Wow you are right! This was new from what was posted before. Now she is saying that the defense destroyed the letter possibly. And she says Shannan was dangerous and when asked what happened to the sweet boy from high school the mom says “shannan happened”! Wow!
Why would the defense destroy it? Because they realized it was forged?

If this weren't so incredibly sad and disrespectful both to SW's memory and her family, this last minute hail mary and "exclusive" Defamation Media Tour would be a little funny. I've literally gone from being angry to cringing with each update.

Wow - that video in the second interview. After the newscasters show the clip of CW parents, they talk more about the case and say there is a "letter" that CW wrote to his sister at some point and said, "If anything happens to me, look at my wife," and that the family says that proves Shanann was unstable. That is the first I have read/seen of this "letter." Have we discussed that at all here? (49 threads I may have missed!!)

ETA more detail: This is also the video where the reporter asks, "What happened to this kid from Pine Forest High School?" showing an innocent picture of CW. And his mother says, "What happened? He met Shanann."

The newscaster also says in the clip, that the Watts family felt that "Shanann was dangerous and that they didn't even go to the couple's wedding."

Reminds me of Chris Coleman sending those death threat letters to himself .. setting the “scene”.

Before killing his whole family.

Really? A letter? More revision of history.
I find it impossible to believe if a letter existed it wouldn't have been trotted out long before this. And if it did exist, I would consider the statement to be another attempt by CW to make his family take his side when he walked out on his pregnant wife and two little girls.

@MsBetsy, more:

"We were denied contact with our son, from August through October."

“How does he go from a decent person to a killer?” she asked. “If he won’t fight for his daggone self, I will.”

“He was in sports from when he was 5 until 17 years old,” Cindy told the station. “He was normal, he didn’t have a temper, he was just easygoing like his dad. He’s not a monster.”

According to KMGH, the couple claimed their son changed when he married Shan’ann, alleging the couple had an abusive relationship and Shan’ann isolated Chris from his family.

It sounds to me like She isolated herself from CW after he was charged. There is no way he couldn’t have spoken with her from in jail.

Shes getting worse. I didn't think it was possible, but I'm sure tonight she wont be able to hold back. It will probably make the last lot of interviews look 'nice'. Sadly, you would think she may reflect, take on board what people are saying and tone it down. But no, rotten apples lie together.. IMO, I think shes just getting started.

I hope Im proven wrong for the sake of SW's family and friends.

As for the grandkids, I wonder if she truly loved them. Often children are seen as reflections of the mother, who she despised. From what I recall she didnt go to their birthday parties etc, that says alot.

I think that it was the other way around. He didn't want to speak to her.

More likely he requested she not be able to contact him.

Yes...... I dread to hear what they said in the live interview with CO local 9News that is supposed to air tonight at 9:00pm MT. Will this be the first face to face interview? The only others I’ve seen since yesterday when they went public were via Skype/FB. Makes me nervous!
His fans are all probably making popcorn in anticipation.

No it’s not the way to go about this, but they’re striking me as uneducated and not very sophisticated in these matters. They’re desperate.
I agree, they're uneducated and need help with public appearances. Being uneducated though isn't an excuse for their words, they could speak with a plum in their mouth but the sentiment would be the same. I hope they take a back seat, speak to CW and stop bad mouthing Shanann in public. If, in their perspective, CW was controlled, henpecked or w/e, they're given CW a motive and strangely, Mrs Watts seems okay with it, it's the 'trigger' that counts, that's what she wants to know.
I don't think I can watch anymore of their interviews, I'll just read here for updates. :)

Did you watch the video in that article? It has been updated since last night. Supposedly CW's sister has a letter that says if anything ever happens to him, to look at Shanann. Also, the reporter confirms that CW's family didn't attend his and Shanann's wedding. Near the end of the video. MOO

Smells like a set-up to me and evidence of premeditation.

I'm speechless. I have no words. The gall of these people.

Oh, and this video confirms that they didn't attend the wedding. Just in case anyone was still looking for a link.

She wants him to go back and change his guilty plea. She wants some defense attorney to step up and represent him. She thinks the public defenders have forced him into this. Insanity.
Exactly -- If she wanted something other than CW agreeing to a plea deal, why didn't she make some inquiries about finding a good and dedicated criminal defense lawyer who is DP qualified, taken her checkbook, and call him for a chat. In August.

They’re pathetic. It’s painful to watch.

That's the craziest part - that the tv interviews didn't even show the most outrageous and offensive parts of the interview. That all came from the newscaster giving a summary of it. I wonder if when the cameras were off, that the parents let their guard down a bit, and just went off on a rant to the reporter. Otherwise you would think they would have aired those parts. JMO.

so really, we're supposed to believe that the sister didnt make a copy?
Remember when so many of us said the thing that might convince us that he was telling the truth were text messages or letters of her saying things like she is going to kill them or something like that? Maybe they were reading here the whole time and came up with the idea of the letter. OR... CW wrote it himself in the weeks before the murder. If it even exists.

Wow. And according to the accusers, the defense likely destroyed the alleged warning letter!!
