Given that (IMO) we can count out the lawyers as sources, who would benefit from spreading the idea that "his life was over after he killed Shan'ann" ie IMO no one would believe him anyway. (no mention of the kids).
OH BOO-HOO! the idea that "his life was over after he killed Shanann" is ridiculous beyond words! Shanann's, Cece's, Bella's, and Nico's lives were over WHEN CW murdered them. All of them. CW is still alive, still living a life, just not the one he wanted.

Nuttmegg, I'm not railing at you, I love your posts. I'm railing and ranting at the quote.

Shanann loved CW and did a great deal for him in all the ways she could think of to do. Cece and Bella loved and trusted their daddy, you can see it in videos and photos. Nico was a new life blossoming toward being born. CW murdered them all because they were in the way of a life he wanted to live. He knew it was bad, he knew what he did was abhorrent, he knew all of it was wrong, and he didn't care! He did it anyway, because it served his sick, twisted purpose! . Why would it matter now if he had a defect? (He IS a defect) I believe he was properly informed in ALL facets of the case, on both sides. I believe he made an informed decision. I believe he has been treated more than fairly. Why does the "poor CW, it wasn't his fault" train keep running? What will it take to finally derail it?
Common sense. Critical thinking. Logic. MOO

Can CW's family contact him at all? Or do they have to go thru the PDs? I still don't believe they didn't see or talk to him for 3 months. Whomever put that out may have wanted to make sure they didn't take any blame. Talk to Chris? Nope, not me.

He's not in solitary. So he is allowed visitors. His team probably advised against meeting with family though because the meetings would be recorded!

But he apparently has met with them now.

He may not want to meet with them either. Can't face them.

Can this be true? Can they destroy evidence because of a plea deal?

I am still catching up on previous threads here. The video these comments are coning from, is it an allowable WS source? I know he is a lawyer, but are there any other links that say similar about destroying evidence that can back this up?

If evidence is destroyed, it would not be available if further searches are required, of matters, unknown today.
In the East Area Rapist, DNA evidence of the rapes was destroyed, after the required time (not linked to any Plea deal).
This would now be invaluable, in trying to link these cases.
Apparently, some were kept, and now have been investigated.:):):)

IMO it will never fully derail. There will always be people out there who will think he was coerced to take that plea deal. Likewise, there will always be people who think he took the deal for altruistic reasons (to spare SW's memory or his family a trial). And then there will be those who will believe that he DID kill the kids, but will continue to blame SW for his actions.

The good news is that as time moves on, those voices will get smaller and smaller until one day, when people look back on this crime, they won't even hear those voices at all and he'll always be remembered as the man who killed his little girls and pregnant wife.

Sorry if I'm snarky today. The whole "poor CW, save CW" movement is getting to me today. I'm thinking Mexican lunch with a margarita.

So true. Thank you, I needed that.

It wouldn't. They believe he's innocent and are trying to come up with an explanation for his bizarre, guilty, post-crime behavior.

They're trying to say he acted that way because he has a disorder. Not because he was guilty.
Is there a link to these Watts family explanations?

I'm posting this after a lot of thought and with my husband's permission of course, all pertinent names and some specific details changed.

My MIL is a classic FA mom. Scary, but true.

I think it's so important to explore the mother/son relationship in FA cases. I firmly believe it's a large part of what is instilled these "men" to believe the wife (and children) are disposable at some point. I believe there are a lot more moms in the equations than sons, because the stereotype of the MIL not liking or approving of the DIL is so prevalent. You have to have the perfect storm of the son who has a certain personality type, personality defect, mental/emotional issue, or ability to detach and become an extension of mama rather than a man in his own right.

My husband is a brilliant, dynamic, hard working, creative, funny and very manly type of man with strong opinions and beliefs of his own. It wasn't always that way. He went through so much with an overbearing mother who did very well at trying to create a clone of herself and erase any of his own thoughts or personality, using a combination of guilt and manipulation. This is a man who, at almost 30, did not know how to pick up his own prescription from a pharmacy and thought he had to have his mom call his ex-gf to get her to refill it then have his mom come and bring it to him. I'm not exaggerating.

They finally went through a major break and he checked himself straight into inpatient rehab for counseling and alcohol treatment from trying to drown out his own existence, suppress the growing anger, and do what she told him to do. It was ridiculously painful for him. He said over and over, if I stand up to her she won't love me anymore. I see how he felt that way at the time. I think she loves him too much, if anything. He had ZERO voice, would tell anyone what they wanted to hear to avoid conflict, and it took him years and years to figure out who he was. She wouldn't even recognize him now. He's the head of our household and we're a team, but I let him lead. And it's sad, because as an independent grown man he's just incredible and she's missing out on that.

The scars are still deep, and the break from his family has been clean for over a decade except for the one sane, supportive family member he has which is - wait for it - his Dad.

Of course the only thing that supposedly changed was marrying me. But it's all or nothing to her and he can't do the dysfunction. So I'm evil, his distance and free thinking is my fault, etc. She tells people it's like he's dead now, and that I stole him and brainwashed him. (?!?!?!) If anything ever happened that HE caused, I 100% guarantee my MIL would say, "My first thought was, 'what has she done?'"

His younger brother went the opposite direction. He married someone who stood up to mom, let the wife take all the flack for it, then when mom had enough of her, they divorced her. They. We joke about it now... that Mom and Joe divorced Jane. Because it's true. Every lawyer appt was led by her, paid for by her, custody worked out by her - she had kept notebooks with lists about every fault and every argument with every ex they ever had for "evidence, just in case of future custody battles". They divorced the first wife who ended up eventually getting him to terminate all rights to their child so she could escape the BS, then he found a 2nd wife who is meek, agreeable, and doesn't mind all 3 of them in the marriage raising their son. Bingo. New family. Level Up.

I very much hope that a book is written about CW, this crime, and the family dynamics behind their marriage and his upbringing. I'd like to know what made him how he is. How he's wired. What was beneath the surface of that agreeable man who learned to be a pathological liar by default because being himself wasn't going to be accepted. When he started to become resentful inside. When the mask became more and more of a mask. What made him snap and dispose of his family instead of becoming his true self. What all was so contradictory that he was hiding. And was his true self just a psychopath or narcissist regardless, and the FA mom just formed that perfect storm?

I really would like details and backstories about how this went down. And like others have stated. I'd give a whole lot just to know what the conversations with his dad were, both in the car, then at the police station. I think if there's a glimpse of who he really is anywhere, it would be when he's with his dad.

All JMO, thanks for the indulgence of listening. Thought it might be interesting to hear about the FA mom and effects on the sons from the inside of things.

It is great hearing your story.:):)
Your husband is lucky meeting such a strong person as yourself, and now having his life back, being himself.
Your husband and you are a great team.

@dixiegirl1035 thanks for posting the signed plea agreement, I hadn’t seen it yet. I noticed the decease date for the girls spans the 12th -13th, goes with the theories that he killed the girls first before Shanann returned home
Can someone point me in the direction of the plea deal document? Thanks in advance.

I missed the MSM link. Can somebody throw it up here on the threads as even yesterday somebody was asking if he had a sibling.

TIA
I asked if he was an only child. I definitely wouldn't risk a slap for sleuthing family.

It did not. He never filed a motion not to record the visits with psych experts. He filed a motion to have his visitor logs themselves, sealed. So no one would know what experts visited.
Thank you, that's what I thought too.

Fer sure! I needed a break too. Ballantyne hotel for kahlua/coffee and burger, in the cold rain. It helps to think about something else for awhile. :) We have our freedom, so enjoy!

Y'all are probably sick of me mentioning Ross Harris, but that's exactly what he said after he found out he was going to be charged for leaving his son in a hot car to die. There are lots of other similarities between them like hooking up with random men and women for sex. I wouldn't be surprised if CW turns out to be a sex addict as well and has similar texts to these:

7 keys to the Justin Ross Harris trial
The woman had posted the following message on the social media app Whisper: “I hate being married with kids. The novelty has worn off and I have nothing to show for it.” She went on to say she felt unappreciated and resented her husband. Harris wrote back, “I love my son and all, but we both need escapes.” He wrote this just minutes before he strapped Cooper into his car seat for the last time.

Minute-by-minute updates in the Justin Ross Harris murder trial (Oct. 24)
Harris tells one he is addicted to sex. He tells another he "hates being married sometimes, too." He tells another he misses being single. He tells another that "my wife should divorce me." He tells another "sometimes I want to be unmarried." He tells another, on May 19, 2014, "Wish I was single." That was a month before Cooper's death. He tells another, on May 23, "I settled down. Kinda regret it." He tells another on May 28, "I'm a bit miserable, too . . . No sex (in my relationship). You?" He tells another, on March 14, "I'm tired of living with my wife sometimes, lol." He tells another in January 2014, "I miss being single. ... I just want to (expletive) a lot of girls, drink a lot and have fun." He tells another in February, "You don't need a baby. It's not easy, and expensive. . . . I love my son, but that joker drains my paycheck." He tells another, in February 2014, "I have sex with strangers to block out a lot of my pain. ... I like it with strangers." He tells another "I have a sex addiction I've acted on. I kind of regret that."

I'll bet CW also hated his job like RH. Being an operator at Anadarko must have been a dirty and rough job and a far cry from his dream of being a top NASCAR mechanic. Someone also mentioned in the previous thread that SW was really the top earner in the family which was apparently said on a Nancy Grace podcast. CW had a lot to gain if he simply got all of SW's customers by default and as well as pocketing a tidy sum from selling the house.

They both also thought they would get a fresh start for themselves and be viewed as sympathetic figures by the public at the same time.
MOO

It doesn't matter to Shanann, Bella or Celeste if he had a 'condition'. They are still dead because of deliberate choices he made. It's just a way of not taking responsibility for his actions, which his family is apparently trying to enable. Might as well call it a mid life crisis, but I suppose a pseudo medical term sounds better to them. After Nov 19th it won't matter anyway.

What a heart felt story. You are so right about how sad it is that she does not get to see how incredible her son is. So glad he and you have your happy ending.

Speculation;

I think we're going to find out that the girls were sedated or poisoned.

Has it ever been discussed here before that he may have burned something like evidence or packaging in the barbecue?
