Yes. Let's clarify what that means. That means that the judicial system cannot deem him guilty and must afford him the rights of an innocent citizen until such time as he might be found guilty.

That does not mean that anyone outside that system cannot use their cognitive abilities and critical thinking skills based on what is known thus far and form -and express - an opinion as to his guilt or innocence.

Unless we are the judge or jury, every person on the planet is free to find that Chris Watts murdered his entire family, long before trial even begins.
Yes!! Thanks for saying it. ;) He's found guilty by public opinion.

It is interesting that he held himself and rocked like he did in the porch nterview.
Yes, that could be nervousness or anxiety, too. I guess the reason I brought it up and compared it to a presentation of Scientific Method or something, is because he seemed to be separate from what he is saying. As if he himself does not grasp the concept himself but is just reciting it. Does that makes sense? It's hard to explain.

Hello everyone,
I am new to this site but I am interested in this case. I am a surgeon and have seen many people die from a variety of reasons and have never seen someone get ‘blue’ so quickly. However, i am aware that asphyxia from strangulation can cause ‘blue’ discoloration or cyanosis rather quickly, even when the victim is still alive. It is usually mild, so it is hard to comprehend that CHris Watts would have been able to see his daughter being blue on the monitor. I really think that is implausible

Also, i think it’s great to have verified friends and family of the victims speak up about their experiences and all but at the same time their opinions may be based on the experiences they lived with the victims or the murderer. Their opinions do not equal truth, at least to me.

This is such a heartbreaking case. Plain sad. Children that will never grow up, a healthy smart women that will never see another sunrise. Families shattered, and the perpetrator, not the victim here will live in a cage for the rest of his days.

I pray to whatever gods or energies exist that justice prevails. And that the trial is fair for those that cannot speak because their lives were taken from them.
Yes, I agree. As a nurse of many years, I have seen circum oral cyanosis but have never seen anyone with a full blue face.

Welcome @Clement86 , and I second what Gitana1 said!

No. Indeed that's not what I'm saying. He has not been found guilty by the legal system and if he is it will be after due process and his right to present his defense and his story.

Those who have formed strong opinions of his guilt or innocence will not be picked for the jury.

Yes! And why do we have to keep saying it over and over again? This is a crime sleuthing board. We try to find clues about the crime.

When people can’t see past their own beliefs in order to objectively evaluate information or allow others to perform inductive reasoning, they have confirmation bias.

Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's preexisting beliefs or hypotheses. People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way. The effect is stronger for emotionally charged issues and for deeply entrenched beliefs.

People also tend to interpret ambiguous evidence as supporting their existing position.

Here is a link to all of SW's videos on her FB. They appear as thumbnails.
You can recognize certain events from the still frame of the video. You have to be logged into FB before clicking on the link or it will
show you the "Whoops can't load hand."

Thanks. For some reason I still can’t get that one to show up. And I’m not positive it was a FB video.

If someone has the diggity dog vid easily available let me know. Otherwise I’ll keep poking around.

Love your profile : "Overachieving at over analysing everything. " You've certainly come to the right place- WS

Thanks I don't think my husband loves my over-analysis at times lol

Paraphrasing but it was the part about a baby could strengthen the relationship. He read it off and then said something like 'I don't agree with that'. Why would you disagree with something you, yourself had written? I am not sure that you are supposed to copy and paste from other sources for your own presentation are you?
Unless it it technical or expert tracts and then, shouldn't you cite your source?
Oh, yes, I see what you mean. But I think it's very common and normal not to agree with theorists. I don't agree that a child will necessarily strengthen a relationship either, so that makes sense. If the presentation was a paper he had written, then, yes he would have cited his sources. You don't have to reveal them during the presentation, usually. Imo at least I never did!

Was the verified user present during the supposed pistachio incident?
i think answering that in the affirmative may reveal an identity, so it unlikely to be answered.

Then it seems that CW might have broken the garage door keypad intentionally so he couldn't be tracked.

We are talking about two different doors.

The one I was talking about was from the house to the garage, when it opened the alarm system talked and said the garage door was open in the Christmas video.

The one he was referring to was The Garage Door pad on the outside of the building outside of the garage doors or you put in a code to open it, the garage doors that raise when you want to move cars into it.. Two different things.

I'd like to see them too. The only ones I found of the family were the Christmas one and the water bottle one.

the witness list (on the affadavit) is, as far as I am aware, from the prosecution side. It also isnt the final prosecution witness list. The defence has not, as yet, filed their witness list.
But witnesses, as far as we know, aren't talking.

Catching up from the last thread:

“MerryB said: ↑
Wow. You suspected SW lied about or exggagerated the children's health issues?
What about her own?
Thank you @Trinket78”

——
Response: “I have also wonder about that.”

So now wondering about SW exaggerating her medical problems??? Really????

I’m on the autoimmune spectrum myself. She seems believable to me. To even insinuate this is just...

I especially related with what she was talking about in her video. Some people not understanding because you look fine on the outside.

. . .snipped by me...
I am keeping an open mind (without my brains falling out in the process).

jmo
This has been an overload for most of us IMO. Every twist or turn brings another idea to the table it seems. Will my brain make it to trial in a year or so?
MOO

Friends of the suspect, just like friends of the victim, can add color and clarity to the overall picture. What they can’t do however, is change the damning facts against the suspect.
Well said. Kudos!

People also tend to interpret ambiguous evidence as supporting their existing position.
And both sides of a discussion can have confirmation bias, not just the side that you disagree with.
