If I could do one thing for Shanann's family and friends, I would delete every outrageous, slanderous, and baseless accusation made against her, so many times couched with the caveat of "exploring other possibilities" and "I'm on the fence." Imagine losing your only daughter, your two precious granddaughters, your expectant grandson, and having to read a bunch of psycho-babble about her closet, some spray bottle fun and a Santa Claus video. Where is the outrage for someone who crammed the bodies of his beautiful 3 and 4-year-old toddlers into oil tanks?! Where is the disgust for someone who admittedly strangled his wife and unborn son to death and hid them out in the dirt to rot?! Instead, these apologists chose to attack everything from her parenting to how many pairs of shoes she owned.

I can’t even imagine the pain from the enormous loss this family has suffered, much less how they have endured the despicable behavior of people on the internet who never even knew Shanann or her family. These people are appalling. I know CW’s cult-following, fan club, or whatever you want to call “it” is not a first. I mean heck, Charles Manson, Ted Bundy and Richard Ramirez all married after being convicted. There are some sick people in this world. MOO, JMO, IMO

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

I believe both of the Menendez brothers married, one of them twice?

I think CW and Jodi Arias would make the perfect couple.

The Nancy Grace podcast (linked earlier today) reports that he sobbed as soon as the judge addressed him on the first count and between every plea of guilty. Not just Cece. Where did the report come from that he only cried at the plea for Cece?

I’m looking forward to SW’s brother’s impact statement (if he decides to speak). I’d give CW two earfuls.

I wish they would let her brother in a room alone with CW for a few minutes. That might make an impact statement, IMO.

I am one of those people who saw the words Plea deal on my news feed and instantly thought Oh No! Normally that involves some major concessions by the prosecution, reduction in charges or the like, that you often end up feeling like the prosecution just got manipulated and cheated . But when I thought back to the first time we saw this Prosecutor, I had an immediate feeling of security with him, that he felt as I did that CW had crossed a line with the killing and hideous disposal of his children, that he was never going to concede anything to him. Had I been on a Jury I would have chosen a death sentence, since I believe the penalty should match the crime. However, this plea gave the same result that would have been obtained through the ordeal and uncertainties of trial, so to me it was win/win. As far as allocution - waste of time IMO, it just gives a murderer a chance to vilify his victims and their family one more time. Just lock him up.

LOL! Actually, yesterday I was discussing with a friend about how interesting it would be to put CW, Jodi Arias, Scott Peterson, Jefferey MacDonald and some others together in a room and watch them for a while. See how they interact, what do they talk about, etc. We both thought it might be very revealing or a long, hostile silence!

I want to know why he thought his defence wouldn't succeed. I think it may be his disgusting disposal of the girls bodies and that he was able to raise a smile and a chuckle the next day.

That wide smile! He was happy to be free of all his family. So scary.

No, complaints of how unjustly they were treated by their exes.

There were also those who were blaming AP for the murders. It appears to me that it is often WOMEN looking to blame other women. It’s unfortunate to say the least.

Women blaming other women for having relationships with their husbands who, they know, are married and have kids, is easy to understand.

Yes I agree. I got so sick of hearing about keeping an open mind and being on a fence. That equated to saying I understand what he did, but I am hoping we can find some dirt if we dig deep enough, that might prove she probably provoked him and thus deserved her fate. They saw that he lied about everything, but held out some sadistic hope that he might be telling the truth about her killing the girls.

Sometimes, if I allow myself to go there, the enormity of it blows my mind. Most of the time I compartmentalize these cases so that I can deal with the why and how it happened aspects. I just had one of those mind-blown moments and I tried to imagine if I knew in advance that one of my children would die tomorrow, say they had to be taken off life-support or something. I can't even go further with that thought and try to imagine all of them dying tomorrow. That is what he did. He knew before. And afterwards, he didn't miss them. He tossed them away. No one can tell me that there were no signs of his selfishness or whatever, I can't even find the words to describe his mentality.

I could not agree more. After the plea they seemed to take it personally, they have a need for her to be responsible. Excuse after excuse of why he might plead guilty and still be innocent.

I found it hypocritical. to say the least, when there were self-righteous comments made about "presuming CW innocent until proven guilty", while those same statements along with ignoring facts and evidence of CW's guilt, PRESUMED SW guilty! Now we know the truth; CW is totally guilty on all counts! SW is totally innocent.
