Someone is distributing many many sympathetic childhood photos of CW which are ending up on sites devoted to blaming Shan'nan and using her videos to spread rumors and say cruel unsubstantiated things about the victim.
It won't succeed. IMO you see these kinds of campaigns if you look for them, meanwhile the rest of the world is oblivious and only sees the mainstream news.

Before Banfield, he went on Reddit, and twitter, and posted some of his texts that he said were between him and Chris. There is no way to really verify them, from just looking at them, online. So people were saying he was phony. People said it was a hoax. Partly because he was also talking up his business enterprises, as a stylist and make up artist, etc. So it seemed like he was exploiting the situation and could be fake.

When he appeared on Banfield, I thought she had been scammed by him. On his first appearance, Banfield said prod users could not verify him. ? A day or 2 later, they said they did verify the texts. I was still a bit weirded out by him, that he was posting all the texts and sharing all the details, literally days after the murders.

here is an article that originally said producers could not verify him. That is when I first decided he was a troll.....

"A man claiming to be murder accused Chris Watts' lover called up a livr news show in the US and alleged they had an affair after meeting on a gay dating app.

Watts, 33, could get the death penalty if he's convicted of killing his wife Shanann, 34, and girls Bella, four, and Celeste, three.

The man, who did not give his name, called Crime & Justice on HLN and told host Ashleigh Banfield that he and Chris had an "instant" connection as soon as they met.

However, Ms Banfield admitted Crime & Justice could not independently verify his story."

Man claims he 'dated Chris Watts after meeting him on gay dating app'
Good information. Thanks. I didn't know all of that. I still believe him though. lol I think CW was capable of nearly anything at this point.

It takes a long time to strangle someone. I'm pretty sure he had time to think. If he didn't kill his girls, there was no reason not to seek help for them. IMO
I posted an article on another site written by the journalist who Christian Longo stole his identity. Longo gave him a detailed interview of why and how he killed his family. Longo said after strangling his first child it was so horrific that he could not strangle the other two so he put them in suitcases and drowned them. To strangle 2 children takes a mind that is even more callous and twisted than Longo’s.

I think it also shows he wants to have control. I was quite surprised by his application tbh.
Oh definitely. He wants to control everything just by the amount of court filings. He will soon find out, hopefully, he doesn't control anything in prison.

Today, well yesterday actually as it's well past midnight, we had the Melbourne Cup, the race that stops the nation. Tomorrow y'all have the Mid-Terms, the election that will stop the nation. Get out and vote.

I'm looking forward to seeing lots of posts in the morning about the status hearing. Night night.

Oh I know, I was answering a post which said CW's family has "said nada".

That is just so underhanded and despicable to me. I guess it is to be expected, and I have my theories, but still. So disrespectful to Shanann and her family.

Do we know he didn't talk to LE first? I know on that Bandfield transcript it talks about how LE confirms the story (not exact words but something like that). It seems that show and LE have seen the texts. IMO do I think it's odd he didn't tell LE first, yes, but does it really matter?

BBM I think it would matter a great deal to someone who does not want that part of his life exposed. Apparently, if this is true, CW DEFINITELY wanted to keep this part of his life "hidden."

Absolutely true.

That’s why even taking his story at face value, his actions make no sense.

You kill your wife, let your kids die, and then coverup the crime so that you won’t face any repercussions from it. Who thinks like that? Who behaves like that?

A killer does.

It’s convenient that he attempted to destroy the very evidence that would have exonerated him in killing the kids.

We hear killers say all the time:
“I covered up the crime because I knew that nobody would believe me.”

Right. We don’t.

As I was dialing 911 for my son, the thought that I might be accused of hurting him (or, more likely, my husband would be accused) DID run through my head because, well, I watch a lot of television and have written many true crime books. However, that tiny voice was waayyy down at the bottom of the priority of my thoughts. The need and desire to call the paramedics to potentially "save" him took precedent over everything. Even when LE entered my house and started taking pictures of the scene and interviewing me in the hospital, it occurred to me that we might get in trouble. I was still 110% glad I dialed 911.

Let's say I buy his story for a second. *Maybe* he freaked because he knew that while he didn't kill the girls, he DID kill their mom and brother. He knew that, either way, he'd still be in trouble so he panicked and didn't call anyone...Nah, still doesn't add up. As a parent, I still think his priority would be to get medical help for his children.

I find the control subject interesting. SW stated she was the dominant one in the relationship and from her SM it appears she was more of a controller than CW was.

I will believe him when the incriminating phone messages that he says he has, are confirmed by a reliable source. He either has them or he doesn't.

Apart from that, which I agree with, there is no way a light bulb suddenly came on in his head: ah, yes, throw them in the CRUDE OIL tanks.
IMO he had to have rolled that around in his mind for some time.
If, as apologists argue, he was scared, upset, afraid of blame, in shock, whatever....no way would the oil tanks have suddenly popped into his mind.

I agree, CW is not directing those filings, his lawyers are.

Yes, I agree. I don't feel like the disposal site was a last-minute panicky decision. I think he'd thought of that before.

If this is true, and as you pointed out, they are not being shown on mainstream media - why would any of this be relevant? Surely, it would only be an issue if such disclosures tainted a jury pool? Also, I am not quite sure how childhood photos could be viewed as sympathetic? All kids photos are cute - or do you mean there is an attempt to humanise CW by the release of such photos?

If control is his issue, or one of his issues (I think there are probably many), then that would fit with him giving more than one 'porch' interview, wanting to improve on his first. He did start off the second interview by talking and then saying of course he would take their questions too, which is indicative of him controlling the narrative, fearing he might not get the chance to include those details.

Yes.
His final insult to them. Only the most sadistic person could ever come up with that
way of disposing of them. He must have really despised his children.
