Good morning folks.

It’s a beautiful day here in NOCO-local time is 9:15am, so 4 hours and 45 minutes until this status hearing.

If this is true, and as you pointed out, they are not being shown on mainstream media - why would any of this be relevant? Surely, it would only be an issue if such disclosures tainted a jury pool? Also, I am not quite sure how childhood photos could be viewed as sympathetic? All kids photos are cute - or do you mean there is an attempt to humanise CW by the release of such photos?

I think the OP meant that someone must be sharing those images (personal photos that don't appear on the social media sites) so while the family may not be speaking out right now, they're still finding ways to communicate about the case online.

If control is his issue, or one of his issues (I think there are probably many), then that would fit with him giving more than one 'porch' interview, wanting to improve on his first. He did start off the second interview by talking and then saying of course he would take their questions too, which is indicative of him controlling the narrative, fearing he might not get the chance to include those details.

I think it's likely CW did the interviews because he was pursuaded to do them. I don't think he wanted to do them. I also didn't hear him controlling the narrative of the interview.

Good morning! How will we know what happens, if it's not televised? I'm pacing, already!

The part I referred to was right at the beginning before they'd asked him a question.

There will still be traditional print type media - just no cameras or video.

BBM I think it would matter a great deal to someone who does not want that part of his life exposed. Apparently, if this is true, CW DEFINITELY wanted to keep this part of his life "hidden."
I’m talking about the guy that came forward and not caring who he talked to first. I wasn’t talking about CW.

I posted an article on another site written by the journalist who Christian Longo stole his identity. Longo gave him a detailed interview of why and how he killed his family. Longo said after strangling his first child it was so horrific that he could not strangle the other two so he put them in suitcases and drowned them. To strangle 2 children takes a mind that is even more callous and twisted than Longo’s.

Christian Longo Murders - Death Row Execution Policy

What a horrid question I just asked myself. Would I rather die of being strangled and blacking out before I actually died, or would I rather die choking on water and be fully conscious during the whole time and then blacking out. Just horrid.

I believe it was either the Jodi Arias case or the Caylee Anthony case where they used a very young picture of her to present for the jury, and it was disputed very much and they had to change it. Because they were trying to make the jury sympathetic using a very very young photograph of the defendant.

ETA I now remember it was the FCA case.

I see what you mean, and I wholeheartedly agree. :)

About CW's team not allowing media in the courtroom today, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't his team pretty much shrug their shoulders and say go ahead and release the autopsy because the jury pool is tainted anyway? Paraphrased.

I find the control subject interesting. SW stated she was the dominant one in the relationship and from her SM it appears she was more of a controller than CW was.

Yes, yet strangling her was the ultimate form of control, wasn’t it? And then exercising the unearned authority to toss your family in oil tanks and a shallow grave in the middle of nowhere, robbing their loved ones of the closure to know what happened to them, give them a ceremony, be able to visit them. Now THAT to me is a very sick, abnormal desire for control. Even if you believe CW, he decided that night to be a doctor, an executioner, judge, jury, coroner, funeral director, and evil doer to let even his own family suffer the “not knowing” (that by his own words in media interviews was the WORST part of the family missing) for the rest of their lives. All to save himself. This man controlled the knowledge and would effectively sentence others to endless suffering, searching, anxiety. So in the end, who was the abnormally controlling person?

I'm missing something here, how would SW be able to influence or take charge of court filings? Even if, as you maintain, that she was a "controller".

I know, it is beyond comprehension. He actually only put the one daughter he strangled in a suitcase, she was still alive though. His other 2 children were sleeping in the back seat, he tied rocks to them and tossed them in the water.

Maybe they'll allow one of those court artists to create colored chalk images of him in his cute orange jumpsuit and manacles.

I didn't say SW was influencing the court filings. It might be helpful to go back and read my post.

Oh definitely. He wants to control everything just by the amount of court filings. He will soon find out, hopefully, he doesn't control anything in prison.

You answered a post about CW influencing court filings, with a dig at Shan'nan, who he killed. Which is why I asked you how she could influence court filings now.

BBM as does their mother
Of course. I didn’t include that because there is no question as to who murdered her. My post was responding to a comment about the children. Let’s not be antagonistic here.

Hi all :: wave! :: I've been taking a good long break from posting, but I've still been reading. I find that when I post I get too emotionally involved and I also start stressing that I need to hurry and reply to anyone who might have quoted or replied to my posts :D

Looking forward to hearing about the outcome of today's court appearance.

In the meantime, I do have a question about the baby/Nico. In this ABC interview:

Video: Friend of Colorado woman allegedly killed by husband speaks out (Although it's having a hard time buffering for me right now.)

NUA says when talking about the scheduled ultrasound appointment that SW was going to hear the heartbeat of "he or she". That's always confused me. As SW's bff why did NUA not know the sex? Because another friend of SW (LA) tells NBC news in this article that SHE knew it was a boy:

Colorado mom and husband described as 'perfect couple' ahead of alleged murders

Is it possible SW didn't know the sex yet? They had the gender reveal party scheduled for that weekend, but why did some people after their murders say it was a boy because they apparently already knew and others like NUA, her bff, not know? I'm just confuzzled.
