Amen. This whole thing is quite sad. There are some dark souls out there. Those who murder. Those who blame victims. And those who gleefully capitalize on all the suffering.

It is hard to hear about how Shanann suffered. If this is real info, it's heartbreaking.

It's truly making my stomach and heart hurt. They moved on to describe in lots of detail what they think happened that night...and I turned it off as well. They were saying the girls woke up and tackled him. I heard no facts at the beginning to support that, and honestly didn't want to listen to see if they supposedly had any.

It is for me. If you are going to put yourself up on the world stage and meddle in legal things, you should get the respectful terminology right.

I don't think it would be considered disrespectful. In court it would be rude to address the judge as "Hey Judge Kapcow!!" Instead one should say, "Excuse me your honor."

I don't even say "you". I will say "Would your honor like us to begin setting up now?" Or whatever.

But in a letter, the way they addressed him is fairly ordinary. Not extremely formal but not considered rude, IMO.

I am new and was only approved a day or so ago - but I have followed this thread with interest and horror, as it so similar to the end my own marriage (except clearly my ex didn't murder me, however, he did strangle me when I confronted him with his adultery, but I'm lucky, he stopped). Anyway, the Watts's family behavior over the last few days has only compounded the similarities - their denials are so similar to my in-laws and their fantastical denials around their son's behavior towards me and our little girls...

Anyway, I didn't come on here to talk about me, I just wanted to say that I believe NK. (and I'm not predisposed to supporting the 'mistress' since my ex-husband was cheating on me when I too was pregnant with my 3rd baby...). BUT it is hard to explain how GOOD people like CW are at lies. It is hard to explain how believable they are and how you can be duped. Even though the lies are absurd in hindsight, at the time, it all makes sense because these personality types are the best actors the world has ever seen (Oscar winning). Also, these personality types (CW) are like psychologists because they spot the weak point in their victims (NK, SW or me ) and they tailor their lies and their emotions to exploit their victim. She'll have believed him until the end and he'll have hit all the right buttons for her. Poor girl.
And of course poor, poor Shannan, Bella, Celeste and Nico. My heart breaks for them all and for their family and friends.

Finally, I can't find the post, but someone said on here way way back in one of the first threads that the porch interviews were all about the AP. Such a good spot so early on.

I'll keep looking for that post.

Your background appears to be very similar to Shan'ann's, being pregnant, adultery by your partner, your little girls, denials regarding CW's family about CW.
When we are duped, as you have been, it makes us more wary, about others.
I am hoping, your life now, with your girls is rewarding, after what you experienced.

This case is emotionally draining. Those babies just deserved so much better. To imagine what exactly went down in that house that fateful evening/early morning just rips me apart inside

I’ll check back on Monday when the sentencing happens and justice is served to this evil human being. I’m headed to bed now, but not before I kiss my sleeping children. My mama heart is heavy tonight.

I'm hopelessly behind. I was watching my recording of Grey's Anatomy and saw that the mistress went public. Then I paused, came here and saw what she revealed. I am now completely convinced that this was a very premeditated crime, where I previously thought there was a) some kind of eruption when Sha'nann got home or b) one of the girls had died in his custody (intentional or accidentally) when he was caring for them and he killed her and the other to cover his tracks). I'm so grateful that this woman has spoken out, as I did believe she probably didn't know the true status of his marriage. Now I know she didn't and I know now that he is, indeed, a stone cold killer of his wife and children.

What did he beat her with? He had no marks on his hands. Did he come after her as she lay asleep?

I listened to the whole, entire, bizzaro, ridiculous, sad podcast. I don't believe these women are credible tonight. One of her sources close to the investigation said it was not the AP nor financial concerns - but the MLM that caused the whole thing. So please guys - don't put much if any stock in what they came out with tonight re ANYTHING. While I do fully believe they have a line to the CW family, I think their sources for these autopsies/investigation are dubious at best. They put out a lot of twilight zone type conspiracy theories (implicating the Thayers, etc)...it was garbage. I think we should wait for the real evidence and autopsy reports before we give MRS anymore of our time. I know I want my 45 minutes back! Okay, just my 2 cents as always.

If correct, that Shan'ann was badly beaten, there would have been evidence in the house.

No, they’re not a reliable source, maybe what they’re saying is true, maybe not, but the thought that what they’re saying might be true is devastating to hear. The truth will come out on Monday.

Which confession? The story he told about Shanann killing the girls? The one that didn't make any sense? That wasn't him being stupid?

It was clever in that it was his only hope of a potential out for the murders of Bella and Celeste. But only if his confession could be sold. Of course most of us realize the evidence we knew about that existed and we saw it with our eyes, and we knew his confession was a lie.

But there were total strangers and they were all over the Internet and they seemed to really believed SW was capable of murdering her own daughters.

From what I've heard, they're a couple of people who run a nasty FB group that spread gossip and rumors. They have a podcast (audio show) and have weaseled information out of some of the case players under the guise of "helping" them. I don't listen, but have been told they spent the first 10 minutes of one podcast asking for money, they gush all over each other ad nauseam and one of them has a voice that sounds like nails on a chalkboard. They also have some coffee mugs for sale with bloody handprints on them. Oh, and their producer/media specialist is the one who attended the last hearing and wrote to the judge to ask that he call CW's mother. MOO

CW probably imagined he'd stroll into the police station on the Tuesday and report Shanann and the girls missing. He'd emphasise there's no urgency, he and Shanann had an 'emotional conversation' before he went to work on Monday and she decided to take a trip with the girls to clear her head. (No thought of NUA spoiling his plan)
He thought there'd be missing person flyers posted in the street and around town and no attention grabbing news stories.
Shanann's remains would be found in due course but not the girls. He'd garner sympathy from his and SW's family, townsfolk set up a gofund.me to search for the girls. All the while he's living high on the hog as a swinging bachelor with the AP or another. Meh.

This reminds me of another case, where the wife went missing, 'TO CLEAR HER HEAD'.
The husband lied +++. Then arrested.
The Trial will begin in a few months.
