Way back in August a criminologist had it down pat. That he planned it and did it to be with a girlfriend. Criminologist claims Chris Watts killed his family to start a new life with his lover | Daily Mail Online

I'm very surprised. I thought he did this spur of the moment or had just thought it up. I thought it was more a sudden thing. Oh, no. HE PLANNED IT ALL.

He's evil AND stupid.

I know the Watts are under a terrible strain. But I noticed the mom's emotion didn't come out until she spoke about Chris.

It's all heartbreaking, but what Bella suffered is extra terrible.

MOO

i held out for a long time hoping that he did not go into this intending to kill the girls. this changes everything. i literally can't even comprehend this level of human depravity.
Yes I want to know when the girls were killed.

@MassGuy What do you think? More than we could have asked for? CW “is devastated by all of this, and although he understands that words are hollow at this point, he is sincerely sorry for all of this. Thank you.”
Just your token appology, about what I expected.

I still have some unanswered questions as to the extent of premeditation, and when those kids were killed.

I want to know when he sent that text message to his co worker about saying that he’d go out to the site that morning.

Smothering was a surprise.

The apparent lack of injuries on the kids when he shoved them in the tanks is also a bit surprising.

I thought they’d be more extensive than they appear to be.

DA Rourke: Watts un-enrolled the girls in school. He contacted a realtor to sell the house and he texted with his girlfriend about their future together in the days after they died.
Did he unenroll them before or after the murders?

I cannot judge CW's parents for saying they forgive him. He is their son, and always will be no matter what he has done. Forgiving him does not condone, excuse, or exonerate his actions, and his parents will suffer greatly due to what their son did. The choice of forgiveness is up to each individual. It is often a very difficult journey. IMO that choice should be respected.

Prediction, he'll find a new love interest inside or outside of prison, life will be behind bars and one day he will tell his story OR he'll commit suicide and be done. He did have tears run down his cheek one time and he was struggling physically to keep it together. I really just don't know what to think about this guy. I hate that he knew how much Shanann adored him and wanted their marriage to work - I wish she had been the one that had moved on. Sorry for the rambling, really don't know what to say.

If he texted the co worker the night before to say he'd take care of the site, the kids may have already been dead.

I think that is the case too.. He killed girls waited for Shanann.. Guy is a monster

His attny makes short statement from him. She had no emotion in her voice. Good lady.
During the DA speaking it showed his female attorney cut her eyes at him and I am sure she was thinking of what a monster he is. I am seriously sick to my stomach.

Heartwrenching to hear and see the families speak. If it wasn't enough-- all that he had done-- we hear from the DA that the hatch opening was only 8 inches in diameter. We hear that the small opening caused scratches on little Bella's bottom. And there were tufts of blonde hair found on the rim of one opening. Chris tells them that he could tell there was different levels of oil and water in the tanks by the sounds of the splashes their little bodies made when they hit the surface.

He is indeed a monster . He was only pretending to be a good son, a good husband & father. He was lurking and hiding the whole time. He can't hide anymore.

Rourke: Even worse, what must Bella, aged 4, and Celeste, aged 3, must have experienced or thought as their father – the one man on this planet who was supposed to nurture and protect them – was snuffing out their lives. They both died from smothering. Let me say that again. The man seated to my right smothered his daughters. Why? Imagine the horror in Bella’s mind as her father took her last breaths away.

Your Honour, understand very clearly, Bella fought back for her life. The frenulum, the connective tissue between her upper lip and her gum had an inch and a half – excuse me – a centimetre and a half laceration. She bit her tongue multiple times before she died. She fought back for her life as her father smothered her.

Celeste had no such injuries. In fact, she had no external injuries at all, but according to the medical examiner, she was smothered nonetheless.

I don't even know what to say.
He shoved those babies in an 8 inch opening?

Well, my first take away is that the Watts parents were right about one thing: their son never lost his temper. It appears the murders were cool and calculated. As were their poorly planned and executed cover-up.

Second take is I am surprised he said SW strangled CeeCee when he knew he had not strangled them. He perhaps thought they would not be able to tell. He was not that bright. But I guess we knew that.

PS the MRS podcast recklessly put out false information regarding autopsy results. At least they are now out of commission due to their own petty, unprofessional infighting. Good riddance.

Just a thought....many people thought this case was going to prove complicated. Oddly, there was nothing "complicated" about it. Just straight-up shockingly depraved. For the oldest reason in the book. For some "strange" , as the cruder of adulterers like to say.

Wow. CW legs shook like a dog under the table. Cindy begged CW to look at her and he would not. What more is there to say. I'm numb.

Yes. Frankie and his family have empathy, compassion, and a conscience. They live with integrity.
Yea. All this. ^^^

The Rzuceks just schooled the world in the primer: “Difference between “nice” vs “kind””

Kindness requires loving compassion. The ability to empathize. selfless devotion. A good heart.

Niceness can be faked for selfish motives. For appearances.

The Rzucek family walk the walk of love. They deserve sainthood.

What the DA said was just too hard to hear. I can’t believe all the premeditation that went into it. How he could smother his little angels to death and dispose of their bodies to me is unfathomable. RIP Shanann, Bella, Celeste and Nico

Separate from this, all the “inside info” the MRS podcast had was 100% wrong. That’s the only positive out of this.

So our favorite podcasters were dead wrong about the injuries to Shanann.

No surprise there...

I’m glad that was the case though.

Sounds like someone had a come to Jesus talk with the parents, and they actually accepted it. I am shocked.
It's hard to deny video. I hate they made those interviews. I believe it will haunt them forever. Apparently their son has lied to them all along and they are just figuring it out.
