We’ve discussed what was meant by he “ultimately strangled her” before. Now there’s a suggestion that he may have beaten Shan’ann but there didn’t appear to be any evidence of him using his hands to do this, no scratches etc. If the autopsy reveals she did sustain any form of beating, maybe he “went downstairs for a moment” in order to get a weapon. Of course that also ties in with his baby monitor BS story too.

I’m looking forward to learning the autopsy results, and if they simply confirm what we already know, I’ll be satisfied. At the same time I’m absolutely dreading it in case we learn anything else he may have done.

:) I know. Ever since someone mentioned it up thread, it’s been in my head. That stupid clothing comment set the tone for them to not like SW. They chose to hold onto that as opposed to being happy that their precious Chris had a wife who seemed to really love him and took care of him. She gave him adorable children, helped him improve his health, cooked him nice meals and spent time with him on vacations and concerts. Someone earlier mentioned we all think SW was a saint. No not a saint but I do think she wanted to be and tried to be a good wife and mother. She definitely didn’t deserve any of this. Maybe it’s the sentencing tomorrow, but for some reason, I’m feeling especially sad today that her life was taken.

What hits me the most is how positive she was about 2018 and it was going to be her year, an amazing year for her and her family, and she was doing everything to make that be true.

And in 2018 she and her children were murdered, by the person they trusted the most.

It’s absolutely heartbreaking.

I think he could have ambushed her from behind quite successfully, hands around her neck and kneeing her in the back. That way she falls forwards and down and uses her hands to save herself from falling rather than grabbing at him and scratching him. Brutal and horrific to imagine, but if she fell forwards onto the bed or the sofa he's basically got her arms pinned underneath her.

One thing that I was quite surprised at was that NK allowed her face to be shown. I would thing she would want to lessen the chance of some nutcase recognizing her somewhere down the road.
She most likely will be petrified to ever date again without an FBI check on the person.

I doubt that Mother Watts knew the Avril Lavigne song and especially the lyrics. I think she just didn’t like the skater boy comment because SHE is the one who was still buying Christopher’s clothes at that point so it offended HER. According to the VI that was something SW said to CW on their first date or when they met so basically Mother has hated SW since day one because of that one silly comment. So petty.
Great insight. It was on from day 1 and Moma was never going to concede that her opinion did not matter. It was probably the first time Chris ever went against her wishes.

Yes, I mean from the minute he lied to NK that he was divorcing Shanann. He told her about his very young girls, why not also tell her his wife was pregnant? Something stopped him from wanting to tell her he was divorcing a pregnant wife. I do agree his telling her the divorce was going to be final influenced when he decided he needed them to be gone. I think his lack of attention was him distancing himself from them because he knew what he was going to do.

I was wondering if he met NK and told her he was divorcing before he found out Shanann was pregnant? She filmed the pregnancy video mid June so maybe that’s why his reaction was so weird? that he knew he was in trouble because he just told NK they were divorcing.

If she hadn't posted a pic of herself then all the flying monkeys would be digging up what they could and posting those. Even if it weren't her.

On that Scott Reisch segment (see on you tube) he said IIRC that people giving victim statements could only look at the judge. He made it sound like a very strict rule.

With so many scenarios, I wonder if he might have pushed her down the stairs. I would think that would cause a lot of bruising all over her body as she hit each stair. Horrible image. He may have gone downstairs to finish her off.

The timing is right. So bizarre, ok to be a murderer but not to be known as a dad who left a pregnant wife. I guess it goes to the psychology of keeping his mask/image intact.

Quite frankly, I think she will move to another Anadarko location as they are a worldwide company. She may have already done that. She is educated and experienced in the oil industry so she should have no problem moving on.

Is this only in this case because I think I have seen victim statements given in the past where they do look directly at the killer?

Yes my thought too and she most likely will. Unfortunately she will be hounded for all the future books etc. that will come out.

I have often wondered why CW and his father went to the police station that day.
Had LE asked him to come and be interviewed?

I’m deliberately adding the bit prior … me, me, me.

"When Christopher called us … I said, ‘Do you want us to come down now?’ He said, ‘Tell Dad I need him. Tell Dad I need him to come down’. I said, ‘What about me?’ He said, ‘No Mom, just stay. Just send Dad’."

[Fascinating isn’t it? He didn't want to see her then and still doesn’t. Says much]

"And he picked him up at the airport and they drove to the police station and Chris still didn’t say anything to him, nothing. He’d already been interrogated 7 hours prior to that. He had already let the police go into his home, search everything, and he was going in for another interrogation".

Extended Interview: Cindy Watts, Chris Watts' mother, questions son's plea deal

The whole video is interesting, the part I'm referring to starts at about 26:13. The victims have to address the judge, and if they start to speak directly to the defendant the judge will stop them and tell them to look at him, not the defendant. Paraphrased.

MrsW said, "He's going to die in prison. There's no telling what would be done to him in prison”.

There’s no telling what can be done to an innocent pregnant woman and her innocent little girls when they’re in their own home by a murderous husband/father either. Maybe she should contemplate that before shooting her mouthing off again.

I think it is so weird, well everything with his family is weird, is that his dad was flying back home before they knew what had happened. If I understood her correctly, she said Ronnie was on the way back to the airport when the police called and said that Chris wanted to talk to him . Who leaves when your DIL and grandchildren are still missing and the police are interrogating your son? Surely his employer would have understood. Regardless of their dislike for Shanann, you think they would be there for their son. Edited to add, I would not be asking if you needed us to come down, I would have already been at the airport.

As we all know he's full of it.

You mean he was full of it. He’ll be scared sh**less when he rocks up to a bigger courtroom that’s packed to capacity, camera set up and a still photographer ... and Mommy Dearest will be waiting for him. Lights, camera, action!

NUA, the Thayers and NK are heroes in my book because they all contacted LE as soon as they realised something was very wrong. DA Rourke said he’d never wrapped up a case so quickly and it’s largely due to them.

@Tricia said she’ll invite Nick Thayer and Colorado303 to join her in a podcast post-sentencing. It would be wonderful if NUA could be invited too because she’s a super hero. I’d love to hear from all of them if it’s possible.

Right, "Chris still didn’t say anything to him, nothing.":rolleyes::rolleyes:

Not even why they were driving directly from the airport to the police station for more questioning?:rolleyes::eek:

I agree, NuttMeg. That drive from the airport wasn't silent. And I think CW used the conversation in the car to set the stage for his later "confession" at the police station to his father. The lying liar never stopped lying.
