..I've come to the conclusion (but not certain), that because he is a family annihilator, he's terrified of having to sit there through every humiliating, shameful moment of arriagnment, preliminary hearing (at which probable cause is determined), and ultimately trial. Having his family and the world hear every detail of what he did and who he was, in dramatic detail, through testimony, large blow ups of texts and computer searches, autopsy photos showing the bodies of his babies with mouths gasping open.
He has seen the autopsy report. And he knows what else there is to present at trial.
I think he can't face this level of unmasking.
Consider that 81% of these annihilators also kill themselves. They can't handle the stress of life or the shame of financial issues. Losing control of their families. A separation. Their terrible lies exposed. So they kill everyone and then themselves.
He didn't. Likely because he thought his lies and manipulation would work.
When he saw it wasn't working it could be it was too much to go through. So he was desperate to stop more of the dog and pony show.
There likely is more evidence we aren't aware of, too.
I'm not sure but that's the best I can do.
I wish. I genuinely think that he wouldn’t be rattled by that...
In addition to the autopsies, I hope they showed him pictures of his babies being pulled from the crude oil tanks..... and I hope it broke him once and for all!
I got quite pizzed off when the newsman asked them "was he leaving her, or was she leaving him?" and they shot back "He was leaving HER" (like they were pleased, he was justified) then dad said "he wasn't in love with her no more". Well a big fat so WHAT! He has 3 kids with her - guess what, it's not all about YOU anymore .
The selfishness stuns me and I can see they would have enabled/ encouraged it.
It’s saying video unavailable for me.
It’s amazing. The parents of these FA’s are basically the same people. I hadn’t seen these people until today, yet after watching them, I felt like I’d seen them before.Fully agree! Denial is a normal experience linked with the grief process.. I do get that. However what I just watched is deeper than that. In fact appalling and I can see that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Absolutely no humility on their part whatsoever for their son being responsible for not only the death of Shannan but also Nico.
I find it disturbing that she goes on to essentially shame Shannan.
Sadly what I have just watched fits with the profile of FA parents. Cindy W clearly has boundary issues big time. Wonder how often in life she has run to save her son.
I can tell you now if I murdered my kids, my mother would question whether I did it. However if the evidence points to me even possibly killing her grandkids there is no way she would be publicly defending me.
Unfortunately that interview reminded me of SP's mum

Agreed 100%. They do not see the pattern of CW playing one party against another. Now his defense attorneys, before it was SW. You hit the nail on the head IMO!
I can understand them not understanding or even believing he killed them, but he isn't 12. He could have talked to them about it over the phone had he wanted to. Shan'ann's parents didn't get to talk to their daughter either. It was so very quick for them too. I understand that they don't care about Shan'ann or that's the impression I have gotten. What I can't understand is no mention of their grand babies, by name. They were called the girls. They seem to forget by killing Shan'ann he did kill one grand baby. So obviously, he is capable of killing children.

I get so angry at things like them totally refusing to ignore his attempt to get away with murder. So many LE agencies involved because he stood there and lied hisoff while preening for the cameras. Their whole "yeah but what triggered it?" was irritating too. I guess they are in denial about his proven affair too.
I found Dahmer to be very interesting. In his interviews, he came across as intelligent, well spoken, and dare I say, likable.
He was as depraved as they get, but he also had a rare ability to be introspective.
Clearly he knew right from wrong, and legally, that is all that matters.
CW proved that he knew right from wrong, simply because of his coverup.
Attractive people are usually liked. And if Shanann was not liked, kids should definitely have been. It was something else.
I think it could be, partially, transference. Some of SW's friends inadvertently might have done her a disfavor by describing her as a person who was hyperorganized and it somehow came across as controlling. Then CW's old coworkers chimed in saying she was bossing him around. Et voila! Controlling!
Much has been said and written about controlling men, but controlling women are usually actively disliked as well. Pure transference. No one thought at that moment that perhaps there was a reason CW needed to be controlled. (Given what he ended up doing, obviously).
And also, as I came to understand, not everyone likes small-scale vendors. This is another area, I almost never came across them, but maybe this is a factor, too? Maybe photos of these patches were somehow irritating ?
In addition, there exist people ready to post about Thrive nut bar for 10 pages, or even diagnose Munchausen by proxy based on it, or on frequent visits to doctors.
But why is it so easy to believe that SW strangled her baby girls?.... Because your son, that lied to the world that his family vanished without a trace, told you so?
I'm sure they felt everything he did was justified on some level. Their whole attitude was just off, and it's easy to see where he would get the idea that's he entitled to what he wants and that everything bad is someone else's fault. What's the bet they don't have an issue with the affair and can justify that away as well. Their precious golden boy was hard done by who didn't love his wife so deserved to have an affair since SW is such a horrible person.
I think k the only honest thing in that interview was the mention of CW experiencing rage at the time of their murders. FA are known to go into intense rage. And sadly they tend to murder in a brutal fashion.
The Wattses said their son's relationship with Shanann was abusive and they felt she isolated Chris from his family in the time they were together.
Chris Watts' parents break their silence after son's guilty plea in murder of wife, daughters
CW did not discard SW in the crude tanks only because of logistics -- what a liar. MOO
Yup. Most of us feel the same way. I fully expected it, because it’s like they are all cut from the same cloth. It’s tough to actually see it though. My God. It’s as bad as I could have imagined and worse. I’m speechless and sick reading all of that. I can’t even wrap my mind around it all. The dysfunction.
And he actually said he put the girls in oil because he couldn’t put her with them after what she did? And they’re buying all of this.
I may throw up. I feel physically ill.
