As we ask questions about CW, the patch, steroids, other meds, I believe we should ask the same about SW. What was her state? Everyone has basically admitted here that the home was not as happy as SHE made it out to be on social.

I have watched numerous videos of Bella and CeCe, and those girls were happy and confident in every one. Shannan glowed with pride when she was with them. There is no way I could believe she would hurt them, She clearly adored them.

If SW killed the children, and he killed her...why hide the bodies and cover up HER crime? In our society, it’s the murder of innocent children that is considered the most heinous of the two crimes. Why wasn’t he on the phone to Police...”my #@$* wife just murdered our kids...OMG...and I’ve killed her?” Why wasn’t he in their rooms, devastated...when the police found their bodies...instead of loading up corpses and riding for miles to dump those babies in the most disrespectful way?

If SHE killed them...and he reacted out of horror and grief...how could he treat their little bodies that way?

Either way he would have been blamed. He chose the worst option of two bad options.

It was a huge red flag from the beginning that CW left his home and asked to stay with friends when his family was missing. If ones family is truly missing, one would be glued to the spot they were last seen alive awaiting their arrival home. IMO

In terms of the debt they owed ~ would SW having chronic lupus and a child or both children with chronic illness/illnesses as stated on SW facebook page, topped with the high risk pending pregnancy and medical care/fees, would not they have acquired additional medical costs since their bankruptcy filing July 2015? I am not in the USA and I am not familiar with medical coverages or costs but did CW have medical benefits or were these medical costs accumulating and out of pocket expenses. If so, they were already in debt for $740 to Choice Recovery in Columbus, Ohio, for health and chiropractic services; $1,301 to Kaiser Permanente for medical services; and $2,612 to Good Samaritan Medical Center at the time of the bankruptcy filing, July 2015. Since the filing in 2015, their second daughter was born and I don't know how much that costs in USA to deliver a child.
I would assume that they incurred additional medical costs for their second child.
What I wonder is if these medical expenses were increasing along with other expenses, so to would the anxiety. However, it seems that with the bankruptcy Chapter 7 filing in Colorado, if approved by the court, allows debtors to hold onto and keep making payments on assets such as a house and car but offers a “fresh start” by eliminating other debts, according to ColoradoBankruptcy.com. Did SW and CW get that fresh start and cleared on other debts? or was it still accumulating?

I think the bankruptcy was for debt from their wedding. If you look at the pictures they may have had a big wedding.

Yes, the three of them are victims. She has been accused by a man who cheated on her, who lied and laughed about his family's disappearance, who dumped his children in dirty crude oil and is not here to defend herself. He has lied and lied. How could you believe a word he says.

Regarding how he keeps saying he saw the girls in the baby monitor - he keeps referring to how he saw them, even if the story around the viewing changes... he saw them asleep, he saw Shanann choking them, blah blah... I think this part of the story "I saw them through the monitor" is concocted, and he's sticking with it. He wants to lock in that the babies were in their beds at this specific time, as they should have been, maybe to draw attention away from the fact that they were NOT in their beds, and that he was responsible for removing them from their beds.
"I saw them in their beds as I left for work" - so he could not have been responsible for hurting them, could he? He wasn't even in the same room, he saw them through the monitor.
It's an eerie reversal of Jeffrey Macdonald, who bludgeoned his children to death and then tucked them back into bed (he had to carry one daughter from the main bedroom where she was actually first assaulted) as if he was trying to make everything look normal except for the fact that the children are dead.

I couldn’t agree more. From what I’ve heard, the police believe the children were dead by the time Shanann came home from her trip. That’s why they are charging him with murder for all three instead of buying his disgusting version of events. It just goes to show his true vile character. He has no regard for human life. They were all just objects to him that could be so easily discarded once they got in the way of what he wanted. The press keeps on saying they can’t figure out motive. It’s so completely obvious: we are dealing with a sociopath or psychopath who doesn’t feel empathy or guilt. He could easily kill all three of these precious lives and not bat an eye. It’s been reported he grilled out on the night it’s suspected he killed the girls. It’s all about what chris wants and needs. Chris was hungry, so Chris grilled out. He could care less that he just took two lives. I believe the motive included his borderline personality disorder which made this extremely easy for him to do with no remorse or regret. I think baby #3 was going to cramp him style and get in the way of him catting around. I think he thought he could get away with it and collect insurance money and wipe away the mounting debt he had. I wouldn’t be surprised if the mistress had knowledge or was involved in some way. She was married as well from what I’ve read. So, they sound like two narcissistic peas in a pod. If he already killed the girls before SW got home, he was lying in wait for her to get home. I believe she was killed in close proximity of entering the house, probably once she found the children dead. This whole thing is just so tragic, disgusting, infuriating, senseless and sad. I will say this, nothing will affect Chris Watts except his image. He will not feel guilt or remorse. He will continue to lie, we cannot believe ANYTHING that comes out of his mouth. My prayers go to all those affected by this! It’s just so incredibly sad! I wish she would’ve stayed in NC and left him at that point!

I have been following along here, trying to keep up with all the posts, all the details. Try as I might to understand and comprehend how this could have all happened, I am totally stumped. It is so very scary to me that this happened with and to such a normal appearing young family. They were together for..eight years? Frankly, I am so bothered by this case, every where I see people I wonder to myself if they could do this too. I don't want to become paranoid over this, but I am totally spooked. That said, I am going to unfollow this devastating thread. I'm glad they have this creep in custody, and I do hope he gets the death penalty. I am scared by his calculated evil. (60 year old widow here, always trusting strangers and acquaintances too much..). Thank you all for the excellent coverage.

I’m a licensed Realtor in another state but I can pull the deeds for their home in Colorado. I see they purchased directly from the builder on 4/30/2013. The purchase price was $399,954 and they obtained an FHA loan in the amount of $392,709 At the outset, everything is in CW’s name holding title as a “married man”.


Then on June 4, 2013 a Quit Claim Deed was done and the title shows SW & CW as joint tenants.


It makes perfect sense that at the time they filed BK, the loan would not have decreased. $400k sounds right on.

Oh my goodness! She liquidated her separate property (sell of HER home), put it into this house (most likely), and solely put him as the owner on it!!! What was she thinking! Does Colorado have separate and community property, or how do they divide stuff up if a couple divorces?

The jurors will have access to all the evidence, something we dont have and can still tell CW's stories (because there have been multiple) dont add up.

LE seems confident in their charges and I'm confident in LE.

Neither were dx'ed with that as far as we know. SW was internet diagnosed from looking at her sm pages, which pretty much look like lots of other peoples who sell Thrive.
