BRAVO! very well said.

Any prosecuting attorney who went on social media and made such statements would have a bar complaint against them and be fired.

It's nonsense, IMO.

No, the original poster of that has said numerous time it was error on her part. The quote is attributed to Mollie Tibbet's prosecution lawyer.

I don’t like that he can’t be prosecuted for the death of baby Niko. It really disturbs me.
but he is. I think the prosecuting team were really creative using legislation they did.

If true, that's a ridiculous, and damaging (to the case), thing for a prosecutor to say on SM, I'd also like to see the source.
would they not be reported for breach of ethics?
