I get so angry at things like them totally refusing to ignore his attempt to get away with murder. So many LE agencies involved because he stood there and lied his 🤬🤬🤬 off while preening for the cameras. Their whole "yeah but what triggered it?" was irritating too. I guess they are in denial about his proven affair too.
BBM. No, they seemed quite proud that he would leave his pregnant wife and two children for a quite recent (it seems) sexual partner. They actually seemed gleeful that he 'did not love her no more'.

How many 'exclusive' interviews have they done?
Haaaaa. Atleast three. Funny enough, they are all essentially carbon copies of one another, atleast in terms of content.

  • #563
I am stunned. I am lots of things actually but would not be allowed write them here !
I had sympathy for his family, I felt they were grieving to the same extent, and in some ways worse, than Shanann's family. How wrong was I .
Is the whole family delusional ? He couldn't bury his kids with Shanann so he put them in tanks - is that the excuse ? Do they even refer to her by name ?
There is a time and a place for interviews and this us not if. How dignified and brave Shannan's family have been throughout this - they who would have every right to play the blame game - but they carry on, in silence.

Try not to choke.

I’m not worried. This is the type of interview that angry people who have lost, participate in.

If they had any hope of CW backing down from his plea agreement, which is legally difficult in the first place, they wouldn’t have put themselves out there like this.

They are trying to gain some control, and basically get the last word in before sentencing.
I'm not worried either. And, I really don't think they're doing their son any favors. MOO

My God. This is just so vile. She’s dead at the hands of their son, and yet they continue to attack her.

I’m glad they concealed their faces though, I think all broadcast media should do the same.

And use the mute button...
Appears to me that this is the only one of the three interviews where they asked for their faces not to be shown. Coincidentally, it is the only one that is local to them. If they believe in their son, why are they hiding their faces from their community?

  • #566
Yeah but I think they're saying that to excuse his odd behavior and failure to cry or show concern after the deaths. So he's not really a murderer. He just acts like a guilty person would because he's not sure what else to do.

Lol

Interestingly, I tended not to pay much attention to his inappropriate facial expression either. I listened to his words, and they sounded strange to me. But mostly, rushing to push daughters in the tanks fully implicated him, in my eyes.

However, yesterday I saw a photo from that video, where he was laughing. He looked very happy and very handsome. He felt free. (And in the interview, he said how the kids were his whole life).

This happy face is the scariest thing.

I think Shanann’s family will speak on sentencing day. Their words will have far more impact than this pathetic hit job that CW’s family attempted to perpetrate.

Of course the judge will speak as well, and his are the words that really matter.

Attractive people are usually liked. And if Shanann was not liked, kids should definitely have been. It was something else.

I think it could be, partially, transference. Some of SW's friends inadvertently might have done her a disfavor by describing her as a person who was hyperorganized and it somehow came across as controlling. Then CW's old coworkers chimed in saying she was bossing him around. Et voila! Controlling!

Much has been said and written about controlling men, but controlling women are usually actively disliked as well. Pure transference. No one thought at that moment that perhaps there was a reason CW needed to be controlled. (Given what he ended up doing, obviously).

And also, as I came to understand, not everyone likes small-scale vendors. This is another area, I almost never came across them, but maybe this is a factor, too? Maybe photos of these patches were somehow irritating ?

In addition, there exist people ready to post about Thrive nut bar for 10 pages, or even diagnose Munchausen by proxy based on it, or on frequent visits to doctors.
No. Many attractive women are not liked by other women.

I did note that the two Colorado interviews did not mention abuse of CW by SW like they allow in the NC interview. I wonder if they edited it out...

Wow. I didn’t think about that. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did.

Classy. Then again, it would have been classier to not give them airtime at all.

IRL, possibly.

Social media is another thing.

But "a beautiful family", or SW with girls, are very likeable.

Exclusive: Parents of Chris Watts speak out after his murder plea deal
"It was a very hard relationship," said Cindy Watts, Chris' mother. "It was a very hard relationship (with Shanann) as far as I'm concerned. I couldn't do anything right."

The Wattses said their son changed once he met Shanann.

The Wattses said their son's relationship with Shanann was abusive and they felt she isolated Chris from his family in the time they were together.

Ronnie said he believes the initial thing Chris told police -- that he killed his wife only after finding out she had strangled their daughters.

"It's hard for me to believe that he would hurt them girls no matter what," he said. "The story he told me that night, I believed it: The way he looked at me, the way he was crying, I believed it."

They are hoping someone else might step up to defend Chris
Dad says if he did it all he can accept it. Well, Daddio, get ready to accept it. I can't help but see the irony of them wanting answers from Chris that they aren't being given because you know who else wanted the truth from him?? Shannan's family and friends and they didn't get it either. Instead he dishonored her with lies and his family has lead a smear campaign against her while hiding until today.

Abuse? This murderer strangled his two young daughters and a pregnant wife. In cold blood. What do they even mean by abuse? He was laughing the next morning. In hindsight, he should have been chained to a post and never let out of the room.

I’m not at all surprised that CW’s parents felt SW isolated him from his family. I’ve suspected that was the big gripe percolating underneath all of this for a while.

I think there is a pattern of CW doing things his family doesn’t like - taking a plea deal, and perhaps moving across the country to Colorado with a wife they didn’t like, etc. Instead of explaining his big boy decisions to his parents, he leaves them to interpret why these things are happening. They naturally assume he’d never purposely choose to do something they disapprove of, so it’s the fault of the wife or the lawyers.

I think CW is happy to have them blame the lawyers for the deal just as he was happy to have them blame Shanann for his “isolation”. Just as he would have been happy for them believe SW absconded with his kids or killed them, if he could have made either of those stories work. It’s always been about what’s easiest for CW. I don’t see any reason he’d change now.

Agreed 100%. They do not see the pattern of CW playing one party against another. Now his defense attorneys, before it was SW. You hit the nail on the head IMO!

The original newscast I watched was different than what's up now. There wasn't pictures of the girls spread throughout for one. It was just them on their couch and her showing pictures, one of which was in the hallway. The anchor also pointed out that while they believe his original story they had no evidence to support that opinion and mentioned they (Denver 7) had spoken with a local attorney who said it was highly unlikely he could get out the Plea at this time. There's a small town here in Weld County that was evacuated tonight due to a suspicious device that was found, so that kind of took over quite a bit of the newcast.

But why is it so easy to believe that SW strangled her baby girls?.... Because your son, that lied to the world that his family vanished without a trace, told you so?

Exactly. There were rumors spread, whispered from the shadows of the Internet. I now have no doubt about there origin.

Excellent points. I think you’re right.

That’s what I figured. They’ve lost and they know it. All they can do now is scream, yell, and spread lies.

There is no small victory coming in the form of a white knight saving CW from the clutches of the plea deal he signed.
