I am curious to see what CW's family and friends have to say about him. So far we have not heard much on his past so I find it hard to assume so much of his personality when I have nothing to go on.

Early articles all stated he came at end of the 6wk. vacation.
Her sm said she left Co. w/ her dad and 2 girls to fly to NC.

Everything I've read (as per SW facebook posts and friends comments) shows CW in NC for the first week of the vacation, then he heads home, and SW and the girls stay on for another 5 weeks. She said he was going to be a "bachelor" for 5 weeks, and she planned on deep cleaning the house and preparing food for that time. She was staying on to visit family and friends.

Didn’t he have to climb stairs to drop them in??? He couldn’t have done this with SW.
The fact he drove to this place should be enough for anyone with doubts that this was PREMEDITATED... JMO

MOO: google narc cheaters and you will find that they almost always cheat financially. (Hide assets, go in debt showering gifts upon themselves and their affair partners) it looks to me like she was trying to gain some emotional and financial support to leave. Her family was across the country, what family court would allow her to move that far away from him? How could she afford to support herself and children on support and meager earnings? (rock, meet hard place!) I refuse to think badly of her trying MLM or her spending habits. nothing justifies his actions.

My take on the video from the NC vacation (not that my observation is more astute than anyone else’s here) he appeared to be fully engaged in texting with his AP. I do hope his phone shows this when IT forensics digs in.

Again MOO: C.W. had about a dozen other options besides cheating and killing. He just didn’t want to. And like most narcs, they think they are special, above the rules and smarter than everyone else in the room.

I hope he is haunted and his soul tortured for eternity.

Yes, my first thought reading the article was the photo looks intrusive, like a paparazzi shot. Very strange.

In the women's defense, I don't think she was intending to be intrusive and I am glad that there is proof that CW was there on Aug 2nd in Martyle Beach and also with an indication of his demeanor ~ plus you can see how disinterested he is in the picture and looking down at likely is his phone. I think SW was so vagarious and a social spirit that they just struck up a conversation in line.

I've never heard of this site, so I hope it is an allowed link. Neighbor heard dogs howling the day the family disappeared. Neighbor lived two houses away.

“He was barking up until the cops took him away,” H. told Radar about the family dog this week. “Someone must have gone and got him later.”

“It was like he was being punished, or hurt or something. He was just howling. Because we had a dog, I said ‘What the h*** is that all about?’

“So, we called the police and asked him to check on the dog. And it turned out that he was okay. They did a wellness check on the dog.”

Good point because the ground out there is like cement, they hardly get any rain and it is sandy and hard. They call Colorado the high desert for a reason. My friend that lives out there says she misses the dirt from back home.

In every photo of Shanann except for when she’s with her children, there is no light in her eyes. The smile is being forced out. I can only imagine the stress of her life... that man would have been a monster to live with if he is capable of what he did. Normal men don’t snap in the very cold way that he did.

I thought his (or someone’s) statement was that the door from the house to the garage was the only unlocked door. I believe the reason he had to return so quickly to meet NIckole was to open the house for LE as the “code” lock on the garage supposedly didn’t work.

I’m new here and trying to learn the rules of what can and can’t be posted as references, and learning how to do things like add links or photos. I’m hoping to figure this out ASAP so I can add to my responses.

I honestly haven't seen a single post across any of the threads where any poster has said what he has done is justified, by anything. Think everyone's in agreement on that.

Similarly, I don't think anyone thinks badly of SW for trying MLM.
Have noticed OTOH, that quite a few posters think badly of MLM per se, for the many reasons already posted. I agree and am only just finding out about the MLM way.

This is my first time posting but have been registered a little while, I find this a fantastic site for reliable and informed discussion, so thanks to all. Like others have said, I feel compelled to post about this tragedy like no other case before.

I wonder if he had become somewhat obsessed with his mistress following their six week, complication free holiday together.

Perhaps she discovered SW was pregnant and said she wanted to finish things between them. He on the other hand had just had a six week taster of being free of responsibilities and with a possible house repossession on the horizon and the threat of his extra curricular activities being brought to a close, he killed his entire family to get rid of them. He could have walked out but that would not fit his new image and he would still have responsibility to his children. No, he wanted to be footloose and fancy free.

I believe he thought this out in advance but did not get sufficient time to finish his plan. His new found physique gave him confidence but thankfully no intelligence. Had he got away with it and walked off into the sunset with his mistress, who knows what could have awaited her in the future when the gloss wore off their relationship. Perhaps she is financially well off and he saw this as a way of starting over again. Regardless, she has had a lucky escape imo.

I have seen people distraught having run over a dog, his entire family is wiped out and he does not shed a tear. I cannot recall ever having seen anything quite like his reaction. At his hearings in court he looked as calm and collected as his Attorney. If it were not for the orange suit, one could wonder who was on trial.

I hope SW's family find some comfort in the knowledge that she is now free from this monster and will be forever with her beloved children.

Regarding the lady who took the pictures in the bungee line. Some of us may find that strange or uncomfortable, but SW's entire livelihood depended on her outgoing personality. She was her brand, in a sense. And she seems like she'd naturally be a friendly, engaging person anyway. So I don't think it's strange that it happened, but I do think it's a bit odd that this lady needs her 15 minutes. CW in repose is certainly intriguing in it, though. Could not be less interested in anything other than his phone. Perhaps he'd hit a new high on Candy Crush?

Am I the only one who is already tired of the phrase "emotional conversation"? It reminds me of "conscious uncoupling." And we've only just begun to hear it and wow, the definitions of "emotional conversation" are going to come fast and furious.

Usually they kill the dog too so glad it survived.
When they interviewed the neighbors they said that SW's family called them and asked them to take care of the dog until they could get out there. It really is all they will have left living from the whole family that mattered because as of right now they might be thinking DP for CW.

Thank you! I’m happy to be here, although under such unfortunate circumstances.
In the arrest affidavit, the second paragraph of the Narrative section it states she reported that at SW house her vehicle was in the garage and car seats inside.

Prior to the affidavit being released, numerous MSM released conflicting reports, some even stating that SW car was in the driveway, and various versions of Nickoles story upon arriving at SW house that day. I tried not to let the car/garage/window height nag at me until there was some kind of official report about the location of the car and how it was noticed. Now that the affidavit is released and specifically says that NIckole reported the car in the garage with the car seats.... just not jiving with me.

You're doing fine, rabbithole. It takes time to get it figured out and a lot of us are still learning, myself included. It's always best to ask a mod if you're unsure whether something is allowed or not.

There may be conflicting reports about the door. My memory is a little foggy this morning, but I do remember him saying that the garage was unlocked, because I was shocked when he also said that was normal. Didn't make sense at all.
