Hopefully! But to be honest I believe many of his "supporters" will blame her anyway. There are people out there who believed that he really killed them all but put the blame on poor Shannan anyway. So... I don't believe it will really stop. But it's a real good beginning!
I bet it stops here, anyway.

Oh wow!!!!!!!!

Wow! Didn't expect that. Great, great news for the families. I'm so relieved, I can't imagine how they feel. Closure I hope.

I'm assuming that the Defence requests for DNA evidence from the autopsies didn't come out as they'd hoped, probably incriminated him so he was advised "this isn't going to end well, take the plea ...... you may not get parole but at least you will avoid the DP".

I was willing to keep an open mind, I hope we hear opinions now from Websleuthers that were on both sides of the fence??

RIP Shanann, Bella, Celeste and Nico. Justice prevails. Take him down......

Mods, can we update title of thread, or need to wait?

Not yet. We need to wait for official word after the hearing. The recent tragic case of Darnell Gray taught me not to rely on Twitter.

Chris Watts pleads guilty to total of 9 counts for the Murders of his wife, 2 daughters and unborn son #kdvr All of this less than 3 months after the crime. Incredibly fast by most legal standards. I’ve never seen such a high profile case conclude so fast. #kdvr

I’m so glad that he saved the family the agony of a trial, and plead guilty to every single charge.

Not that there was ever a doubt of his culpability.

I just never saw this coming.

I agree that he did not want his own dirty secrets to come out in a trial. I still have questions, especially related to some of the defense motions to seal information concerning Health and jail visitors. I am using voice to text, so please forgive the mistakes. Also, when he agrees to a plea deal, does that mean he has to admit to law enforcement and slash or the court what he actually did? I think there is even a term for that semicolon when a person admits in court on the record what they did in order to get the plea deal. I can't remember what that is called.

Press conference coming!

I feel like crying. For Shanann's family.

They lost everything but they don't have to suffer the indignity of a trial and the continuation of the disgusting things said about her in an effort to absolve that monster of the crimes he committed.

God bless them. I'm relieved for them.

I am glad that both sides of the families won’t have to endure the further torture of a trial. I hope CW gets the lengthiest sentence possible so that he has to live with the guilt of what he has done every waking minute he is alive, he should never be released.
How could anyone get parole after copping to 4 violent felony deaths. Does that happen?
Does anyone know if they dropped the 2 felonies concerning murder of the 2 kids under his care?

Thank God!! This post made me cry even harder!
Me too. I am so relieved that her reputation can be restored, and that her family can mourn their loss and hopefully feel more at peace not having to be dragged to trial every day.
I recall the terrible toll the trial took on Travis Alexander's family in the Jodi Arias trial.

Dear Gitana,

If I feel such great relief, I can't imagine how the family feels.

A trial would have added years of unfathomable pain and suffering for the family and thankfully this will not happen.

Thank you, Gitana1, for your advice and explanation of legal terms throughout these threads and most importantly for your deep compassion and genuine caring.

WOW. This is great news, but I guess we'll never know exactly how it happened. Now maybe the victim blaming can stop. I hope ShanAnn's family is ok with this development.
