There are literally thousands of marriages that deal with those exact same stresses - they end in divorce not murder. All you mentioned is irrelevant.
I also think about half the people in the country live beyond their means. Or at least a great deal of people. Not to long ago there were 17 million homes in foreclosure, that should tell us something. The Watts family probably were facing the same kind of problems many do, it had nothing to do with the decision CW made to strangle his entire family to death. Imo

Sorry...I meant the machinations of the plea deal.
It's been reported that the defense approached the prosecution with the plea deal. I would love to know what the defense explained to CW as to what he was facing.

They’d have to communicate on his level:

“Like dude, you’re like screwed. You’d better like plea, or you’re looking at like, a death sentence.”

I would be surprised if he hadn't signed it. Nov 19 is just sentencing. He has done his pleas of guilty.
Actually now that you say that, I think someone posted pics of the doc and it had his sig. Thx!

Oh how I'd love to know how it all went down. Who approached who and who said what first. :D
He most likely researched alot of things online that proved premeditated thinking.

So, what does CW do over the next 8 days? Meet with lawyers? Meet with family and friends? Think about if he’s going to say anything, and if so, what? Stress out? Panic? Cry? Sleep? Just sit there?
I hope he doesn't have access to lawyers who, like in that video, say he was "punked".

The problem is, no one can predict what people have by merely reading about them, nor by watching videos offering snippets of their lives. Also, no one is a one walking diagnosis. He could be cluster B, or cluster A (avoidant), or a mix, plus certain social issues, anxiety, and then, something else. On the other hand, his personality traits might be flattened, not enhanced. We have no information from specialists. We don't know if he was clean/sober, or substances were on board. We know nada to diagnose him.

I can see he was not the greatest speaker, and his actions indicate that he could not imagine the consequences of his acts, because he obviously thought the story would end differently, so there is a major thinking flaw somewhere. Also, he was born without morality in the bigger meaning of this word. But this is all. In terms of prediction, his story so far gives us very little.
I think the "thinking flaw" was simply that he thought he could outsmart everybody. Typical sociopathic behavior. Imo

And then you will be, like, nobody. Nothing.

We don't know whether or not he searched online, but if he did, how stupid. I'm always amazed, Anthony case, the people don't understand they can be traced. How can anyone in the right mind (that might be the key) imagine they can online search how to strangle someone, how long does it take, where to hide a body, etc., and not get caught? Humans never cease to amaze me, and not by their brilliance.

Scott Reisch points out in his video (Was CW Punked?) that practically speaking there was zero chance of him getting a death sentence carried out in Colorado. So what kind of threat was actually hanging over his head that led him to capitulate so quickly?
I keep having this nasty feeling that it's a setup for a later 'ineffective counsel' appeal.

but he pointed out that possible necessary evidence could be destroyed. I thought that fellow was a little optimistic in how cw could have burned sw in a trial based on home movies but looks like he won't get that chance.

Lets not forget that Mark Sievers had 4 different life insurance policies on his wife totalling 2 million dollars. But he only mentioned 2 policies to detectives.

Which reminds me that some killers will research payout clauses online and also try to add additional policy upgrades.

I doubt that he’s thinking that far ahead, or that an “ineffective counsel” claim has any chance of working.

We’re all aware of the realities of the death penalty in Colorado, and it’s certain that his lawyers, and likely CW, were also aware.

That’s why I never saw a plea deal coming, as the DP isn’t really a legitimate threat.

I think come sentencing day, we will learn things that are so incriminating, that even CW saw the writing on the wall.

I think a conviction would have been a forgone conclusion, and he wanted to save face in regards to his dirty laundry being aired.

The threat that he had to sit in a courtroom and all of his dirty secrets would come out and he would have to hear them in front of people.
They probably still will come out, but he will not have to witness it.

Chris Coleman sent the threatening emails to set the stage for his families murder from his own computer, it is mind boggling .

Struck me as odd that evidence would be returned but I was thinking along the lines of his phone, truck, personal possessions etc- is that normally the case that evidence is returned or destroyed after sentencing?

I’ve no clue. I think Scott Reisch found it odd. I’ll have to watch it again.
