Thanks for that. That matches with many family annihilator types. Scott Peterson. Neil Entwistle. Mark Hacking. Chris Coleman. And on and on.

Fits the profile I wrote about in a previous post.

Quiet. Good. Didn't stand out much. Didn't get into trouble. Didn't show signs of volatility or anger.

Also "not a lot of girlfriends" seems to match as well.

I know the leading British criminologists in the field, who are the US ones?
I know links have been posted way back but I'm wondering who the leading US researchers are, because it's a new field, research is fairly recent.

ITA. If CW had planned this in advance as many believe, he would have disposed SW's body someplace else along the way. It was an incredibly remote area. Disposal of all three at his work site is a reflection of panic rather than premeditation. JMO

Agree, Belle.

Glad that you here!

OMG!!! Horrible thought! Doesn't the affidavit make it pretty clear they were already dead?
I had to go look. You're right, it says the crime(s) were committed at that home address but with no COD. I was thinking that there was no verification of that. I wonder how they know that all 3 were murdered there. And not that maybe only 1 or 2 were.

It seems clear to me that he chose that place for a reason, and the reason had to be the oil tanks because what other reason would there be to risk burying them at his place of work? He had to have believed those bodies wouldn’t be discovered there for a long time, if ever. It doesn’t make sense that he planned to place 2 in the tanks and 1 in the ground, but for some reason, he couldn’t get SW into a tank. I read, when this first happened, that this particular location was going to slow down on oil production for awhile. Can’t remember where I read it, not sure if it’s true. I’d like to find out.
The whole thing doesn't make sense.

NA called the police. I don’t recall people being offended by that. Where was that stated?
Her facebook page. She had to block posts for a while.

I agree and I have every intention of still posting my observations. Unfortunately when you are in the minority it is quite difficult to be heard over others who don't share your views/observations. I have witnessed many say they are hesitant to join in the discussion as their theories are shot down, ridiculed and lost in the midst of others trying to prove their point. Essentially being drowned out by the masses.

Ok, I will admit I am pretty set on my current belief that CW was a family annihilator. Our reasons for feeling this way have been posted repeatedly.

So for those that believe he is telling the truth, and he caught an image of his wife killing his daughters on his baby monitor, have at it. Convince me.

Seriously, I am sincerely asking. What are the reasons you feel he is telling the truth. I do really want to understand.

Also something about " going with the flow" not talking about this case, but one thing that people with ASPD tend to do, is " change themselves'" or their views, depending on the relationship or situation. I believe Scott Peterson became a vegetarian when he married Lacy. After Lacy died, he started eating hamburgers again. What this reminds me of is the fact that CW stopped wearing his skater clothes and began wearing the clothes SW preferred him to wear. It's just one example, and of course I could be way off, but this is something I noticed. But we do have all the other things you mentioned, and of course the more obvious; lack of guilt, remorse, shame, deceitfulness, lying, and the apparent ease in doing so that we have witnessed. Jmo

Right, and I think that's why so many find it especially disturbing that they were hidden in oil tanks. Burying someone is pretty standard but throwing them into an oil barrel seems especially cold.
It wasn't a final resting place, by any means. If he has half a brain he knew that they'd be found sooner or later and have to be moved to a real final resting place by relatives who cherished them.

Yes, I think writers were painted by a wide brush with a color someone else picked out.

Okay, that doesn't make any sense, lol.

I am now understanding that there was a misunderstanding of the conversation and I also think people are taking what is happening on other online discussions and applying the vibe here. I'm not on the FB discussions and didn't realize until today that SW is vilified elsewhere. I think people simply musing over ideas here on WS got lumped into the "SW is a villian" category without our knowledge (or at least without my knowledge). I wondered where the strong reactions came from.

jmo

I do think there were a few SW is a villain type of sentiments shown here.

I stepped back from the thread a while today and considered CW's version. I tried to have an open mind. I did encounter a major problem. Almost everything gives the appearance of "self-preservation"! Okay, CW sees his children dead and dying and goes into a rage, but he does nothing to try and help the children or get them help. If the children being in danger caused his rage and response, why didn't he do anything for the children (911)? According to his confession, his attack on SW was immediate and with rage, but there is no mention of defending the children, just punishing her! After her death, it is all about self-preservation; moving the bodies, hiding the bodies, where he hid the bodies. the false trail (calls and texts to SW's phone), and the lies. He loved her so much he wanted to protect her reputation? The woman who had just killed his children? A woman he cheated on? Wouldn't subduing her, giving aid to the children, and calling for help have gone further in protecting him and the family and limiting damage to her? Getting her psychiatric help? Of course that is what an innocent man would have done and I just can't convince myself he has any innocence. Self-preservation is the response of a guilty man!

I do believe there was rage and that he wanted to punish her. I think that's the only truth he's told!

I came on here because this just personally interests (and dumbfounds) me... I had no intention of verifying myself, and no intention of even posting anything.

And look where that got me... I’m hopelessly addicted and keep !coming back :)
Welcome, Amandaaa -- you are in good company here -- we are all justice addicts here -- justice for the little ones who cannot speak for themselves and who sometimes have to depend on mean and selfish people every day, for the ones who seemed to have no way out of a bad situation, for the ones who were simply in a bad place at a bad time, and so many other sad situations.

We stand together as silent witnesses to things that are impossible to explain or understand. Some folks here lend their professional skills to answer questions, etc. So, IMO, you are mixed in with a good bunch of folks -- a first-class forum which has good, solid ideals and rules for making this a "clean" place to ponder, ask/answer questions, etc., etc. We have amazing Mods who keep us from going the wrong way and who protect victims, who set-up continuing threads for us, and who have WS Magic to improve/fix things, etc., and to keep us within the Terms of Service that we all try to follow.

And we are always happy to have another "good one" with us! ;)

finding the ignore button has helped enormously :)
Except for the reply quote issue, yes. ( I used to roll& scroll but...)

Someone mentioned separate threads a few pages back....

anyway, you said earlier on that you also had some kind of legal training and that you were outside the US but as per the VI, you don't have to answer any of that. (I am in the UK btw)

So many questions. . . . .and not enough answers, yet!

I don't like the separate threads idea. Why just have an echo chamber?

I know. I spend way too much time trying to remember what we know, what we don't know. For me, if he had just killed them, and blamed his wife, or if she really had killed them, I don't think I would be so obsessed because had he called 911 I think it could have been proven who done it. For me it's what came afterwards that throws the monkey wrench into it. And, the oil, well I already said how I feel on that.

Not by any doctors or professionals. Someone suggested the videos were evidence of Munchausen by proxy, that may be where it came from and the topic may be off limits.

I'm not sure why the topic would be off limits. The DA has asked for CW's prints. The ME may have discovered old bruising on the children indicative of child abuse. MBP is a form of child abuse and CW has accused SW of harming the children. JMO

When did CW accuse SW of harming the children?

I forgot that possibility, but why would he think that would be logical, that she would take her garage door opener but leave her purse, phone, etc behind? Obviously, IMO, he knew no one could get in, and that's the way he wanted it until he had time to set the stage the way he wanted. IMO

You just took the thoughts right out of my head and put them into words! :p
