I don't know. I would hope they'd feel bad. But are you seeing what they're saying elsewhere on the internet about this? Many still believe SW is evil. Destroying him from the grave. She's still guilty. He just pled because he was forced to by an inept defense. And because he knew he would get life anyhow (b.s.), and he's sparing her name or some sort of nonsense.
None of their logic and deductions made sense. Every time you’d confront them with a fact that disproved their theories, they would ignore you. I don’t see why they would change their tune now that CW’s plead guilty. They’re not in it for truth, compassion and justice, they’re in it to stir the pot.

I doubt it, too but what if he does? Won’t that be a powder keg?

He can't just change his mind. He has to have a good reason that satisfies the law to do so. I laid it out in the podcast if you're interested. It wouldn't be easy for him.

What could be in those autopsies that is so bad to have kept them sealed?

I’ve wondered since we first heard they were to be sealed and since CW took a plea, it makes my suspicions stronger.

I am afraid to mention anything because I don’t want a TO.
I imagine many of you may have the same thoughts. Time will tell.

I don't think so. I don't think that DA would agree to hold anything back in exchange for a plea.
I agree about the DA and I believe your assessment of the DA has been correct from the beginning. I didn't mean holding back, in terms of evidence, but perhaps testimony that would impugn CW's self image and how (he believes) his family sees him. No trial, no testimony.

I expect those people who wanted to believe CW’s story are feeling quite bad about it now as I know I would. Hopefully it’s a lesson learned for them and they will be able to spot a family inialator (hope I spelt that right) when they see one, god forbid this kind of thing doesn’t ever happen to anyone again ! I think also because these types of murders are quite rare, some people just cannot or refuse to believe a man would murder his family , a seemingly on the surface normal looking man.
I would hope some of them are but their silence and refusal to post how terribly misguided they were rather says some of them are still refusing to admit their error in judgement. At the very least I hope a few of them have realized they are not good sleuths. Finding clickbait and forums designed to reel in people looking for fantasy and woman-bashing rather than fact-based information is not exactly the goal...

It was exceedingly disappointing. It seemed like hatred-fueled gossip belief by the fact that exploring possibilities and being on the fence is not the same as always arguing for the side of the defendant and using irrelevant nonsense to do so, all while steadfastly ignoring the massive, grinning, well-rested, body concealing, lying elephant in the room.

It seemed illogical and cruel.

But amazingly, conclusions motivated by hate can be incredibly strong even when not based in rationality. People were pretty certain when news of a plea leaked that it was going to be guilty to less than what was charged!!

People actually looked at the face of that DA, reviewed the facts extensively, including the lying, grinning and concealment of baby bodies, and still concluded that the autopsies must be in the defendant's favor and the state was going to just quickly capitulate with no explanation.

That was surprising to me.

IMO it speaks to the power of hatred. At least for some.

Poor Shanann. Everything was taken from her. Her babies lives. The breath from her body. AND her good name as a wonderful mama, a strong survivor and a decent human being.

I'm sad for her and her family. I hope those who joined that bandwagon will try to analyze why, consider the source of some of the nonsense and feel some degree of shame.

The hatred was for another woman, one who was going forth, leading her life, one who "seemed" to have it all. The hatred, IMO, came from other women who didn't have what they wanted, weren't as pretty or as smart. The thinking is - if we can tear someone else down, we will raise ourselves higher. Not true, of course, but when you are a woman without (won't say what I'm thinking) much in life, you get your highs where you can - at the expense of someone else.

If there was something indicating another crime he would be charged I think.

I look forward to what the Judge has to say to CW. I also hope SW's brother Frankie speaks.
I look forward to the judge's remarks as well. He's well-educated with a good record. I hope we're able to get transcripts of the proceeding quickly.

Wasn't it December?
The hearing was scheduled for 12/21/2018 9:00 am, Div 4, but one of the Assistant DA's said the reports would be released following the sentencing hearing.

"In an email sent Tuesday, Assistant Weld County Attorney Karin McDougal said the county would release the autopsy reports no more than 24 hours after the sentencing hearing is complete Nov. 19."

I’m not sure about what CW might have said to convince Shanann that he wanted to have another baby. Obviously, he didn’t. It struck me as unusual how many people she told that CW wanted this baby more than she did. I think in healthy relationships both partners should want the baby equally. I think Shanann loved him so much she wanted him to want and love their family as much as she did. It made her feel good to think that he loved her that much and to tell people he did. It was probably all unconscious, but I think deep down Shanann knew he was cheating because she told her friends, but wasn’t ready to let in the pain of the truth sink in, and it hadn’t become conscious, yet. She was proud and it made her feel good to think that he loved her that much. CW didn’t deserve her beautiful love.

I think she felt that he would be happier than her because they were finally having a boy that he could male bond with.

But its obvious he really wasn't happy with the pregnancy.

Thanks so much, I missed it by a day (blush). I remember some people here despairing that it was so close to Christmas. Now it's the week of Thanksgiving. At least it will be over!

Scott Reisch said that on the 19th CW could say he’s had a change of heart, he wants to withdraw his guilty plea, his attorneys rushed him into it, it wasn’t a full voluntary decision, even though he said it on record, to please disregard that. Why does this criminal defense attorney say that could happen? Not likely, but it’s possible.

I was under the impression that the sentencing hearing was to hear CW plead guilty to the nine counts so he then cannot at a later date say, hey, I’ve changed my mind. Inadequate counsel, etc.

I will listen to your podcast tonight.

The DA's office indicated the autopsies would be released following the sentencing. The civil case will be closed in that event. I'll see if I can find the press release.
