Maybe he wrote it while they were visiting them.... if that is when he started planning SW's death.
I hope this is okay to say. I read something earlier today that it was written in NC by CW on his mother’s computer which has been verified as to date, etc. It was supposedly witnessed by a few people!
So, where has this letter and witnesses been hiding! Disturbing! o_O:(

At this point, the only decent thing they could do would be to not fly to CO for CW’s sentencing. CW clearly didn’t want their version of help since his arrest. They should respect his wishes and Shan’ann’s grieving family and stay home in NC. Honestly, if they had any self awareness or self respect, they would not show up for the sentencing. They can visit him in prison later, if he allows it.
Sadly their interviews show the level of decency they have. I expect they will both be there and we will be treated to more ‘exclusives’ from them after smh

Edited by me.... operator error!

I’m giving CW’s Dad a bit of a break. I think he’s a broken man/father over all over this, but also a man/father who would accept his sons guilt and the consequences of that guilt. I think he cared for Shannan & loved his grandkids....But it’s his wife who is at that controls of this sudden public run away train and he’s at a loss to stop it/her.
So do you think Mrs. Watts is controlling her husband? I think we know how she feels about that.

Just all sounds too convenient

Chris Watts' parents say they want their son to take back his guilty plea | Daily Mail Online

Now reached British press although this story has a few inaccuracies imo

Hey Smucklecrumble, I am English, the Watts case has been reported in the British press from the beginning. Today it is sharing space with the recent murder of Sana Muhammad who was murdered by her ex-husband in London on Monday, whilst she was washing up at the kitchen sink. He shot at her through the window with a crossbow.....she was eight months pregnant.....in front of her other young children....the arrow narrowly missed the baby. She was rushed to hospital and the baby boy delivered by Caesarean. He is alive but critical. God bless him and our NHS. I wonder if this slaughter of women and children will ever end.

I think they might get tossed from the courtroom. No judge is going to tolerate an outburst from mommy. Someone needs to medicate her stat.

Wouldn't we all like to know what makes a persona killer? Someone on the other thread told me his parents were victims too. (I wish I knew how to bring it over) I no longer agree. In fact, I am beginning to see, he is probably a victim of theirs. His Mother is acting like he is 12 years old. He was smart enough to cover up his misdeeds and hide his little girls in oil tanks. I am certain he can decide how to plead. He is a grown man. I have no doubt they are grieving but I don't think its because they lost their precious grand babies. They seem more upset because "he will die in prison and no telling what they will do to him in there". Those were the mom's words.

I definitely agree that CW living the remainder of his life in prison is a huge chunk of their distress. Rightly so, I suppose, though he deserves nothing less. However, I am starting to believe that just as much of their angst is coming from CW making the decision to accept the plea deal without their input. His mother seems absolutely apoplectic that she didn't get a say in the process. It appears to be what is driving her to behave in a manner that is entering the realm of the unhinged. She personally is going to undo the deal. I have to believe that is not a new behavior. Is it any wonder that CW took the first opportunity to move away and isolate himself? Poor SW having to navigate this mess of a relationship. Jmo.

Yes. Way too convenient. A “Hail Mary” desperation move.
Totally. They are desperate and trying everything and anything. Flinging mud in the hopes that some of it sticks

The sheriff might give one to each of his parents, too. I think they have incited almost as much public anger and outrage as their son has.

To be honest, I now think that bulletproof vest was the DA's reasonable idea. No way would he have risked anything happening to CW until the confession was read in full.

Technically, the sentencing is the lesser of the two, but I don't think the DA will risk anything spoiling his moment of triumph. (He indeed performed a marvelous job). So, I think CW will get a bulletproof vest as well.

As to the rest, no, but I expect the court building to be thoroughly vetted. Because this case will probably be included in law textbooks as the example of "clean, neat and smart" police and DA's job.

The Rzucek's statement was perfect. I would sue the **** out of CWs family for defamation after that BS. And I hope they do if they continue down this path.
I would too. CW family finances should be sluethable by now. Because I would love to know if his family is really going on a interview campaign while collecting money to blame SW.

So I hope SW family sues all of them to stop any profiting beforehand. Jmo

It seems Cindy is choosing to ignore everything Chris did. She seems to think this will go to trial and somehow prove SW killed the kids and then voila Chris can come home.
Delusional. Can you imagine if she was your MIL?? Hoo boy!

Hey fellow Brit! My comment was in regards to CWs parents ‘exclusives’ reaching British press and not the entirety of it (previous links were only in NC and CO) Thanks though

He grew up thinking his mom was his sister. It really screwed him up.
If Ted's mom wasn't killed like the rest then how sorry can people feel for her? Lol

Oh how convenient. Written on his mother's computer. She is digging herself in deeper and deeper.
He had to write a letter to his sister when he was in the same house with her?
He couldn't just say it to her?

We have a thread for Sana and her baby. Terrible case.

I am old enough to know many people that that happened to. None of them became serial killers.
One of my best childhood friends found out that his eldest sister was his mother when he was in his early twenties. It did not change their relationship. They kept treating each other as siblings and he treated his grandmother as his mother.
Me too, Jennifer, a friend of mine and my supervisor's mother grew up with sisters who were really their mothers. So many in the past grew to adulthood and found out they were adopted, Barbie Rogers (she suffered a mental breakdown) was one of them. Of course, it's a shock and many seek therapy to work through the trust they've lost but they don't become serial killers!

Back to CW, his world is unravelling fast, gay lover and choke hold mistress came out of the woodwork, his parents are let loose and Mum is wasting no time airing her grievances about her dead DIL :( , he really needs to sit down and talk to them (which means, he won't), imo.
Don't we all feel the puzzle pieces are coming together? Roll on 11/19

Dexter, I think they are not trying to make the profit. Either, they are looking for ways to afford a private lawyer, or CW will need money in jail.

Does not matter. He will be sentenced, and after that, they can do whatever they want, it is not going to change a thing.

CW had miniscule chance to get less than life if he murdered only SW, and that only if he used a very different motive for defense. But two kids, 3 and 4 years of age, no one would forgive him. Ever.
